Great cigar. Nice box pressed, great construction and smothe wraper. Even burn and good draw. Medium to full body smoke. Rich with flavors, some spice, with flavors of sweet chocolate and coffee. My favorate cigar to date. Worth every penny.

The Padron Exclusivo is one of my stalwarts...always a great cigar. If I had to dig for a problem, it does not seem like they benefit from age. I have some older boxes that seem to have lost something.

"This one wins"
There was room in the humidor for another box to age. To decide I pulled out one these and a 2 1/2 year old Montecristo Edmundo and smoked one after lunch and the other after dinner. The Padron won with the most consistant taste and best burn start to finish.

After resting for 18 months these can't be beat for the price. Starts a little slow, quickly builds to a full nutty taste. Just keeps getting better till it's to hot on your fingers.

"Simply Awesome"
A friend gave me one of these from his stash, and boy was I thankful. While away at a shooting competition that I had a very successful performance I treated myself that evening by lighting this one up. From start to finish what a great cigar. Pre-light aroma was the same as all the 64's I have enjoyed. Burn was even, draw was smooth and taste was superb. You just can't go wrong with the Padron 1964's.

"Now I see what all the fuss is about"
I smoked this last night as a treat. It had been sitting in the humi for well over a year, and was the first 1964 I've smoked. The burn was perfect, and it had a great, nutty, medium bodied flavor. It was a little ugly, to be perfectly honest. A bit veiny, it looked like it was about to come unraveled in certain spots, and didn't have the lively, oily wrapper that the maduros I have possess. Anything this cigar lacks in appearance, however, is more than made up in flavor and construction. I highly recommend this as a special occasion smoke.

"Good but other 64s are better"
This cigar sat for at least a year or two before I finally found a good day to try it. Unfortunately age wasn't too kind to it, even stored with a bunch of other Padrons, Trinidads, Gurkhas, etc. It started out toasty with a medium+ body but the first half was overburdened with nicaraguan earthiness and a bit dry (in a champagne way). The second half was a lot better with a leathery warm tobacco tone and vastly improved balance. Moral of the story, don't let them sit for too long!

"Not bad"
Great construction on these 64s. Burn is even, with long ash. Looks beautiful. Taste is strong expresso but not as complex as you would hope for in a premium stogie. Some spice in beginning and then mostly expresso and then in the last third actually gets smooth. Would try another but not a favorite at the moment.

"6 months of to prefection"
I don't know what it is about the 6th month mark on these but that is all it takes to age these. They are great out the box but give them a little age and it's amazing. Great flavors, constuction, and draw.

"silky smooth"

"Top Tier"
As I look at the rating system here, I cannot say that this is even in the top 25 cigars I have tried, but I can say that it is top tier based upon the flavor and construction. I would not buy it for this price though (an I did not, I got mine for 5 bucks).

"My first"
This was my first cigar other than a swisher. My buddy gave it to me to break me away from lesser cigars. I have to say I liked it, but it was a bit overhyped. I just don't think I am ready for the strange flavors that were in this cigar. That said, it looked nice and it must have a good reputation for some reason.

"Perfection"
OK when the owner of the company with a zillion years experience hand selects the leaf and the best roller in the factory rolls the cigar then they are aged to perfetion it is just the beginning of a great cigar. Any others that would spend the time would charge twice the price.

"I can buy a box of..."
Fill in the blank there. The price on these tainted my view of them. I like the feel and burn here, but I did not get what was the big deal about the flavor and aroma. I can say I had one now....ok...never again unless they come down to 3 bucks a stick...so, never again I guess.

"Consistently great"
As with all of the 1964s this is a really good cigar. It starts out toasty with nicaraguan earth overtones, adds a bit of leathery bits in the middle and stays clean and tasty to the nub. Impeccable burn and smoothness. I personally prefer the 1926 No. 35 Natural, and since they are at a similar price it's a no brainer.

"It just comes down to personal taste"
I am a Padron fan, however, I don't see how to justify paying $10 for this cigar. It is not that much better than a Padron 2000 for instance.
Yes the flavor is good, the smoke is nice, but it comes down to your personal taste.
In my opinion there are not that many cigars in the world that justifies paying over 7 o 8 dollars for it.
Cigars are a wonderful tradition but they are becoming like sport stars, just outrageosly over priced. There is not that much money invloved in the production of a single cigar. The only reason for this high price is supply and demand.

