"A wonderful cigar!"
This was an outstanding cigar. From top to bottom it surpassed all my expectations. The construction was excellent and the wrapper was beautiful. The draw was flawless which exuded smooth and creamy smoke. The flavor and aroma were wonderful as well. Although pricey this is a very good cigar.

"Great quality........."
This is an exceptional cigar. Construction was outstanding, burned even and consistent all the way down. As far as flavor goes, it was fine but to be honest (IMO) there are many many more quality cigars out there for a fraction of the price. This is a terrible value for the money but all in all, a good smoke.

"Fine Smoke"
This is a consistant smoke. Well made, with a luxurious oily wrapper, it is a pleasure to behold. Lit well, and burned evenly, right to the end. Its not creamy like the grand cru range, but its smooth full flavour makes it a fine smoke. Not as much complexityin flavours as I expected. Well balanced draw, gives lots of smoke. I found the taste balanced throughout. Rewarding and enjoyable.

"different flavor"
This is a great cigar! The flavor is unlike any other cigar. Its hard to pinpoint. Like sweet leather?

I like this cigar because to me its a different flavor; and the smell is how it tastes.

Its not an everyday smoke not for price but for its
flavor. I know that sounds conflicting but its one I would smoke only once a week as my palate can only handle it that often. It would be a waste to have it everyday.

"Wow-what a treat"
I bought this cigar in Las Vegas at Davidoff store and paid way too much-23.50. What a fine smooth smoke. Had to re-light half way through and the last couple of inches were a bit harsh for my beginner palate-but oh my my!

"RE light"
This was a very nice stick, yet construction on the last half led to a soft spot that gave way to haveing to re-light twice. The wrapper was just lovely with lots of oil and smooth finish to it. The cap cut very easy and left no end trails. The pre lit draw was nice withsome earthy taste to it. The foot lit even and burned that way all the way to the soft spot, then it had to be fixed. The taste was on the medium to full side with lots of coffee and peppery wood on the finish. The aroma was nice with rich smell to it, all in all a good smoke.

"Wow"
Of the non-cubans this is one of my favorites. Great constuction and appearance with flavor to match all but the best cubans. In blind tastings I would bet that this cigar would score as well as most of the cuban EL's

"Not enough flavor for the price"
No. 9 in Cigar Aficionado's top 25 cigars of 2004. It has a beautiful and shiny wrapper and a solid feel between the fingers. It smokes perfectly as everything from the draw, burn, and ash are flawless; lots of smoke too, and the head never gets spongy. It starts off slow, and eventually some mild spice and creamy and nutty pistachio flavors come out; they're smooth, but the flavors are rather thin and uninspiring. Perhaps worth another try, but the very high price means that next time won't be for a while.

"Decent but not outstanding"
This cigar started out intensely cocoa but quickly turned mild for the first half, with persistent toasty and nutty flavors. It was occasionally a bit harsh through the entire cigar, and only in the second half did it regain some of the fine cocoa flavors of the first half inch. At 1.5" it turned harsh and flavorless. For the price and hype I would have expected a far better cigar. The Padron 1964s are superior and cheaper in the super-premium price range.

"WOW"
How anyone can give this cigar a low rating is amazing. I've smoked about 15 of them and everyone was close to perfect. Great ash, consistant burn, ash is white and firm, taste is smooth. This is one of those smokes that you want to smoke to the end.

"Robusto Mucho Gusto"
Smooth. Not overly spicy or harsh. Impeccably crafted. This is EXACTLY what I want from a cigar. An hour plus of relaxation...kick on some Jazzanova on the patio speakers and pour up a snifter of some nice anejo...ahhhhhhhhhh. If you like your smoke to add to your evening (and not overwhelm you)...this is it. Life is too short to smoke cheap cigars...and this proves that theory. Gotta try one...

"Unique Flavor"
A nice unique flavor that I have not tasted before in a cigar and would actually say is strange. Not exactly great or would I go out of my way to get again. Very pricey and I have smoked much better. I would smoke again if given but would not waste my money on again. Good side it was very well made and nice to look at.

"Disappointed"
Normally smoke Cuban Cohiba's but saw this on CA's Top 25 list and thought it would be a nice change of pace and little less expensive and definitely easy to get. How it made #9 is beyond me. It was generally awful. Taste was strange, draw was hard, smoke was thin. The really bad news is that I four more of these.

"Kinda Pricey!!!"
Never again, but at least it was better than an Opus!!! It was a nice looking cigar that I bought with a little extra Christmas money I had. I had vowed never to try a Davidoff, but the Avo rep. I talked too a couple of weeks ago talked me into it. It had a very interesting full bodied core that was very similar, in my opinion, to a Montecristo Cigar de Art. I couldn’t really pick out the flavor because it was new to me. It had a little bit of spice to it also, but nothing overbearing. The burn was nice with very minor construction problems, and the draw was perfect. The smoke was thick and full of flavor. The ash was grey, stacked and sturdy. It got a little warm at the end so it had to be put out a little early, which is not a big deal when it comes to a two dollar cigar, but when it’s a fourteen dollar cigar that’s a different story. I would smoke one of these again if it was given to me, but there are definitely better cigars out there for the price.

"Another great Davidoff"
Bought in Davidoff own shop in Geneva. Draw seemed loose at first, but it went ok throughout the smoke. A first quarter light and slightly bitter, but the more I smoked the better it became, finishing full bodied, strong and flavorful, without forgetting to be extremely smooth. Almost two different cigars in one, luckily the best one was at the end....

"Worth a second try"
The first one I had horrible, poor construction, very loose and got very hot right away. After that being said, it still had good flavor so I couldn't just chuck it away.
The second one, I purchased at a different shop, was a completely different cigar! Great construction, nice easy draw, excellent tobacco. Didn't even get hot till the last 1" and i still couldn't put it down, I waiting till I was burning my fingers.
Nice creamy smoke, great flavor.
