An additional year of aging really helps this one. Flavors are solid and definitely Nicaraguan but not too complex. Mellow full flavor of roasted nuts.

The "Natural" looks like an EMS or maduro. Appear to be box pressed - somewhat square. Very well made and consistent. Draws well. Lots of rich creamy smoke. Full bodied but never harsh. Smoked it till I burned my fingers. Went back and bought a box

"Good smoke"
Just got done with this one and I must say that it was worth every penny. Great taste throughout the entire cigar. Great mix of spice and a hint of some grassy undertones. I had to remove the band and nub this one. Great cigar with an easy draw and awesome burn. My one complaint, it only lasted 3 holes on the golf course. This is a must try and I will be purchasing more.

"Average by my standards"
I'm relatively new to cigar smoking, but I've had my share of awesome 5.00 dollar smokes. This one wasn't as good as I've heard.
I gave it a sniff, it smelled like your average medium bodied smoke. Nothing to write home about.
Construction on the one I had was sub par. It was lumpy, porous, and just plain ugly. I could almost sense it was going to just downright unravel on me.
I chewed it on the way home from the shop. It had a nice spice from the pre light draw.
After it was sparked, it began to run wild on me. Although I didn't need to correct it, it seemed to get out of control on a few occasions. The wrapper began to crack in a few spots midway through. No biggie.
The cigar tasted excellent for the money, though. It was medium throughout, also not as much smoke as expected from a thicker stick. The smoke was very faint, even when I'd give it a few puffs.
I smoked it down to right past the label, and all in all, it was one dimensional. Pretty straight forward cigar. (which isn't necessarily a bad thing)
I will say though, for you money, there are better every day smokes out there.

"almost as good as the maduro"
I didn't quite enjoy it as much as the maduro, which I also had recently. Still, another smoke bomb as deliciously aromatic as any cigar out there. I didn't sense much spice at all and the finish was not as clean but still a fine smoke. Canoed just like the maduro but no touch up was necessary. Strong white ash and effortless draw added to the aesthetics.

"Second Time Around"
I've had a couple more of the 3000s and I must say the first review I gave is dead wrong. This is a great cigar from start to finish. It feels light in the hand, but it produces big puffs of smoke. Medium to full flavor and the flavor varies throughout. A complex stick. Easy to understand why they are so sought after. Will try the 1964 or 1926 series when I take out a second mortgage.

This little beauty gives you tons of perfect white smoke. The ash is very white and hangs on forever. Pretty in appearance. Smells and feels good before lighting. Flavor was quite good and strong. Probably the best draw of anything I've ever smoked. Full-bodied. A smooth, fantastic cigar.

"Not the best, but not bad..."
A tasty cigar, this one. First half was very chocolately and nutty, while the second half picked up some spice, which then settled down on the last third. Had a bit of an uneven burn with some tunneling around halfway through. For $3.99, Padron is a great value and although this cigar had some faults, I'd still recommend it is a nice full bodied smoke.

A true bargain. A sub 5.00 cigar that is better than most 2-3 times the price. Very smooth, nice burn, firm draw, and full enough to be interesting. (But not so full as to leave you sick) I consider it a treat every time a light one up.

"Great"
This was my first ever premium long filler smoke. It was about 8 months ago, and I was put on my ass. I dont remember much about it because I was a rookie and I got a nasty buzz. I was in my local shop today and I decided to give it another shot. Appearance isnt spectacular, but it still looks good. Nice feel, not solid, but not underfilled either. Absolutely perfect draw. Razor straight burn. Nice varying flavors of nuts, wood, pepper and tobacco. Obviously, the 64's and 26's are better, but for the money I think this may be one of the best cigars out there. Absolutely outsanding.

"Great Standard"
This cigar is always a consistant favorite. Great feel, construct, burn and taste. It never lets me down, especially for the price. Padron 64 &26 are of course amazing, but when you can't afford them (time & PRICE), this is my stand-by. It seems to me all Padrons get a really amazing flavor as you smoke them making the last half, even last quarter an amazing taste you don't want to put down, even past the band. This is no different... (ps my cigar shop is overpriced on everything, costs $4 elsewhere)

"Impressive for the Price"
I paid about 3.50 for this smoke, and was very pleased. Draw was easy. Like many Padrons the wrapper was fairly veiny, but I'm not sure that's too important to me. What mattered most was the flavor, and like I said, I was impressed for the price. This was a medium bodied smoke with a bold start which quickly mellowed into distinct coco flavors with coffee. Over time this turned into nuttier flavors, and I enjoyed the changes the whole way. I'll certainly buy a few more and let them sit in the humidor for a while.

