Quality smoke. Nice spicy burst from the first puff. Unusually smooth despite its provocative richness.

"A good one!"
Unlike the 898 I smoked in January, this one had a nice draw and burned well. Medium bodied with woody and nutty flavors, it stayed consistent to the finish. I don't like these as well as the Partagas version, but overall an excellent cigar.

"wonderful, but had to work it."
tight roll, had to kneed the foot a bit to open up the draw. woody with hints of spice and nutty flavors. smooth with no bite. Nic kick at final 2" was unexpected but not overwhelming.

"Plugged"
Unfortunately, this cigar was severly plugged. I had been waiting to try this one, but had little luck get any smoke as it was plugged half way up. Finally I cut about 3 inches off and got some of the good woody flavor, but damaged the wrapper badly in the process. I hope to try another one sometime and get a better rolled cigar.

"The very best dalia"
This is the BEST dalia made in Cuba. Rich and powerful but very balanced is the best way to describe these cigars. I have smoked dozens of them and have never been let down. Each one has been a perfect smoking experience. One should also note that these are no longer being made so don't hesitate to pick them up. They are dissapearing quickly.

"Kaboom"
I am still picking up pieces of my skull. This cigar blew my head off with it's extreme strength. The dry woody flavor carries a lot of spice.

"Sublime"
Smoked 2003-03. Typical RA medium reddish brown wrapper. Fine draw throughout but for some slight hesitation toward the final two inches. Even burn. An initial salvo of sweet macadamia nuts and gentle spice persists until the halway point when more intense wood and earth overtones enter the picture. A surprising counterpoint to the 'iron fist in velvet glove' style of RA's Specially Selected robusto. I'm looking forward to the next one!

"OK, I suppose"
This was a 1998 versionof the 898, and althought the flavor was light and clean, the cigar had problems staying lit. I have been seeingthis with more and more Cubans, I hope it isn't a sign of thingsto come.
