They call it a Churchill, but it's really a Lonsdale. Regardless, it's an excellent smoke in every respect. I've never really like Nicaraguan tobacco, but I definitely like this puro and will not hesitate to buy more.

I smoked the aniversary series and they were wonderful. I noticed that everyone on the web said this was a teriffic smoke. It smelled awful before it was lit, tasted worse when it was. It had great draw but burned unevenly. When I rolled the ash, the

This cigar seems to be on the small side for a churchill but that's how it's classified. It's definitely a full bodied robust smoke that provides spicy flavors w/ hints of cocoa and liquer. It's best experienced w/ light full draws and expelled through th

"Most of the Time!"
This is a very good cigar, most of the time. I tasted a couple that were average at best. They seem to need their time in the humidor. The one I'm reviewing here was fine. Though it lacks complexity, but so do lots of good things in this world. It really was a pleasure to smoke and though the construction had it's flaws, there was nothing to detract from a very flavorful experience.

"not enough"
tossed a bad torpedo and went to a churchill which I decided to move up to from a diet of palmas (which I had moved to from Londres) increase in size due to better tolerance for nicotine; however I agree w/ other reviewers: it is not interesting enough for a long smoke, especially alone on my back porch in the cold

"New Experience"
Just finished smoking another one, but I had this one with a Guiness Stout. I like drinking dark beers or black coffees w/ cigar. It seems to bring out the flavor in the cigars for me. The cigar took on a charry, bitter, dark espresso flavor this time even before I started drinking the Guiness. I made an effort to pay close attention to changes in flavor as I paired cigar and drink and there wasn't much change. I didn't finish the cigar because I honestly got bored. The cigar's overtone of bitter espresso was ever-present and dominant. The cigar is medium smoke and had a lot of the same flavor. The finish was long and the burn was good as usual

I smoked this one with a cup of hot black coffee and had a great time. The smoke seemed like a mild-medium without any specific flavors standing out. The taste is well-balanced and subtle. The construction was good, and the burn was even. You can't go wrong with Padron

"age them!"
I pulled out my last padron churchill from a box I bought 4 years ago to enjoy at a bar tonight....and WOW. Time really smoothed out all the edges as it started off with a sweet, creamy, nutty flavor that lasted for nearly an hour. The smoke was so smooth and clean.
A young woman asked to try a puff and said it tasted like cookies!
Towards the second half, it became spicier and turned a bit charry at the end (which a purge would surely fix).
A suggestion: Buy a box and let them sit. Their flavorful complexity and smoothness stand out with some time.

"A solidly consistent cigar."
Last nights near 2 hour experience with this well aged stick (1 year) leaves me with the impression that when in doubt go with a well aged Padron. These will never win any beauty contests, but the year of aging smoothed out some harshness I experienced before and left me with a perfect smoking, smooth, slightly sweet, mocha and slight spice flavor profile. For $4 this is a solid value. Nothing mindblowing here. These are just consistently nice and smokeable.

"perfect size"
An every day cigar masterpiece. Same Padron consistancy with excellent construction. Perfect draw. Sweet wrapper and with the thinner ring gauge you can really taste it. Wood, coffee and nuts are all rolled up in a solid medium bodied cubanesque flavor. Buy a box.

"Nice Stick"
For the money (4.00) this is a Great smoke. An average looking wrapper doesn't do this stick justice. This is a med. body treat for any cigar smoker. The flavors jump from earth tones to nutty note to coffee. I would highly reccomend this well made cigar!

"Thoroughly enjoyable."
This cigar pleasantly surprised me. Negatives first: It won't win any beauty contests, as these wrappers never seem to get "pretty" (so what).... it's called a churchill but to me it's really a lonsdale with only a 46 ring gauge (again...so what). (Rocky Patel does this with their Vintage Series cigars)... the flavor of this stick started out way too spicey for me (only real negative).
The Positives: After the initial disagreeable harsh spiciness she smoothed out nicely into a 2 hour array of medium bodied sweet tobacco, and cocoa, with a hint of spice. The draw was perfect. The burn was ok. The cigar actually got smoother tasting as I smoked this down to a nub. I highly reccomend smoking these slowly.
I did (for 2 hours) and I thoroughly enjoyed this smoke. I know I have been guilty in the past of wolfing through sticks. This really does an injustice to a cigars potential to smoothly deliver its flavor profile to you. The last positive I'd mention is the band. I like Padron's small, simple yet stylish and inobtrusive band. I wish more cigar makers would head in this direction with their bands. Too many bands today can fit a grocery list on them. I think I paid $4/stick. If I did, a wonderful value.

"Way too much half way through"
I really like the 2000's and the 3000's, so I thought I'd try the big boy. I was really disappointed. The first half was a decent enough experience. Almost full bodied with lots of leather. Half way through it just gets overwhelming though. Couldn't taste anything else for about two days after I was done with this guy. Some may enjoy this guy, but I can't appreciate it.

"Decent Smoke"
Not the prettiest stick in the humidor, but once you light it up you won't care. It's the classic Nicaraguan flavor-- wood and leather. This one seems thin for a churchill, and I prefer the complexity of the larger ring gauges. Halfway down this churchill gets harsh and the complexity is devoured by strength; the loose roll might have something to do with this. Save your pesos and go for the anniversario.

"#2"
I would probably have rated this cigar higher if I hadn't smoked the Executive first. It has the same great flavors but due to the smaller ring gauge just can't deliver them as fully. Cocoa, leather and sweet tobacco make it a very nice smoke, I just couldn't get all I wanted out of it.
