"good, pricey"
I agree with much that has been said about these. Acid rolls a decent cigar most of the time. This is one of those, but the price tag on these is a few dollars too high to justify buying and ACID on a regular basis. This one had a chocolate taste that was evident, the aroma was not so perfume like as other offerings, which is good.
Ok to try once, but nothing you will want a box of.

"very nice"
I don't like the gimmicky stuff but Acid doesn't make a bad cigar in the line. Mostly because Drew Estates uses decent filler in all of them. This is no exception decent taste start to finish. Good burn and construction. Nice aroma as always. No great changes in taste which made fairly one demensional but still good. at $5 in a tin from an auction not bad.

"Nothing too extraordinary"
This was the very first Acid Cigar that I tasted and after having read extensively about it, I must say that it didn't really impress me as I thought it would. Let's start with the positives, when you begin to smoke it, the aroma and soft, mild tobacco-rose taste is truely pleasant. The rose flavour doesn't overpower the tobacco and vice versa. If only this would've been the experience for the duration of the the cigar! About 1/3 into my smoke, it started turning bitter and getting a little (not too much) harsh. Having already done my homework on Larry I new that the taste slowly varies as the cigar nears. So, I kept on puffing trying to hear what Larry was trying to tell me. Towards the end of the hour, the tastes was still the same and it was time to discard that bad boy. I also had and issue with the construction seeing as there was a vein that ran from the foot to the head and about 10 minutes into my smoke I snapped a small piece at the head while rotating it in my mouth which in turn, ripped the wrapper! Nothing too hardcore mind you, but just something that happened. All in all, as far as a flavoured cigar goes, I personally don't think Larry would be my first choice, as say compared to 1400cc or a Blondie or even CAO Flavors.

"On a ledge."
I have to say I was quite disapointed with this one for the amount I paid for it. The draw of this monster was a killer. There wasn't as much flavor as I though it would have. Overall this lasted about 2 hours but I think that was because the draw was so tight. The aroma was good. At least that was told to me by some of my friends. In reality I wasn't smoking this for them, but for me and I don't think I will buy this one again.

"Not Extraordinary, but I approve"
The purple "juggernaut" line of Acids has been the most curious in the series. Whereas my experience with the yellows and blues have been mostly enjoyable and the reds, outright disappointing, the purple line are cigars I have to mull over to appreciate. Larry is no different. The C-Note was biting at first, but has grown to be one of my favorite cigarillos. And the Roam felt awkward to smoke initially, but I can see getting one from time to time. Larry and his enormous girth is similar to Roam's intimidating length, and takes a bit of getting used to, and like the Roam is a very understated flavor compared to most acids. But I'd go so far as to say Larry is a very nice standard cigar. The botanicals and spices are so light and insignificant in this monster that it's mostly just the tobacco you're appreciating-- and for that Larry does a pretty good job. He burned evenly all the way up until right before the end, lit very easily considering his size, was mild, pleasant tasting, and airy in a good way. I opted to cut it instead of use the tear away pigtail. The tail works well on Blondies, but I wanted the full circumference for a smoke this big and he cut very easily. All in all, I approve of everything exept how much space ol' Lar takes up in the humi.

"Mixed"
Bought a box on discount, but they're still expensive. After letting one set out opened for a couple of days and it mellowed out a bit in aroma, it finally came to me that this cigar smells like teakwood! Reviewers are a bit unfair with DE cigars, because their nitch in the market is supposed to be simply a change-of-pace. All DE cigars have complex flavor to enjoy, as does the Larry. I do not agree that DE cigars are "purfumed gimmicks", although here is a hint: the White Rabbit is pretty much the same as the Larry (maybe better) for less $ per stick. And by the way, the Larry's construction is just fine. Some people butcher the tip when they cut it.

"Great Taste - inconsistent construction"
All in all, very pleasant. However, some draw hard, burn uneven. I bought them online for a good deal so I was a little more forgiving that if I paid full price.

"I love the name..."
I was smoking one of these on the golf course and the starter came around and said, "Is that a Larry?" It has a fabulous smell in the humidor and while smoking, but it surprisingly mild. It is a nice change of pace, having a mild to medium feel with a bit of spice and floral flavor.

"Big Guns"
An overall moderate cigar. The size and taste were pleasent with bold hints of spice and herbs, however the construction was lacking. Draw was good, though the burn was not very consitant, nice at times, then a real pain. Overall I'd look through the box and try and find a better built stick.

"33 year old new smoker"
This cigar was recommended by a cigar shop customer that heard me mention I liked Excalibur Hoyo de Mont. and Macanudo Maduro. He said I would really enjoy this cigar but I found it to be just a perfumed gimmick. Good construction but low volume of smoke per draw and I paid $10 for this which could have gotten me 2 Excaliburs or Macanudos. There are so many good cigars I haven't tried I doubt if I will buy another one of these for a while.