"Refined by Not Special"
A well made cigar with consistant burn. Well balanced with a cocoa bean aroma. Cigar faded midway and showed a lack of finesse. I know these are very popular with smokers and folks who describe cigar flavor like they are food critics. I think you could pay less for a good Nicaraguan with more complexity.

"Exquisite"
Just finished one as a gift to myself. A smooth, creamy, just about perfect smoke. The wrapper was a gorgeous carmel brown, it burned evenly all the way down, its draw was a masterpiece, and was one of the most well-constructed, flavorful cigars I've ever experienced. The Exclusivo was well worth hunting down and adding to my humidor.

"Good...but not mind blowing."
With all the hype and chatter about these Padrons, I guess my expectations were built a little too high. Mine had a split in the wrapper near the foot, and it burnt uneven most of the time. It was beautiful to look at, with the milk chocolaty looking wrapper and that fat box-press shape. I expected the flavor to be absolutely heavenly, but turned out to be quite Earthy. Draw was a little firm, even via bulls-eye punch. The ash was dark and skimpy looking, but managed to cling on for 1.5". There were some notes of chocolate and some nuttiness. Sweet spices at times. Finish was pretty long. Don't get me wrong, this is a great quality cigar, i've just had better IMHO...both cuban and non-cuban, some of them at half the price of this. I'd certainly take the Opus X over this any day.

"What a cigar could be"
If you ever wondered what a cigar experience could be, you'll need to try one of these. There's only a handfull of cigars that could perfectly define it and this is definitely one of them. I don't like to compare non-Cuban's to Cubans because they are so different but the 64 is definitely one of the best on any scale.

"lucky man"
My wife bought me one of these for my b-day. What can I say...the only thing better than this cigar is my wife. Gotta love a woman who goes out of her way to track down one of these Padron's. Now, as for the smoke...well, it was absolutely wonderful. Probably the smoothest cigar I've ever had--the best balance of flavor and sheer satin finish, billows of smoke, and subtly complex flavors throughout. Every draw was heaven--toasty, sometimes sort of chocolaty (very subtle), and ever so earthy. Hard to explain the flavors but the creamy smoothness was unbelievable. Never got sweet--just a great medium nutty type smoke. If I could afford these every day I'd likely forget most other cigars. Bottom line--a great way to start another year on this planet.

"(As usual) Another great Anniversary"
A pressed cigar with a bit of a rough feel to it. The draws is lush, but it burns slightly unevenly. Medium-bodied with complex flavors including bitter dark chocolate and cedar. Has a long, peppery finish. Rated 94 by Cigar Insider; not quite that good but still an excellent, albeit pricey, smoke.

This cigar has a beautiful looking silky wrapper. Contruction is top notch and the cigar burns evenly and slowly. It is medium to full bodied and it tastes great with hints of coffee, chocolate & nuts. Normally I prefer large sized cigars but I would happily smoke these on a regular basis. Superior cigar.

This is a beautiful cigar, though I am a sucker for a trunk pressed one. I love being able to set it down without it rolling away! Very flavorful with an even burn with pure white ash. A little hard on the draw, but not excessive. This is one of the best tasting cigars I have ever smoked.

I've read so much about this 'gar on the net, so I had to try it. The flawless construction and easy draw just wasn't enough for me--where was the flavor? I recently had a Part. Familia (Span. Ros.) and it had a lot more flavor than this cigar--at less than 1/2 the price.

"Decent"
I wasn't blown away by Exclusivo #443779, but it was good. Construction is good with very light veins, though there was a rather think stem near the cap on mine. Cap came off nicely, but the wrapper started to unravel just a little. Draw is close to perfect, and the cigar felt nice and tightly wrapped in my fingers. Burned about 1 1/2 - 2" before the ash fell off. Burn was slightly uneven but nothing to worry about. Taste was a little too complex for me to describe... woody, spicy, sweet, a tiny bit of that volatile leather aroma/taste. Smooth. It became too hot and unplesant to smoke with about 2 1/2 inches left. Good, but not an amazing value. I'd rather spend the money on a Trinidad (DR) Corona. Much more of the cedar and spice that I like in the Trinidad.

"BOO YA"
If the Exclusivo Maduro is like a cup of rich cocoa, the Exclusivo Natural is like turkish coffee. I couldn't believe the strength differential between the two cigars -- I am a maduro man, but the Anniversario Naturals are under-rated. Extremely powerful, but not harsh, a world class cigar. Do not smoke while operating heavy machinery.
