Perfect for a quick smoke, very flavorful.....a little pricey and hard to find. Got the last box from an online retailer for $168.

The tastiest cigar i've ever smoked, that includes any other manufacturer or size. Every one I tasted was as good as the first. These are getting very expensive, but well worth the money. A++++++

A great smoke, but at 4 3/4 inches its too short. But Anniversario Series are harder that Cubans to find so I took what I could get. And a little pricie for a short cigar.

"Impressed"
Smoked my first one today after trying other sizes. Impressive construction, nice wrapper. Lit easily. No burn issues. Very nice unique Padron anniversary flavors similar to other sizes. Smoked this one to the nub! Well worth the money.

I first smoked a PSD4 then lit this one up. Absolutely amazing. Anyone who rates this lower then an 8 needs to find another passion.

"Great cigar for the car ride to work"
It has all the other Padron 1964 have to offer in a quicker smoke. This is a cigar I have a few boxes of being I will go smoke at least one on the way to work or on the way home. They are creamy and doesnt burn hot. Do not miss this cigar. I have smoked 1000's of these and never had a bad one yet.

"Hard to Beat"
Have been looking for many years to find something less expensive that compares to this particular smoke in terms of the small size, without sacrificing rich, balanced flavor, and overall quality. No luck. If you have the bucks and the time, the Imperial is unbeatable. But for an exceptional 35 minute smoke at substantially less cost (more in line with an everyday smoke price), it's baby brother here blows away all comers - Cuban or otherwise. I'll keep searching for a small smoke that beats this one, but in the mean time my money is on this flyweight.

"Still Great"
Although these are too short IMHO to get any decent flavor for a Maduro, it still is a great little smoke, pricey for size, but then again it's a PADRON! Nice and smooth, even burn, but I think I still prefer the natural in the principe size a little more.

"My new favorite short smoke"
I often don't have time to spend with a 1-2 hour cigar, so I began searching for shorter smokes that still had the taste and construction that I like. After trying two of the Maduro Principes, I feel like I have finally found what I was looking for. So many shorter length cigars seem to lack smooth, but full, flavor. Not so with this stick! The first half inch hit me with a blast of pepper that had me wondering if I was going to be able to finish the cigar. It quickly calmed down to offer some spice, but with a very tasty hint of coffee. About halfway, the smoke began to have some subtle changes that increased as I continued on to the last third of the stick. By the end, I was most impressed that I remained interested in the cigar all the way through. It is that ability to retain my interest that made me decide to buy a box yesterday. The appearance and construction are first rate, with a very nice burn from beginning to end. My summary words would be "captivating and very enjoyable from beginning to end"!

"Nicaragua's finest"
I would affirm everything the reviewer below me has said. The flavor is absolutely cocoa/coffee/leather, and at the rate i smoke, definitely lasts more than an hour, so in this respect it is a good value. Just as a package, a full bodied box-pressed petite corona, is something i am enfatuated with and such cigars are difficult to come buy in the American cigar market. The draw was a bit tighter than i remember for Padrons, so maybe I would let them dry abit if you smoke in a humid climate. The smoke of Padron 1964 is uniquely soft and produces an incredibly pleasant bouquet. I would note lastly that these may only be appreciated by a seasoned smoker; if you have been smoking dominicans you will find these too peppery or harsh and will not be able to appreciate their flavor an bouquet, so work up to them accordingly.

"Padron=Consistancy"
After having smoked countless #'s of 64's, I decided to review this line. I picked the Principe because it is all I have time to burn anymore. I feel those who do not appreciate this line do not fully understand NIC leaf and NIC puros. NIC tobacco yields one of two flavors, dependent on where it is grown: pepper, like the JDN Antano, or cocoa/coffee/leather, like the Padron. It has a tendency to be one dimensional, but extremely consistent and pronounced in it's flavor. If you are looking for changes during the burn in flavor, look toward multi-nation blends. If you are looking for great construction, draw, burn, and that cocoa/coffee/leather/hazelnut profile, and a smoothness that can only be achieved through aged leaf, look no further. As for the price, I agree that hype has hurt the pricing, but what top tier stick has not been hurt by hype? This petit corona, though, burns much longer then many would expect. They burn on an average from 35 minutes herfing, to 1 hour and 15 minutes relaxed, as a result of the press. So you do not feel as bad about the price as a stick that would be gone in 20 minutes.

"Nice little smoke"
I prefer the larger cigars in this line. That being said if the price is right its a great cigar. Doesn't seem to be as complex as the larger smokes in this line but still a nice smoke. The 64's are my favorite Anni's. Coffee and chocolate, quite earthy, burn and draw exceptional. Have smoked quite a few of these over the years and have never been left down. Padron consistancy is difficult to beat.

"OK"
this is a decent cigar, but I'm sorry folks I don't see where all the amazing reviews come from. I am not a big fan of the regular Padron lines and I figured the 1964 wouldn't be a lot different and it isn't. The thing about Padrons is that they pretty much taste like coffee--now that's great if you like coffee, but if you don't like me, then you probably won't like them too much.
Given all that this is still a solid cigar--medium to full bodied, has nice coffee tastes and some cedar and leather to it. It had virtually no pre-light bouquet which is always a bad sign though, however there is still some decent flavor. Wrapper is uneventful and nothing to remember it by. I'm not a big fan of box-pressed cigars, they feel awkward in your mouth (the mouth is round, not sqaure).
Flavor pretty much peters out after about 1/2 way down. Burn and construction are great though. It was stored fine so I don't think there's any issues there that might have marred my opinions.
I'm sorry to say it but this cigar is in my opinion not worth anywhere near what it goes for; there's a lot better out there for less. I'd smoke an LFD anyday over this. Actually there's maybe 30 other brands I'd rather smoke before this. Going to try the 1926 soon so we'll see on that one...
Still a decent cigar though. Just not interesting enough for me to buy again.

