"mmmm nice"
Had this one in the humi for 12 months and the time did it the job turning a good smoke into a great one.For a small stick it has lots of flavour ( love Maduros ) and plenty of smoke,a bit tight to start with and a small burn problem did deter from the overall enjoyment but well worth the time, enjoyed it with a Arbelour A'bunda.

"A Small Cigar With Great Taste"
I only like small cigars when they're fairly exceptional and this one seems to be just that. It really looks nice and seems to be firm without either being big or box pressed. So for a small size it still feels O.K. in hand. Now on to the taste because appearances can be fine while the smoke itself isn't.

This one lit easy and seemed just a little tight as it got going. Right away I liked the taste. It was smooth and had a woody chocolatey taste and finished clean with a sweetness that I liked. I do not like cigars that have a prominent front sweetness because it's as if the wrapper is artificially infused with a sweet flavor that was not natural to the tobacco. This sweetness was spot on. It was on the back end and it was not to prominent meaning it was just a product of the best seed, soil, and aging. About a third in I needed to correct the burn. No problem since it was small ringed. The taste was consistently good as it burned and at about the final quarter I again corrected the burn just a wee bit. From here it remained nice and I removed the label and litterally smoked it to the nub actually stopping only when my finger started getting uncomfortably hot!

Cohiba has a winner here. Perhaps the roll is a bit tight, but it did not significantly interfere with a delightful smoke. I really only like two small cigars I've tried, the Padron Maduro '64 Principe' and Maduro '26 No. 35. They're the best rolled small cigars this reviewer has ever tried. They are also two of the best blends for my tastes. Now I can add another small cigar to my list as the Cuban Cohiba Secretos Maduros are different and extremely tasty

"Nice little PC but tight"
These arrive in beautiful little black box of 10. The ouside is a cardboard carton where the Cuban seal is. The little black box is beautiful packaging.

Now the smoke..very interesting flavor, medium strength, and a great little maduro flavor. The problem is the draw is a bit tight. You would expect better from a Cohiba. The second half loosens up. The flavor is nice but for the same money you could get 10 Monte 2's.

I would go that direction. It is worth it though for the one time experience. I'd like to try it's big brother.

"Stick = Hype"
Everyone waited to see what the new maduros would taste like...now we all know...OUTSTANDING. This stick was constructed and pulled like a Cohiba, but the dark wrapper caught your eye. The best part was the taste...cocoa, dark and sweet. That is important to me because I don't like the coffee taste in maduros. A fantastic smoke worthy of the Cohiba name.

"Promising"
Smoked this on the heels of smoking a Magicos earlier in the week, and didn't think I was going to like this as well as the Magicos until about the half-way point. I do like that it lacks the grassy flavors that most young Cohibas exhibit, but it seemed a bit one-dimensional the first half. The second half was a treat though, cocoa and coffee flavors, with less sweetness than the larger vitolas. The burn and draw were near perfect, and it ended much better than it started. I would rate the strength medium at best, but with a smoothness not usually apparent in the fresher Cohibas.

"Excellent PC!"
I for one think that overall Cohiba's are a bit over rated, not that they aren't excellent cigars (they certainly are), but that they are just price WAY to high. In most instances you're paying for the name, not the actual cigar. Well, that being said, with Cohiba's new Maduro line you're definitely getting what you pay for! I picked up a sampler of 2 each of all 3 in this line & was not disapointed by one of them. Being a guy that primarily smokes PC's I found the Secretos a magnificent smoke, dark oily wrapper, plenty of cocoa/coffee flaver & a nice spicey finish. As already mentioned, I too found a bit of a burn problem sometimes with all in this series, but it's a fair trade off. I loved these so much I picked up a box of each and let me just say the boxed presentaion is simply magnificent. With 5 years on them already, I can't wait to see what these taste like in 5 more!

"Tighter than a..."
Picked up 2 at LCDH TJ. Draw was way too tight on both. Good flavor. Very subtle at first and then really picked up the "chocolate". I give the construction a 5 because of the draw. Over priced based on the over-all experience.

"Good, but not really worth it"
A beautiful little cigar with a deep Cohiba taste. I thought the draw was a little tight. I wonder if Habanos is diluting the Cohiba name with all the new releases. For a small cigar to justify this type of premium pricing, I think it needs to be near perfect. While excellent and fun, the stick is not at that level.

"Cohiba Madura"
Has a nice chocolate spice flavor and finished really well for a small cigar. Burned my fingers, really nubbed it. A bit young and I would like to try the larger sizes when the price gets more reasonable.

"Cohiba Maduro Secretos"
Just smoked my 2nd one. Wasn't quite as good as the first, which I smoked immediately after receipt. Still one of the better cigars I've smoked, and definitely in the top 10. Both complex and flavorful.

"A wonderful little cigar - Highly recommended"
I recently purchased a box of 25 and 10. Both from June 2007. I let them rest for a bit and tried one this morning with some iced coffee. This is probably one of the best little cigars in the world! These little guys smelled of rich chocolate right out of the box. Beautiful construction and a gorgeous maduro wrapper. Even though the wrapper has been aged for 5 years I'm planning on letting the box of 25 sit to see if any flavors change. If you can't afford a box of 25, all Cohiba Maduro 5s come in boxes of 10 so everyone can afford to have a taste.

"Cohiba (maduro) Secretos"
Just received one of these, and had to smoke it right away - normally, I like to keep in humidor at least a year first, but couldn't help myself. Unbelievable cigar that kept getting better the longer I smoked it. Started with a taste similar to a Bolivar coronas, but became much more complex and flavorful. These new maduros may become some of the best out of Cuba. Expensive, but you get what you pay for - can't expect to pay Kia prices for Mercedes.
