"Yum"
I grabbed a box of these in Oct 05 and right out of the box at the time or right now this is an amazing little stick. The wrappers are perfection as is the overall construction, burn, and draw. The only problem is that due to the compact size it's over when the flavor is peaking. Not an actual complaint, you just wish, like my wife says, there were a couple more inches to it;0) Highly recommend this for a 20-25 minute retreat from the world. As others commented; a full flavored Boli in a small package.

"Boli, baby"
Great Bolivar spice and power in a portable format. Don't let the small size fool you, there is a lot of flavor in this pepper stick.

"Another try"
This cigar is really much better than my previous rating indicated. As far as flavor goes, this is probably one of the best tasting cigars I have had in a while.

"Quite enjoyable"
First few puffs indicated that this cigar was quite young and caused me to worry about the rest of it. However, the young taste quickly disappeared and it became quite a little flavor bomb, as well as producing a copious amount of smoke. Only draw-back was the construction, which caused me to touch up the burn about three times--I consider this a small price to pay, though, for such a tasty little cigar.

"Annual Review"
Just an update on this cigar after two years of age. (I bought a box a while back dated Nov 2005). It's really becoming a great smoke. It is much less vigorous than when fresh from the box which allows a subtle spicy richness to come through over core flavors of straw and tea. A very enjoyable smoke.

"Another Great Bolivar!"
Picked up a young box of these (May '07), as it's my goal to sample every Short or PC that there is, (not that I set the bar high or anything), and found it to be another fine example of Bolivar's handy work. Presentation & construction is excellent, but due to it's youth, I found that some of it's spicey complexity potential wasn't quite found yet, an excellent smoke though none the less with all that Bolivar charm. I'll probably smoke one or two more & then put them away for at least a year, as these will age to be magnificent!

"Everything a Cuban cigar should be..."
This was awesome! This was the second stick I tried from the box I bought a few weeks back. (Box date Nov 2005). This one was much better than the first one I tried. It was much more refined in taste yet still lively and flavorful. I don’t know if six weeks of rest helped it or if it was just a case of natural stick-to-stick variance, but this was a tremendous surprise. It had a slight cardboard edge throughout, but it was toned down a lot compared to the first stick I tried. A flavor of strong tea was pleasantly dominant most of the time with notes of hay and white pepper. There was a faint sweetness at the start that was very nice was well. I smoked this one down to a nub and I'm definitely looking forward to the rest of the box I have. I doubt they’ll last long!

"Best Minuto Out There"
I have had some age Boli CJ's and some young ones. I prefer them young at least the box I have (FEB 06). Extremely complex with bold Bolivar flavors. I enjoy these more then the Party Shorts, SCdL El Principe's, and Monte #5's. It doesn't get much better then this.

"raw"
This was the first one I tried out of the box I just bought (Nov 05). Not bad, but I could definitely tell they need more time to sit. This one was quite strong for its size - I could taste the "zing" before I even lit it. The first half was pretty raw, with a strong cardboard flavor. I was getting a little bummed out about it when it really came alive in the second half. At that point, a very intense tea flavor came on and dominated the rest of the experience. It was much nicer than the brown paper flavor that characterized the first half, but still a little raw and aggressive for my taste. It'll probably be a while before I fire up another one as they obviously need ageing, but it seems like I have something to look forward to.

"A masterpiece"
This is the best rich cigar I've had in so long I can't even remember. The body is strong, bold, but mellow and wholly enjoyable. It has a robust java flavor without unnecessary sweetness and the oily leaf serves it tremendously with a subtle oaky nuance. It was moist, dark, fantastic construction, consistent burn, and just utterly relaxing and low maintenance to sit back and enjoy. I'm in love!

"Great Flavor!"
I smoked a '98 tonight, my first Boli CJ after many experiences with the PCs, RCs, BBFs etc. I think I may actually like this one better than the PCs! Great draw and burn, that old-school Boli flavor, full or spice and wood, and packing a nice little punch...gotta hunt some down!

"Good stuff"
A nice "dog walker" from Cuba. This junior sized stick sported a slightly mottled rich brown wrapper with mild-to-medium veining. Densely constructed, firm in the hand, without any soft spots. Easy light. Firm draw. Gray-black flakey ash. Started with tobacco and white and black pepper. The first third laid down a backdrop of earth on which leather, mild cedar, and black cherry notes played out. Tunneling was also noted on one side that persisted to the halfway point (despite storage at 63 RH). The middle third brought a toasted tobacco flavor with hints of barnyard hay. The last third was mostly earth, spice, and cedar. All in all, this 40 minute smoke was pleasant and enjoyable, albeit tannic. This was not unexpected given its box code SVF 9/05. The dense construction, firm draw, and presence of tunneling detracted somewhat from the experience, but that could be overlooked somewhat by its flavor. Makes a great dog walker. Smoked without any accompanying beverage.

"Excellent"
This makes an excellent daytime smoke. Its smaller size means you have a good 30 minutes, but it is not overpowering and doesn't burn hot. The draw and burn are consistantly good. Solid earthy taste, but not dry. Excellent value at US$4 each...

"Above Average..."
I liked this cigar, however I have had better PC's. The draw was a little tight compard to what I like. Medium-Strong body (on the stronger side), earthy, dark coffee, and wood flavors with a spicy kick. Construction didn't hold up quite as well as I would like.
