A spicy and tasty little stick even with a years age. Better smoke than all the Monty #4's I've tasted.

"Very good but.."
This cigar is very good. Its looks were not prize winning but the flavours were similar albeit milder than RASS.The wrapper is a bit veiny but oily with a nice cup, nice burn but i did encounter a couple hopelessly plugged that spoiled my overall impression of an otherwise fine petit corona (box date 2002) .

"Prefer the RASS"
This one had a bit of a draw issue, tight and not as much smoke as I would have liked. It was spicier than the RASS I have smoked, and not as complex.

"Little ISOM"
This cigar is smaller than what I prefer, but since it was a gift from a fellow CBID member, who am I to complain. The construction was great, it had a nice easy draw and the burn was sharp (until I received a phone call and was not paying close attention to the smoke). Although I can't decribe the flavor, it was very tastey, especially for a shorter smoke. For a quickie, I would go for this brand again.

"Pretty good"
There are pretty cigars that sometimes are a big tightly rolled. The flavors are quite nice put not spectacular. For a short smoke, though, this hits the spot pretty well but I'll stick with Petit Upmanns and Party Shorts.

"up and down"
The dark, tight wrapper is very nice. The first 1/3 of the cigar is a bit dissappointing. Straight ahead and one dimensional, with a little bit of a DR like sharpness. The last 2/3 is when the cigar opened up. Leathery and powerful. Draw was a bit tight and the construction was one of the best I've experienced with a Cuban. Overall, though, not really my thing.

"Quickie"
A great quick smoke with plenty of flavor and complexity for a little guy. Plenty of smoke and nice even burn. This is short smoke but not as quick as you would think, tightly packed.

"Dark and delicious"
This stick had a rough, leathery looking wrapper that was dark as baker’s chocolate and it had that beautiful Ramon Allones band cinched up tight. A slightly uneven roll with a few wrinkles surrounded a bunch of filler that was compact and dense. The triple cap was artfully applied. There was a noticeable heady barnyard aroma pre-light, and the overall impression was of a powerful serpent coiled to strike.

The dense roll made for a tight draw and the smoke was hard to pry free at first, but that didn’t seem to slow the assault. Great full flavor, zesty and aggressive took over immediately. A full bodied smoke full of peat and leather with a hint of iodine and some seaweed, this reminded me of a powerful lowland malt. The tight draw caused an interesting effect as smoke continued to stream up from the foot even during a long draw on the cigar. The finish was impressive and thorough. It nailed me with a lingering dose of aged cedar and Cuban depth.

Paired with a bottle of RH Phillips Viognier white this cigar came out swinging and easily overpowered the fruity wine. Halfway through the draw opened up and the smoke began to really flow increasing the volume and creating an impressive bright orange cherry and a diamond hard petrified ash. The aroma from the cigar was equally powerful and reminded me of an old girlfriend, pervasive and clingy.

Overall I was impressed by the power and the flavor that this little cigar delivered. It hit me head on with insistent in your face flavor and finish, and kept me very satisfied throughout the 45 minute experience. Not for the feint of heart it was spectacular in its intensity. Highly recommended.

"What an amazing little smoke"
What an amazingly complex smoke for such a small cigar. Modest clove like flavor with hints of black coffee and dark chocolate with a hot fleshy finish, ooops never mind, that was my fingers which were burning. This cigar is a knuckler!

"What a cigar ought to be"
I have now smoked 4 of these little cigars from MAY02. Each has been better than the last. They are full bodied and flavored with that characteristic Cuban twang. The give a great nicotine buzz, and each puff profides different complexities and nuances. A fabulous little cigar when time is short or the weather is bad!
