This torpedo is the latest of the Padron Anniversario line along with the Millenium Toro that represents a departure for Padron. These newest are a fully engaging powerful blend of aged tobaccos. The Torpedo is a well made smoke with the characteristic

"Never a bad stick from Padron..."
Very mellow but flavorful toast and cocoa hints with a leather finish. A perfect draw as always. Touches of cinnamon like spices without being spicy. Perfect balance perfect construction.

"Complex and Interesting"
I tried this one after smoking the Serie 1926, and was a nice complement. This is not as strong as the 1926, but still delivers a bold flavor. Notes of bitter chocolate, leather and coffee play through on the palate, while the smoke held strong aromas of black cherry. Toothy salt and pepper ash was also noticed on the strong built stick.

"not bad"
I only smoke high end stuff for the most part since I don't smoke often. I thought the principe delivered more complexity. The contruction and draw are fine, but it just never reaches the next level in flavors.

"Un forgetable"
Smoke, draw, smell, flavor, burn are all A+. A great CIGAR to smoke I highly recommend it. I just wish that there was more of it available at on line cigar retailers. An enjoyable moment had to come to an end. It was very hard to see it finish.

"worth every penny"
Had the pleasure to smoke one all I can say is WOW what a cigar better then some Cubans that I have had. This CIGAR is strong full flavored, it has all of the exotic flavores, the draw and burn is excellent. Smoked it to the very end worth every penny.
It also last a longer time that your evrage cigars. If someone is a cigar smoker and enjoys a good smoke something different then this is it. Do your self a favor try one I know they are hard to find and kind of $$ but a good cigar lounge usually has a few or more.

"Pricey but good"
This is a beautiful, well made cigar with a dark natural wrapper. I enjoyed this smoke and found it to be creamy with a dense smoke that delivered a slightly spicy and toasty tobacco flavor that coated the palate. This flavor was consistent start to finish. The draw was not real easy, but each puff yeilded a large quantity of smoke. It never got harsh or ashy tasting. I smoked it to the nub and was enjoying it so much that the strength of it sneeked up on me toward the end and gave me quite a buzz. Seasoned cigar smokers should enjoy this one.

"Unforgettable"
I spent way too much money on this cigar. however, I was truly impressed by all aspects of this stick. This was a truly awesome smoking experience for me. I purchased two as an anniversary gift to myself last November (06). Man I'm glad I still have one in my box. For those who'd like a stick for special occasions, this could be the ticket. If I could afford to, I'd buy a box.

"Disappointed"
I was very excited for this cigar, but was generally disappointed. Upon light, was that a chlorine taste? Went out after a half inch. Burned uneven, had to relight 3 times, went through an entire box of matches. Seems like I had to constantly puff on this one to keep it lit. Harsh at the beginning and end, smooth in the middle. Gave me a nice buzz, but would I be stoned if I said I liked the 3000 better?

"if it was what it was then it was this cigar"
When I can afford it this is the way to go... with one of the darkest natural wrappers I have ever seen you would expect a stronger smoke. But this cigar provides a stronger than mild smoking experience. With its naturally sweet wrapper and great construction, this cigar was a very enjoyable smoke. Its draw and burn were excellent, and the ash held tight.

"A good Stog"
Recently enjoyed one of these puppies after watching my beloved Red Sox take game one of the world series. First of all these cigars are beautiful. It smoked perfectly and the draw was extremely smooth. It lacked the flavor I was looking for (even though I had just recently smoked a Superior and had the same problem). It was earthly, a bit nutty with with cocoa hints but would best be described as clean...which I dont mind. What I did enjoy about this torp was it's ability to pack a punch, all the time remaining smooth and consistent. I enjoy exhaling plumes of creamy smoke and it definitely delivered.
Over all it was a good smoke. It never really unfolded the way I wanted it to and the taste was a bit bland to but it did leave me content. Padron can deliver the same experience for $5.00.

"Top drawer consistant cigar"
Out of all the first rate cigars there are, opus x, VSG's and the like, the Padron 1964 line is the most consistant in quality. Every cigar I buy in this line is as exceptional as the next. Smooth draw, taste of spice and cocoa, and an even well balanced burn that very enjoyable. The torpedo is definately my favorite in this line

"WORLD CLASS"
This is one of the finest cigars I've ever smoked, from any country. Extremely rich flavor, very complex, and quite smooth. This cigar basically killed Cubans for me -- I'll never pay more for any cigar than this one because it just doesn't get any better than this. One interesting note: even though this is the natural wrapper, it's almost as dark as a maduro.

"Exceptional"
Maduro wrapper brought out a coffee/chocolate taste - complicated but outstanding. Good burn, light gray ash, slow buring. Who is making cigar roach clips. Also tried a natural wrapper, mild, not as complicated, but great flavor just the same.

"64 Torpedo"
A naturally sweet stick with some very complex espresso and cedary flavors. The burn and draw were perfect. The ash was light gray and held fairly tightly. It's a little over-valued, but then again this smoking experience can't be duplicated at any price.

"Very Good"
Nice looking box-pressed cigar. Smaller than average for torps. Draw was a little tight, but not unpleasantly so. Flavor is very mid-range, not much pepper (light), not much cocoa or coffee (heavy), just very clean toasty tobacco flavor, with mild earthiness. At first I thought, oh no, its going to be cigarette-like, but it fills out very well and is a good, if non-complex, smoke. But the back of my mind tells me that a $15 cigar should be more interesting than this. Its not bad at all - flavor is rated lower because there's just too little of it.
