If your looking for a cigar that is sub $5, than this is the one. The average price I've seen has been around $3.75. This is a great all around cigar. I would put this up against the majority of cigars in the $10-$15 range. I am totally sold on this o

"Nutmegged"
This cigar had plenty of flavor, especially nutmeg. I've never tasted a cigar with such a nutmeg presence. I liked this cigar more than the Palma, I smoked earlier in the month, but less that the 3000 which has more spice. The burn and draw were fine and it's attractive in its simplicity. Overall, a very good buy for the money. This one had 4 months in the humidor, bet it will improve with age.

"a true great"
Have had this stick sitting in one of my humidors for about 7 months waiting for a special reason to light it up and getting a promotion seemed like a good enough reason.Apart from the slight unravel near the foot it was a real treat and some ageing has only helped the flavour.Smooth flawless wrapper, firm ash, delightfull aroma and an easy draw with loads of smooth blue grey smoke.A full flavoured smoke that really impressed this reviewer and it complimented the malt scotch that i was drinking,a must have in every ones humidor and too good to give away.

"Suite the price"
A RM22 ($5.80) cigar in my country, Malaysia, due to the unreasonable tax. For appearance, there was not much to say. it was good, just a little crack near the foot. construction was quite not up to standard. the cap seems to be made in a rush. after a solid cut & tested for the pre-draw, it went well.
The flavor, for me, the first third had some spiciness to it and there was a hint of sweetness (though i don't know where that came from). 2nd third of it was woody & sign of good tobacco. the final third was the same, just smoother. the flavor was ok but for someone searching for complexity, this is not the smoke for you.
so, for value was considerable (i hate the tax). imagine this, Montecristo no2 here is RM82 ($21.50)!!! but overall experience was good. i was sitting alone in front of my house while smoking this Padron.

"Tale of two ciggies"
It was smooth, earthy with a great draw and tons of cool smoke.
It was also super loose on the draw, bitter and tasted of poo.
I've bought 5 packs of this cigar monthly and have been letting them age. The problem is that you never know which one of those 2 cigars you're going to get. Last night I had the beautiful one that I smoked to the nub. Sometimes I get 3 in a row of smokes I have to dispose of after 3 pulls. The price is good, but I can't sacrifice humidor space anymore for smokes I can't rely on.

"Bitter"
I don't know if this was dry or what. It was really bitter the whole way through. I smoked the whole thing but it was not enjoyable at all. I have 4 others that came with a humidor deal. I'll let the others sit in the humidor for a few months and write another review. The cigar looked, drew, and burned even... it just tasted terrible.

"you don't have to pay a lot..."
...to get a darn good cigar. I had this after a very disappointing H. Upmann Cabinet Selection, and this Padron, at almost 2 dollars less was the vastly superior cigar. Great construction, razor straight burn, and not a hint of harshness. Great flavor of high quality tosty tobacco. Not the most complex cigar you'll ever smoke, but quite possibly my new go-to cigar, since my tastes have turned more nic than dominican (Fuentes are still darn good though)

"Delicious"
Great cigar, I've been wanting to try a Padron for awhile now and had this one sitting in the humidor for a couple months. Right off the bat, it had good flavors and burnt really well. The draw was perfect in mine; it wasn't like smoking air which is always good and showed some resistance which is needed in a good cigar. Towards the 2nd half until the end there was a really inviting sweet, tobacco flavor that makes me want to get a couple more for sure. All in all, it was the perfect smoke tonight for a very forgiving price. Anxious to try the maduro padron!

"Nice Puro"
Although I experienced a few Burn issues in the first 1/3 it straightened it self out, must be smoked slow if you break the one puff a min you might get burn issues. In USA one of the best high rated cigar for the money. Even in pricey California I can get one from a high priced B&M for $6 which is still a good deal with this smoke. To address the Canadian price I would believe its all due to taxes. If I ran a country that payed for everyones health care I would tax tobacco highly as it can put you in the hospital in your later years. Also if I was in Canada I would pay the extra bucks for Cubans or go online where you can get a box of 30 for $90, 3 bucks each is a great deal. Overall nice smoke great mild-medium, Long gray ash with a medium draw. Very consistent but not dull not a spice bomb but not bland or grassy at all. Taking all things into account .......NICE

"Quick Draw"
Burned way too fast for me. A really easy draw with clouds of smoke. A little spice and a decent flavor. What I really didn't care for was the draw. Too easy thus too hot. I suppose if I wasn't walking around the park I may have enjoyed it a bit more. I'll try the other few I've got in a more relaxed setting.

"Excellent Cigar but Over Price in Canada"
Beautiful made cigar with a lovely looking dark brown natural wrapper. The lite, the burn, and the draw were all excellent.
The Flavor this cigar start out very spicy and slowly tone done which was too bad, I wish that spiciness would continue through out the smoke. Because of the spice at the beginning I was expecting a full body cigar but as it turn out is was a very nice medium body cigar with a lot of earthy and herbal flavors
As for the pricing in Canada, $20 CDN is a hell of lot money for a regular Padron. For the same price in Canada I can easily pick an Ashton VSG or for bit more money get a Cuban Monte #2. The price on the Padron is way out whack so it not a great value for the money.

"A Great Smoke"
These were very highly recommended to me by a friend and I was not disappointed! Very nice looking but a little darker than most naturals that I've seen. Started out very nice. Burned very evenly, drew well with good smoke and a nice tight ash. Well constructed. Very mild, smooth smoke but doesn't dissapoint in the flavor deptartment. It has plenty but not so much that knocks you backward. A great cigar from start to finish at an excellent value at around $80 for a box of 25.

