"Ugly Beauty"
Ugly lil' bugger, but tasty. Pulled a couple from an '05 box, and they could still use more time. They're tannic on the tongue even before lighting, but that mellows out after half an inch or so. The burn was erratic and the draw a tad tight, but the cigar is saved by a toasty, slightly peppery flavor that runs to leather toward the end. The finish is earthy and persistent. A really pleasant sweet caramel twang on the nose adds another dimension. Full bodied smoke texture, but only medium strength at most. The ash is a mess. Beastly appearance, iffy construction, but nice flavor overall.

"great hoyo"
Typical flavors for a Hoyo. Smoked two of my box so far, burn and construction were perfect. Starts off spicy and woody and develops into an earthy and leathery smoke. If you pay more that 7 to 8 USD you got ripped off. Overall a great Hoyo de Monterrey.

"Alright"
This cigar wasn't bad. It started off woody, then developed a creamy sweetness, and ended off earthy - which was kind of interesting, the transition in flavours, I mean. The burn wasn't the best, it tended to canoe every so often. The ash was dark grey and held for about 1 inch (if that matters to you). I woudln't consider this a GREAT cigar, only alright. There are much better smokes out there.

"So-so smoke..."
Nothing much to say about this smoke. It was decent...easy draw, ash didn't hold together to well, taste wasn't all there for me. An average smoke in my book, pleanty of other out there for the price which are 3x better.

"mild with flavor"
Only drawback I thought was a bit of a tight draw. Great flavor for a milder cigar. Would definitely buy and smoke again.

"An afternoon smoke"
Smoked 2002-10. Mild to medium with nice spiciness. Some complexity. An easy afternoon smoke.

"lightest Cuban I have ..."
This is the least full boddied Cuban I have ever smoked. Decent draw with a fairly even burn. Veiny wrapper and a sloppy cap. Dirty ash did not hold togother very well. Not a smoke that I will revisit again. Too many other out there to try.
