"good Cigar"
I've heard good things about this cigar so I tried it! It was good, stronger than expected good favor, a smaller ring than I normally smoke. But it was good. It surprised me. not that pretty but good taste and strenght, it burned well also.

With some minor variations in wrapper color, these sticks a good everyday cigar and a very good value.

"Good $%&#"
Love these although I have so many friggin cigars I don't get to 'em nearly enough. Not stellar construction (little lumpy) wrappers are not flawless by any means either, but! the draw is consistent and that all important aspect...taste! Nice cedary core thanks to the box aging and I love the black licorice notes in the middle third. Great buy for any maduro fan.

"Fuente Flagship"
This lighter shade Maduro wrapper is attractive with a nice pre-light smell. Great construction and nice even burn through the whole stick. The woodsy taste has hints of nuts and spice. A medium light body with a nice mild aftertaste. Another stick that truly defines what a mild cigar should taste like. If you like mild cigars, try one of these, your expectations will be higher when you smoke another mild stick.

"Great cigar"
I really enjoyed this smoke. Very rich, slightly sweet. Lots of smoke and a great draw. Only detractor was the wrapper; had a couple of big veins and a small hole near the cap. Did not affect the performance at all. Never hot or bitter.

"Go to smoke"
These have never failed me. Solid, consistent, tasty, even burn, never harsh or biting. I love that I can grab one from a smoke shop and be 99% assured that it'll taste as god as teh last one I had. I should do a power buy on these since they're around then gone quickly.

"Get what you pay for"
Great smoke much better than the natural 8-5-8. I am a stickler for maduros, but this is on the milder side of the maduros. It has no fancy band and the construction is average ( this is probably how they keep the price down) but it smokes like a champ and i prefer it over the hemmingways anyday. it has a very rich expresso taste with a few hints a sweetness in the aftertaste. This is a no b/s cigar you get what you pay for. overall not the beat but very far from the worst. It is on the yop end of my list of favorites.

"Measures up nicely."
I'ts billed as Med- Full. I'd say Mild-Medium, but with plenty of woody, chocolaty features. Keep these in the humi for 6- a year to add a nice peppery finish. This to be my go-to stog but now i seemingly buy fuller smokes. A perfect measuring stick for this price range.Sweet, smooth, and enjoyable for all occasions.

"Pleasant Surprise"
I didn't like the 8-5-8 with the Cameroon wrapper, as much as I liked the Maduro version, which was sweeter and more flavorful. The ash held very well, and the burn and draw were great. I think the value you get in terms of the cigars size and flavors are a great deal as far as the price goes. I am fan of the Sun Growns, but this cigar was definitely a pleasant surprise.

"Overall Excellent"
Picked one of these up at Poor Richards in Station Square in Pittsburgh, PA. Bought a A. Fuente Churchill, smoked that, it was terrible. Smoked a Cheatue Fuente King B, a little better but not as this beast. This cigar was fantastic, very good, tight draw(which I prefer), wonderful, full flavor with a lot of billowing smoke.Very dark, oily maduro wrapper which was amazingly well constructed .For the price of about 100/box at Poor Richards, I will definately be picking one of these up.

My favorite of the regular Fuente line. The 858's are smooth with floral accents and the maduro wrapper provides a sweet taste to the lips. Wonderful burn and draw. Flawless construction. Leaves you wanting more.

"Guess the last one was a fluke"
I had one of these a few months ago and have had several since that were much better. Nice lightly sweet maduro flavor, construction was always better and burn/ash was nice. Still not an overly great stick but nice for every once in a while

"One of my favorites"
Smoked this stogie late last night after bowling and I must say it is one of my faves. Great taste from the start to the finish and beautiful dark wrapper. Little bit of an uneven burn, but i just love the flavor and price. I am buying a box.

"Full Body for a Fuente??"
Most of the Fuente I have smoked had that familiar floral spice. This had that at times , just not a zingy as the regular wrapper smokes. This had hints of nuts and espresso at times. But the spice was there also all the way. This would be a very good every day smoke. I was pleasantly surprised. took over 1 hour to smoke. Wrapper was salty to the lips. And the wrapper was very well applied. Overall , just a plain good smoke!!!!