This stick was nicely balanced as it got more tastey 1/4-1/2 down the stick. Nice Peppery taste... probably the least complex Padron, but great value. Couldn't tell the difference between the Maduro and the Natty in wrapper shade. Highly recommend everyday smoke w/ the other thousands line...

"impressed"
its a great package, a 5 x 50 box pressed robusto with a firm kick at a bargain. what i did not anticipate was for this cigar to posess the same quality of outstanding contruction as a Padron 1964. A beautiful stark white ash that breaks only once. Easy light, consistent burn, voluptious smoke, effortless draw (especially notable as it is boxpressed). Enjoyable to the nub. Smooth oily wrapper. Taste wise: its a straightforward Nicaraguan puro, lots of spice and bight, dark and earthy. Sort of stalwart and austere, which i think is great for a 4 dollar smoke, but does not cut it for a $15-20 Padron 1964. I would be curious as to how this cigar would age. Also, since it is such an inexpensive, straighforward, heaty cigar, i want to try dipping the heads in a little bit of rum next time, like my good Cuban friend does with his grandfather's homemade cigars. Makes for a sweeter and more aromatic smoke.

"better than some & not as bad as others"
These are inexpensive, are full-flavored with a great taste, burn well, look great, and are inexpensive. Padron could probably charge 1.5X as much as their current MSRP and it would still be a very good buy. Frankly, this is the ebst non-cuban cigar mnufacturer around today because all of their products are consitently good.

"Nice surprise"
A nice smoke considering this is one of the cheaper Padron’s. I was not expecting much, but got a nice surprise. This is a good smoke. A bit of a canoe problem on the burn but I can live with that for an inexpensive smoke that has a lot of spice and flavor. I can only imagine how much better the more expensive Padron’s will be. I may have to break my $5.00 rule for this brand.

Quite possibly the perfect draw...not to heavy, not too easy. Was a little harsh tasting after first lighting, but developed into a rich, smooth taste...a little nutty and woody with VERY slight hints of sweetness. Construction is good, but the cap did come loose after cutting and did fall off after a few minutes but didnt affect the burn or taste the rest of the cigar. Burns very consistant

"Sample one first!"
Can you handle the truth? Okay. This is a machine-made White Owl! "Hand-made" regarding this product means turning the machine on by hand. The cigar has been chemically-treated to burn like a cigarette and is a "Johnny-one-note" in flavor. Don't buy a box until you've smoked one in a sample group, because this ain't no goodie! Actually, I marvel at how close this is in taste to a Lucky Stike cigarette. If you like bundle-cigars in quality then this one may be for you, but if you like quality and complexity, forgedaboudit.

"Another great Padron"
Although I have a different favorite in the regular Padron line (the 2000M right now) this is a very good cigar. It started out pretty robustly toasty and earthy, and mellowed slightly after the first inch to become a very smooth and tasty medium-bodied smoke. The flavors remained consistent to 1" burn, and the only detraction is probably the lack of additional flavor depth. I prefer the maduro version slightly for it's additional flavor depth, but both are excellent smokes and excellent values.

To my tastes this was a wonderful smoke. Smooth and silky, flavorful yet mild. Full bodied with tastes of coffee, caramel. The word that comes to mind is "creamy". It reminded me of my daily caramel machiatto at the "Bucks". Possibly too timid for some I found it to be satisfying and gracious. Wonderful for dessert or as a morning treat. A slightly tight draw upon lighting quickly yeilded to a smooth, gentle draw. I smoked this cigar outdoors at my deck bar on a warm evening. I had smoked an Ashton heritage about an hour prior.

"Very nice smoke. Great value"
This is one fine cigar. Starts out real spicy, then mellows out quickly while maintaining a peppery undertone. Nothing but straight-up flavor in this stick, which is a plus for anyone who is sick of trying to decide weather they are picking up "notes" of German cocoa or "hints" of roasted Columbian coffee bean on the finish of their cigars; because you won't have to worry about that with this smoke. I'd love to hear someone try to over-describe this cigar. Anyway, this is a great smoke, and the price is fantastic. Highly recommended.

"Great value, great taste"
Padrons are my favorite, and these are quality smokes from the less-expensive Padron series. got a box for about $90, but was initially disappointed in the first impression of the cigars, probably due to the rough handling and shipping and lack of humidification during storage/shipping. The caps were all about to fall off, and therefore had to use centerpunch. Initially tasted harsh and sour after lighting, but when allowed to mellow for 2 mins, it tasted wonderful. Great, bold flavor all the way through, and lasted about 1 hour. Ash is light grey, and tastes of chocolate and coffee. Smoked until 1.5 inches left, and turned very sour once the smoke got hot. Overall, excellent price, and an excellent smoke for a non-cuban. Padron has another winner on my list.

"Peppery!"
This cigar looks nice, has excellent draw, and good construction. Almost no veins on the wrapper. Cap comes off easily. Wrapper started to unravel a very tiny bit in one place. This one starts off VERY full-bodied and very peppery. Starts to mellow slightly after an inch or so. Tastes mostly of pepper with a touch of Padron spice. This one was just a bit too full-bodied for me, and way too peppery. If you like pepper you'll probably like this alot. Quite a nicotine kick.

"I don't really like it"
The cigar has a viney velvety wrapper. It was a bit hard to clip (suspect it¡¦s because of the cutter), good cap, and pre light draw has a hint of pepper. It is easy to light, which is not at all surprising. Draw is a bit loose, has a rich woody taste and pepper, hints of cedar, spices, cocoa, earthy and a light touch of sweetness. Draw becomes smoother after it passes the first third. The cigar has a dry finish, and the taste is consistent throughout the cigar. Ash is gray and firm. It burns a little bit uneven, and burns slow. Seems like it lacks something comparing to the 3000 maduro, but it's equally good.