"Perfectly Time Perfection"
Absolute nobody comes close to the over all satisfaction of the Padron 1964 product. I do not get these guys winning about the extra cost when it comes through in the product quality. This is the best of the best period. Thirty minutes to enjoy perfectly boxed pressed construction, a flawless wrapper, draw and flavor at it’s very finest. This one is not for you Swisher Sweets boys …

"Delicious!"
A real treat! This attractive box-pressed stick is robed in a luscious maduro wrapper with virtually imperceptible veins. Solid construction without soft spots. Easy light. Smooth draw. Even burn without the need for relights or corrections. White-gray ash. Started with pepper and spice. The first third had a more milder, smoother pepper/spice beginning, along with notes of charred game, cocoa, and cedar. The middle third brought flavors of chocolate and wood. In the last third, I detected cinammon, toffee, nuts, sweet wood, and a mild menthol flavor towards the end. All in all, this 40 minute medium-to-full bodied smoke was delightfully complex and was a true pleasure to smoke. I am continually impressed by the Padron Anniversary lines, and believe that these are sticks that, indeed, are worth the hype and the money.

"Perfect Size great taste"
On a trip to Miami today I decided to stop by Padrons world headquarters. As the 1964's are hard to find in my hometown I decided to pick up a box of these as they are one of the sizes I haven't tasted. As soon as I was outside I lit one up. The construction on this is great as with all the smokes in this line. Nice dark oily wrapper. The scent is of coffee and coco. The burn is very even with a nice white ash and a bit of a toothy look. The taste is spicy at first with a bit of a pepperish taste, slowly maturing into a dark chocolate with hint of coffee until picking up a spicy taste towards the end. The size of this cigar doesn't lend itself to a long finish but still was great. I was lucky enough to find a box of these for cheap so I am looking forward to letting some age and see what comes out.

"Another fine 1964"
Although I prefer the Monarca Maduro more, this was a very good and somewhat less expensive smoke. It had a pretty strong toasty start, and mellowed to a medium cocoa tone with alternating earthy and slight maduro flavors with a few hard hits of good spice. I think I actually did burn my normally immune fingertips with this one. At $7.25 from my local Padron aficionado store it's a pretty good deal.

"Great, just like all the cigars in this line"
Nicely pressed and rich in color, this is an attractive small cigar. It burns evenly and the draw is excellent, producing lots of aromatic smoke. Has smooth, balanced, and complex flavors of dark chocolate, nuts and spice; compared to the natural version this one is more chocolatey and has a chewier taste. The finish is still a bit short though compared to the bigger sizes. Sure, it may cost 2X as much as other cigars, but it's more than 2X better. The cigars in this line are famous for their consistency, and this one is no exception.

"simply elegent"
If given a choice, I generally prefer a maduro over the standard lines of any cigar, and the Principe maduro has reaffirmed my taste. I thoroughly enjoyed the standard Principe, but the maduro version steps this superb cigar up a notch. From the beautiful box pressed construction, and the suede wrapper, to the draw and flavor, this stick redefines the concept of a good cigar. They’re pricy, and a bit hard to find, but what a treat when you do. The refined character and subtle nuances lead this cigar gracefully into the top tier of all time best cigars. The Principe M is well behaved, and the flavors were balanced and elegant. Because of the price, these will never be a staple in my humi, but I’ll always keep a few on hand to look forward to.

"Worth 6 bucks."
Unfortunately, I paid $8.50 for this one and I think that's too much. Plenty of barnyard and earth in this one. Unlike other 1964's I've had, this one left a little burn in my throat. All in all, a spicy little treat, but overpriced for sure.

"Great little smoke ... but...."
Beautiful cigar, the extreme press really make it stand out from the pack. Draw and burn were excellent. I liked the flavors for a Nicaraguan, although the larger smokes seem much more complex. My problem is the price. Pushing 10 bucks at my local shop (even with low tax in VA). Thats just ridiculous.

"Good but disappointing"
While this was a very good, full bodied and spicy cigar, I found it to get very harsh about halfway through. I paid a ridiculous amount for it ($13) which compounded my disappointment. I don't understand all the hype, but remain a fan of Padron cigars.

"One of my favorites"
I have never gone wrong with this one. Always consistant from cigar to cigar. Perfect draw and burn with plenty of smoke and flavor. Only thing bad is the price and availabiltiy. Don't think the extra charge for the maduro from the natural is worth it. A great smoke though.

Tight draw--had to work too hard on it. It was smooth, rich, and satisfying--bit spicy but not overpowering. But for the price, I'll stick with the Delicias. Not much of an advantage for being an Anniversary.

"Small Cigar, Big Flavor"
For a smaller cigar the PAM Principe really stands up to its larger brothers in the Padron Anniversary Line. The flavor was wonderful with rich chocolaty-woodsy tones to it. If you are looking for a great cigar for when you only have 20 minutes or so definately give this one a try.

This little cigar smokes bigger than its size. It's full bodied without any harshness. Just enough spice to make it interesting and it burns almost perfectly. If it were not box pressed it might get a 10 from me.

"incredibly smooth"
Another masterpiece by the Padrons. Although this is a short, quick cigar, it will satisfy your strongest cravings, or even make you crave more. The burn was perfect, the ash was white, and the flavor was incredibly smooth and creamy. From beginning to end, the Principe was a great smoke. There were no harsh spots at all. Just what I expected from the Padron family.