"A Classic!"
I love this cigar! One of the first Fuentes I tried, and it really turned me on to the entire line. Great medium maduro flavor, good construction and burn. Smooth, consistent smoke with nice leather, nut and mocha flavors that intermingly nicely. I agree with another reviewer who said he prefers this to the much pricier smokes in the Fuente line. This is one of their best and an exceptional value in the "regular" Fuente line.

"Me likey...!"
This to me is the baseline on what a mild to medium bodied cigar should taste like. Milder, yet flavorful with distictive leathery and cedar flavors and slightly earthy overtones. A very good stick. Great draw, perfect burn. Excellent value.

"Maduro standard"
Just an excellent cigar! If you are a fan of maduros you can't go wrong with these babies. In fact, this is my go to cigar - great value in a great smoke. Smooth rich maduro flavor with the classic Fuente taste. I much prefer this smoke to some of the higher end and much pricier cigars in the Fuente line.

"My new go-to smoke?"
This was my first Fuente, and it was really good! Nice construction, really straight and effortless burn. Produced loads of tasty smoke that remained smooth to the end. I normally don't nub my cigars, but this one got smoked til my fingers got warm... it was smoother and a bit milder than the Saint Luis Rey Rothchilde's that I've been smoking lately.

"A solid everyday go-to cigar"
A great everyday go-to cigar. The first third was a bit nutty with hints of coffee, but mostly just good tabacco taste. Coming into the second third through the rest of the smoke it (or my palate) just evened out into a good tabacco taste. Ash held well but not particularly attractive. Construction was good. Draw was nice. I never hesitate to pick up an 858.

"I will buy more"
This stick was a little smaller than my usual smoke, but I wanted to try it anyway. I was not disappointed. The construction was very good, with an easy draw and a good burn. The taste was spicey (which is what i like) and the finish is long lasting. For a $3.00 stick this one is a sure winner.

"Very Good"
When I went to the local cigar shop, they were sold out of hemingways. Picked up one of these instead, and it did not disappoint. Smooth flavor. Starts nutty, and moves to a creamy mocha taste. This cigar isn't just good for its price, it's good period. If you like Hemingways, and who doesn't, these are pretty good. Lacks the little bit of sweetness that puts the Hemingway up there with the best.
Smoked this thing going down the highway with the windows open at 70 mph and stuck it outside to ash it a few times. Wrapper held up with that abuse just fine too.

"Good start"
The way to start a weekend, a long week of work ending with this dark beauty. A beautiful afternoon on the porch with wifey and this nicely constructed stick. Sweet maduro wrapper that puts out a generous amount of smoke with some spice that tickles the sinus a bit. Excellent draw with just minor touch ups on burn. A little harsh toward the end but nothing a little time in the humidor won't cure. Overall a very good smoke that I'll keep on hand.

"Highly Recommended"
Prefer the maduro over the natural version. One advice, let it sit in the humi for at least 6 mos. or longer. For some reason it helped correct some of the burning problems this cigar is known to have. To me, this cigar improves w/ age. Great mild to medium smoke w/ pleasant taste.

"Great way to spend an hour"
This is a well constructed stogie. Generous amounts of thick smoke that is smooth and creamy. Excellent draw with a punch type cutter. Do not engage with this one unless you have the time, long smoke and a slow burn. Well built even draw and construction throughout. Consistent flavor for the duration. A little spendy for this cigar but overall a nice enjoyable leisurely smoke.

I just finished my first one of this series in maddie and found it to be a very nice smoke. Not to strong and not to light, just right for a nice afternoon smoke. "A solid smoke"
This cigar is my preferred size, and I also like maduros. I found the 8-5-8 to be a very satisfying smoke, with some nice coffee flavor developing and staying throughout most of the length. Nice draw and burn, with a smooth, medium-full flavor; I smoked itdown to the nub. If it was a bit less expensive I'd go for a box. I think I'll try a few more, and if future experiences are equally good, I might pop for a whole box.
