"Good cigar"
This was sweet, and somewhat fruity. I would buy another one. I loved the large ring gauge. They are presented nicely b/c they are cedar wrapped.

"Wonderful Smoke"
I like belicosos and the ring on this cigar. It has a midly sweet, spicy and a beautiful rosado wrapper. I usually like shorter cigars including the sun grown chateau fuente but I really enjoyed this cigar.

"Sungrown does it for me..."
Fine flavor and construction. I like every one of the Sungrown Fuentes I've tried; Chateau, King B, Cuban Belicoso. The sweet, slightly earthy flavor and aroma are satisfying. Fine cigar.

"Average At Best"
New box- seemed a little green. Typical one dimensional cigar- lots of smoke excellent burn. Teeny hints of wood. It needs to mature for 2 or three years. Its a 'you get what you pay for cigar'

"one of the best"
Half way through I looked at this cigar and thought it doesn't get much better than this. Excellent taste, aroma, burn. Strong in flavor and ash. Very highly recommended.

"Nicely played"
Somewhat larger than is typical of my recent selections, this offering was satisfyingly complex, moderately strong, and reminded me, quite favorably. of the Sun Grown Cuban Belicoso. The dark, beautiful wrapper lent a delightful counterpoint to the spicy overtones. A pleasant way to spend 1 1/2 hours.

"Mildly Disappointing"
The draw is excellent and the burn was even all the way to the band. It starts up with a delicate and woody aroma that lingers for the duration of the cigar. At first it doesn’t seem quite as strong as the aroma of the rothschild Sungrown, but the King B takes a while to warm up. The intial flavor is unremarkable — mild straightforward tobacco, pleasant but nondescript. About half way through the cigar it becomes a little more flavorful, slightly tannic, with very little aftertaste. The smoke is medium in body and has a pretty good nicotine kick, but so far is lacking the flavor to match. At the two thirds point, the spice and pepper that I expected (based on the other sizes in the Chateau series) finally kicked in. It’s not what I would call complex, but it’s a little more than the simple nutty Dominican tobacco flavor I was getting up to that point. I was mildly disappointed in this cigar. I really enjoy the rothschild size in this line and I was expecting something along those lines but BIGGER. Instead what I found was a slow starter with a similar but flatter flavor profile.

"Best Fuente so far"
When I saw that the Chateau series uses Ecuador, not Cameroon wrapper which I don't like, I just knew I had to try this one. Appearance and construction are top notch. It starts off a little spicy and shortly afterwards the nuttiness takes over through the end of the cigar. Medium bodied. Quite easily the best Fuente I have had in a long time, probably ever.

"If anything, extra age hurt this one"
After roughly a year in the humi, the flavor remains roughly average. Woody with some coffee notes, but it also borders on getting tarry if you aren't careful. Build and appearance are certainly high points here. I was hoping a lie down would bring out a little more complexity, but no such luck. Not a bad smoke, but there's no wow factor either.

Smooth draw. Excellent notes and a very unique flavor. A little bit over priced. An excellent idea to age it before smoking it.

"King B bad to smoke in windy weather."
I agree. Flavor was great and was different than my most favs as The sweet woodsy was throughout. Not complex, but good. The construction had burn issues and did canoe quite often. Didn't affect the flavor, but will wait until I smoke one that has had humi time before I purchase more.

"A little dissapointed"
The King B name has more to do with the size then it does with the taste. A rather bland cigar overall. It is well constructed but certainly not in the class of a Anejo, Flora Fina or even a Curly Head Deluxe.

"solid across the board"
Nice looking stick. Very dark wrapper with a couple of thin veins. A sweet woodiness dominates throughout, with some pepper coming in at the end. A little stronger than anticipated. Slightly charry in the last third, but not distractingly so. Not a standout in any one category, but a solid smoke at a fair price point.

"Lousy"
This cigar looked great and smelled nice, but it tasted pretty bad. It had strong flavors of cedar and licorice and a strange undertone of something like diesel fuel. I smoked it about two-thirds of the way through hoping it would improve, but it never did. After it died for the fourth or fifth time, I got sick of the flavor and tired of relighting it, so I tossed it. I was highly disappointed.

"No More Age Needed"
I'd heard from my tobbacconist that the earlier release this year needed some age as the other posters are saying, also I could taste that myself earlier this year. But the recent release is excellent. There is no aging needed. It drips, almost literally, with oils. Stronger, more complex, and burning better than any other release I've had of this cigar. GET ONE NOW! Has flavor and quality that almost rivals Opus X sticks for much less cash.

"needs age"
I picked one of these up at Straus, where they had a new box open. Smooth, silky wrapper and firm draw, but the burn was off; canoed pretty badly and smoked very hot in the last third. Taste was pleasant but muted and one dimensional. This cigar needs humidor time.

"Lucky score"
This cigar was a holiday season 2005 release from fuente and I was lucky enough to pick up 5 at my local tobacconist.I have only smoked one and it definitely needs some time to rest.Had some burn problems due to it's youth but it gave off big billows of gray blue smoke with a smooth nutty Chateau taste.Wont try another till next holiday season.

"Creamy, sweet and smooth."
Was extremely fortunate to have scored a box right before the Xmas...waited approx. 3 weeks before trying one....beautiful shade wrapper...silky to the touch. First draws revealed a smooth, slightly sweet taste..decent amount of smoke , producing a straight white ash..only needed a couple lighting corrections early on, but otherwise burned evenly. I waited too long to do this review, but I recall the flavors put me in that sort of contemplative state of mind that a good cuban puro will do (I'm NOT saying that the King B tasted similar to a cuban)...not terribly complex at this point, but had a moderate creamy richness to it.Lasted approx 80 minutes..overall very nice for a young cigar. Will sample about one or two a year.
