"Consistent"
If want consistent Padron is it. Always the same taste, everytime, all day.
A good mild to medium cigar with typical Padron flavor... try one you've tried them all. the only issue I ever have is an occassional uneven burn. Got a great price on some at auction

"Padron 5000 (N)"
Very good every day cigar. There is definitely a hint or two of black cherry. Otherwise, the tobacco flavor is very good, plenty of smoke, nice firm ash (only ashed 2 or 3 times). Using the purging technique toward the end makes the cigar burn somewhat cooler. Overall, hints of coffee, light hints of chocolate, black cherry, and very earthy.

"Mild and Appealing"
As a new Padron fan, I was excepting this one to be as strong (but balanced) and the 1926, but this one was rather mild. Not a whole lot of complexity, but still great flavors. The profile was made of toasty, warm, chocolately flavors and the aroma was aestheticallypleasing-strong rich tobacco with hints of black cherry. Thick and bulky, this cigar burned evenly with powder white ash and the draw had absolutely no drag whatsoever. Great starter and introduction to Padron cigars for those not ready to try the '64 or '26.

"Good Cigar"
This was a nice cigar on a windy night, so most of the aroma was blown to the wind. I had some trouble with the cigar burning evenly. It seemed to be rolled very loosely on one side and very tight on the other. I prefer the Maduro, but this was still a great medium cigar for under $6.00. I'll probably smoke again, but i'll let it age a while longer in the humidor

"Not a 3000"
I've smoked several from the Padron line and loved them all. They've always been very consistent, great everyday smokes at a reasonable price. Not this one. Not the nicest to look at, lots of veins but feels good to hold. Aroma gave me high expectations but once lit the thing took off like lighting a firework! Very rapid, uneven burn without even puffing. Things settled down after about an inch with plenty of smoke but very loose ash. Flavour was just a little peppery and woody - nothing great. For about an inch things went fairly well but still just a plain, fairly strong tobacco flavour. Then the thing just died - everything became black and solid and I just couldn't get it to burn. I tried clipping and relighting but to no avail -- in the end I gave up trying. After having read more of the reviews I see that others have also had quality control issues. I'll try one of the others sitting in the humi but I think I'll stick with the 3000 and 4000 thankyou.

"Great Smoke"
After a Padron 6000 earlier, I expected that this might be a let down... No! This was a fantastic cigar with typical Padron Flavor! It burned cooler than most Padrons, (probably due to size) and still tasted delicious with some coffee. I am usually into smaller cigars, but this will definitely remain a consitant buy. Padrons distinct flavor is just the best.

"Another Quality Padron"
This is a fat robusto -- with a ring gauge of 56 it's a mouthful. The wrapper is rough and the cap especially so. It's not an attractive cigar. Prelight it has a definite barnyard aroma, more so on the foot than the wrapper. The draw is very loose, but at the same time the burn is very slow. It's a very well balanced cigar. It starts up with a slight bite and lots of pepper. Soon it drops down a notch and presents a woody profile, with cedar in the spotlight. It's a long-lasting robusto, burning for well over an hour. A tasty well balanced smoke.

"Nicaragua can produce a nice puro!"
This is very special non-Cuban puro that can reinstore faith in NC cigars to even the most devoted habanos smoker. To taste this and think it is a puro you are reminded that fine tobacco leaf grows in many areas. Well done it is deep, flavorful and fun to smoke with such a ring gauge

"Everyday Smoke Keeps Getting Better"
The Padron 5000 Natural is an everyday smoke that all can enjoy. For a cigar under $6.00 this Padron makes for enjoyment with its toothy, toasty flavor with hints of coffee. While construction is not as firm as Padron 64's, this cigar gives you just enough to make you want more.

Nice cigar. Much like the Montecristo Robusto, but a bit stronger in the beginning, burns hotter, and a stronger finish. Very nice, tight draw. Ash forms well.

"Powerman 5000"
I usually do not dig overly spicy cigars...and this was right on the edge. Just the right kick, nice sassy spice, some deep, leathery tones...overall, a great smoke. Insanely perferct draw and burn...I only had to flick TWICE. Very pleasurable, even for the milder palate.

"Found one"
Been sampling many cigars in search of a select few I want sitting in my humidor for my once a week smoke. The 5000 is a keeper. Consistent taste and flavor (lightly creamy , nicely toasty) start to finish, on the medium side. Construction was a bit shabby on this one though. I have heard of inconsistencies with cigars, so I assume getting another of these wont be a problem. Plan on trying the Maduro 5000 now.

"Great Staple for the Humidor"
Have several of these in the humi. Always a pleasurable smoke. Burn was great-no touch up's. Flavor was more creamy/toasty than spicy. Did not experience any bitterness as reported by other participants-perhaps due to long aging in the humidor. Plenty of smoke and good draw. Overall a good experience.

"An everyday smoke"
The padron 5000 has been my everyday smoke for quite sometime. I find that for the price, this cigar to be consistantly a fantastic cigar with overtones of spice and cocoa just like the entire Padron line that rarely dissapoints. A consitant flavor and burn from beginning to end

"I promise, this is the last..."
...even because I have run out of 5000, and I am not buying a new box. Well, like the old car you're trading in that works magnificently on its last week with you, this last 5000 was the cream of the crop. Great flavors, a lot of smoke and even acceptable construction, although nothing to write home about. Just a little free advice to Jose Padron: get the quality control right on the 5000, and you have a winner!

"Inconsistency is THE issue"
Well, again on the P 5000 saga...this one has been aging four months in the humidor, same box as the ones rated before (see my comments). This time, flavour was very good, sweet but not bland, creamy. Construction though was appalling: a veiny leaf was a constant nuisance through the smoke, ashes were a nightmare, the combustion ring was very uneven and the 5000 couldn't stay lit after first half. All in all valuable smoke, but hindered by flaws not compatible with Padron's image. Maybe the roller in Nicarague was thinking to something else THAT day....

"A good one"
Well, my first one was not so good, bitter and harsh. The other ones from the same box have been definitely better, even if always on the bitter side, but more pleasingly so. All in all, quality for the 5000 seems inconsistent, much more so than for other Padron product. I re-rate the 5000, but inconsistency is an issue.

"OK Smoke"
This was the first cigar in this series I've tried and it was OK. Flavor was good, mild to medium body and it smoke well, but burn was uneven and construction seemed inconsistent to overall a little poor. I'd try one again tho because the flavor was pretty good. Overall I'd say a little better than average.
