"Try the Natural"
Attractive, but with little character. is the way The draw was a bit tight, but it was the taste that ended it for me. The natural had a hard draw, but at least the taste helped you forget. Nothing like that here, average flavor at best. But remember, I not a great maduro fan.

"93 rating, yeah right"
i love when cigar companies buy ratings with 4 page ads... this is a bought rating... excaliburs as a whole are really rather lame but this is the worst of the bunch, age does not help either

"nice flavor but..."
A bit plugged. Wondering about QC on these. When I got it to loosen up a little the flavor was woody and sweet with ever so slight spice. I would give another a try to see if the draw problem is common.

"Smooth & light"
Creamy maduro profile, similar to a Padron x000 but not as complex. Firm stick, packed with tobacco, straight burn with brilliant white ash that held for about 2". Medium body & strength, light aftertaste, nice relaxing smoke, perfectly complimented by a St. Pauli Girl lager.

"Light maddie"
This was a light flavored maduro. I like a little more pepper in my dark cigars, but this ended up going well with my light beer. Well constructed.

"Not a 93"
I bought these solely based upon the 93 rating this cigar was given in Cigar Aficionado. I suspect there were a lot of suckers out there like me who fell for it, based on their lack of availability at present. After allowing the box to rest for a month, which I thought was the fair thing to do, I tried two of them. The flavor is light and nearly non-existent, and the strength is about medium. The construction is excellent and the draw and burn are as they should be. On appearance and construction alone this rating gets jacked up, but I found it to be a very disappointing smoke, not only because of the high expectations, but because the flavor just wasn't there. CA got me this time, but never again.

"Full of Flavor"
OK, last year I smoked a box of these. These have a wonderful maduro flavor with some complexity. For the money you cannot go wrong. 1-1/2 inch ash with burnt cocoa flavor.

"Decent taste"
I enjoyed this cigar although I kept expecting a little more from it. The start had a very good taste and burned evenly all the way to about the mid point. I kept expecting maybe some leather or wood in it. I'd probably buy more and let them age a little. Still it was a nice cigar.

"Good cigar"
I liked this cigar, It had a good taste, burn and draw mostly. I would compare it to the EL REY DEL MUNDO OSCURO, but think it rates a bit lower with both overall experience and value.

"Chocolate?"
A strong leather and wood flavor, but chocolate? There was some sweetness to the smoke but I wouldn't call it chocolate. Great burn all the way down, never harsh or bitter. Really enjoyed this cigar.

"Expected more, not bad !"
I really did expect more from this cigar, than I had gotten. Having smoked others in the same line I expected a better than average smoke. Instead I found an okay cigar that was not bad, but not great either. Taste was not very good, but I found the construction good.

Great smoke for the price. Strong yet smooth with chocolatey flavors reminiscent of devil's food cake... Delicious!