"First 3000"
I have smoked a few Padrons, this was my first 3000. The first thing I noticed about this one was how open and easy the draw was. Tons of billowing white smoke. Wthin about an inch and a half I already had a pretty good buzz going. Taste was pretty consistent with other Padron, a little harsh at first. Don't get me wrong, this was a pleasant smoke and it got smoother as it went along. Mostly woody taste. Not bad for the price.

"this was the best cigar under 5?"
I picked this one up after reading the top cigars of 2005 article. I let it sit for a week to settle, then couldn't wait to smoke it. It looked nice, but have seen better. Construction looked solid, felt nice, but a bit of the wrapper was ripped. It didn't hurt but still. I lit it, and took a puff. Easy draw, like going through a straw, but that's it. A hint of woody-ness and felt full. After 3 puffs, the woodyness and smooth long full taste subsided to a more medium taste. After that, it went downhill fast. At first it tasted a bit like coffee but more bitter than actual coffee. After 2 puffs, the coffee disappeared completely and just had a long bitter aftertaste with no flavor otherwise. I thought it may be too hot so I left it sitting for a bit, and still, bitter. I cleared it out, but still bitter. I choked down til about halfway where I couldn't take it anymore, it just tasted horrible. It had a good strong ash that held but it doesn't matter if it doesn't taste good. I seriously hope I got a bad one. I will try this one more time because it's cheap but consider me not impressed at all.

"Solid, meaty, yummy stick."
You can taste the care the Padron family puts into creating these sticks. I had this Padron 2000 or 3000 (I can't tell) in the box for about 8 months. The wrapper was shiny, veiny and had a mottled complexion of chestnut and dark brown. The prelight aroma was wonderful. The draw was perfect...just slightly on the tight side. The way I like it. The stick never got hot even way down to the nub. Body seemed to be an overall mild to medium although these sticks are billed as full flavor. Flavor started with cinnamon and cedar wood with a slight sweetness yet had a nice meaty chewyness to it. Overall the flavor went on to have varying degrees of above mentioned flavors. Just an incredibly enjoyable hour and 40 minute smoke. Aftertaste was pleasant.

"A fine stick"
This cigar appearance and presentation is very nice, with a subtly pressed body that was smooth and some what oily on the wrapper. The cap construction was smooth also, and cut very even to allow for a nice smooth draw. The foot lit even and held a slow burn with a crumbly salt and pepper ash. The taste were medium to full with notes of smooth spice and a solid woody finish on the lips. A fine stick for any one to try.

"Another good Padron"
This stick had a nearly perfect burn, consistently smooth and even with no nasty bits. The flavors are typical Padron, medium in body and earthy and toasty. The only downside is the lack of additional complexity, and after a few of them I've decided I prefer the maduro versions better for that extra little bit of flavor. Overall though an excellent value and a really nice cigar.

This was the first Padron I ever smoked. I wanted to see if it was worthy of the high ratings. I enjoyed it but was not that impressed. I smoked a few more and started liking them more, but after trying the 2000M and other Padron Maduros, this is not a cigar that I enjoy nearly as much. Probably a good choice for someone that likes a mild cigar or is just starting to smoke cigars.

"what a great smoke"
I absolutely love this cigar. From it's box shape to flavours and smell, it's great! This has got to be one of the best valued smokes out there. This cigar, though a natural, is quite dark in colour - I actually almost mistook it for a maduro! The wrapper is slightly oily and feels great to the touch. This cigar is quite firm without any soft spots or anything. The cap is poorly constructed but I use a punch on this so it doesn't affect me too much. This cigar lights quite easily, doesn't take too long, nor does it light to quickly. The flavours .. oo the flavours. It has that amazing Padron taste and dominates with cedar, sweet creaminess (almost like coffee), earthiness, and leather. These are really smooth smokes and aren't harsh at all, even until the end - and trust me, you will want to smoke these to the end. They burn evenly with a tight, light grey ash that holds for 2 inches or more. I just love these smokes and I think everyone should try at least one.
