"Awful"
Mine was so plugged, a skewer did not help it at all. Needless to say, I could not get hardly any smoke or flavor as a result and I did not finish it. I will say it looked great on the outside for what it's worth.

"Very nice"
This cigar demands attention. The flavor and the draw on this cigar was subtle enough I had to work for it a little bit. Boy did the work pay off. Very nice ad nutty.

"Terrible construction"
Sorry guys, but this was the worst ISOM that I have ever had. It was so tight that I could barely get any smoke and the wrapper ended up falling apart towards the last third of the cigar. But for the fact that I got this stick from a reputable dealer, I would have thought it was a fake.

"Awesome"
Smoked one from 03 tonight, my first Cuban LGC. Although a bit tight on the draw, it burned perfectly, and was medium bodied and smooth. A nutty profile with hints of cashew and macadamia, and it lasted forever.

"I'm not quite as impressed"
Box from 5/01. Nicely rolled, they all look and smell great. The draw and burn on the 2 that I have had so far were perfect - these were made in the Partagas factory. Flavors had the definate Cuban twang, and were on the mild-medium side of the street.

"Sweet and strong"
A great combination of flavor and finish, these cigars are some of the best Churchills out there. I love the box of 10 and the value is reasonable for the fan-freaking-tastic taste!

"Wow"
Must try this if you can find it. I had a Claro. It is unique and very consistent throughout.

"Collector's Item"
This was just a "regular", not edicion limitada cigar, but what a cigar! I agree 100% with Navy Seal 81 and Rasputin, this is a gem.
They gave very good description to this cigar and I have nothing to add, other than it has a very unique flavor not reminisent to any known brand and if by any good luck you still can buy them do it. They are not being made any longer. What a shame. In the World of Cigars, Cuba is the King!

"A CLASSIC"
A CLASSIC THEY WILL BE SOON. HABANOS S.A. STATES THAT THEY WILL BE DISCONTINUE THIS CIGAR IN THE NEAR FUTURE, WHAT A SHAME IT IS. C.A. RATED IT RECENTLY A 90 ABOVE BOLIVAR GIG. AND THE FAMED R&J CHURCHILL. I TOTALLY AGREE WITH "RASPUTINS"(a very good critic of cubans) COMMENTS OF THIS GREAT CIGAR. ALTHOUGH MY CIGAR WAS A CLARO WRAPPER VS MADURO IT HAD ALL THE SAME QUALITIES THAT I EVEN BOUGHT 3 MORE BOXES. THE HIGHEST RECOMMENDATION TO TEST THIS BEAUTY BEFORE THEY ARE GONE.

"Almost Classic"
La Gloria Cubana Tainos from the box of July 2000.
I have rarely seen Cuban cigars with such dark Maduro (almost black) wrapper. Beautiful, dark chocolate wrapper with bittersweet smell. It looks and smells so good you may want to eat it. Very firmly constructed cigar that is just enjoyable to roll between your fingers. In spite of the firmness of constriction, had a perfect draw, not too loose and not too tight, just right. Constriction and appearance beat my favorite R&J Churchills so far, go figure…
When they (Cubans) make them good, they are GOOD!
Very strong character, with lots of sweet spice that keeps building up throughout smoking.
I tasted some coffee beans, but my smoking buddy said he had some coco-bitter chocolate in his.
As taste is a matter of subjectivity and perception, one thing is for sure, this is one of the best cigars I have smoked in the last few months and it well deserves its rank among the Best Cigars in the World. I believe, that this particular batch of GC Tainos deserves to be called “Almost a Classic”. Had I known back then while buying, would have bought at least a few more boxes.
