"Delightful"
I got a fiver of this cigar and stored it for 3 weeks before lighting one. Med body and flavors of spice with a solid sweetness added. It started off as a nice smoke but got really good after an inch and just didn’t want it to end.

"Great smoke at an even better price."
This was my first Padron that wasn't one of the anniversary series. A rough looking stick with a bumpy wrapper. Roll felt really loose but still cut easily with a 7mm punch. Pre-light draw was pretty loose which had me a little worried about how this would burn. Poured myself a glass of Flor de Cana rum, lit up and got to work. Opening flavor was light touches of cedar and earth. After settling, tastes of coffee (sometimes burnt coffee) and more cedar started to come through. On occasions notes of cocoa would show up on the back of the tongue. Burn was pretty much spot on and didn't need any corrections from me. The draw stayed loose but never caused the cigar to smoke hot. I nubbed this one down to less than an inch and it stayed enjoyable to the end. Overall, this was a great cigar and the sub six dollar price tag makes it even better. I will definitely be on the lookout for these in the future.

"consistant performer"
Very quick light...burn was actually a little too rapid. The flavor was consistent from start to finish. I found it to be earthy and woody(cedar). Very nice cigar with about 5 months age in the humi.

"Plumes of Smoke"
Smoked the first one out of a new box. Although the cigar was a little mushy with a loose draw and uneven burn, it still displayed all of the signature Padron flavors. Even a less than perfect Padron is still very enjoyable. I will let these sit for a while in the humi and revisit.

"A Padron needs some age"
Smoked my first 5000. Perfect construction, cool razor sharp burn and a lot (volumes) of creamy smoke. Taste is much like the others in the 1000-series but i guess with little less earth and more sweet maduro overtone. Stil i smoked this one a tat to young (almost right out of the box). I prefer at least 6 mths age on them. They will even get beter and beter with more age. But difficult to hang on to them for so long 🙂

"Great go-to cigar"
Here's the cigar that you'd be lucky to buy a box of and enjoy on a regular basis for a few months: consistently solid, chunky, hearty build and construction; solid tobacco / cedar taste and aroma that reminds you that you're glad you're a cigar smoker. Reasonable price for ongoing indulging. I've noticed that these cigars are a lot better if they're well-humidified, and the draw can be too loose/harsh if the stick is dry.

"Not too shabby"
This was one of six left over from a gift. They've been in the humi for 1 year+. The appearance was a little rough. The flavors had blended nicely though. It was a mild-medium smoke. Burn was straight and ash held nicely. Started cedary then moved to leather and a hint of licorice. I'll still hold onto these a little longer.

"Just short of great"
The dominant Padron flavors are all there, woody, toasty, earthy, smooth and with a sweetish maduro overtone. Everything was great except for the first 1/2" which was bitter, harsh and tangy. This seems to be a bad box, as I have had others that were consistently smooth and tasty. I personally prefer the 2000M and 3000M to this one, I think they have better flavors (and are cheaper to boot!).

"A fat Padron"
This stick was very chunky and had a nice darke wrapper. The foot lit well and started off even then I hit some bad spots, The finish on this stick was nice with a woody taste. The notes were of cedar and some hazelnut notes. A medium body smoke with a fat ring.

"Very good"
Some people don't like the size of this cigar, but I loved it. What impressed me the most was the excellent construction on this baby. Wonderful draw for such a fat stogie. The ash and burn were on the mark. Lots of woody/cedary flavors with a little taste of nuts. One of the best Padrons.

"Not what I expected"
I agree with some of the other reviewers that the ring gauge was excessive. It did lend itself to cool burning, but lacked the zing I'm used to with a Padron. The smoke was medium bodied to start, and actually mellowed out as it burned. Mine had a construction flaw - a hole down the center which caused some funky burning. Otherwise this was a nice looking stick. This is a relatively quick smoke for a large ring gauge (about 45 minutes). I smoked it down to the end and enjoyed the experience, but I will probably stick to the smaller gauges.

"Nice Woody Fatboy"
I think this is the largest ring size of all the Padrons. Unlike most others its almost square. Just smoked one from a box purchased in June. Pleasant 45 minute smoke. Maybe its the size (56) but this lacks some of the nuances I get in the 2000 (50) and 3000 (52). Still a really nice smoke just missing a little vs the smaller ring sizes. Some of the other reviews rate this higher than the anniv. series. All I can say is check the authenticity bands more carefully on your anniv. sticks. My favorite in the normal line is the Magnum lots of the right ring size. This is a good value at under $ 6 a stick but try the 3000's, taste great and less (cash register) filling.

Ring g. is larger than I prefer, but again the full, rich flavor of the entire Padron line. As the beautiful lady at "Stag Tobacco" in Colorado said, " you can never go wrong with a Padron"

"An imperfect 10"
Impeccable construction, finish and overall feel. The maduro wrapper was lustrous, with notes of chocolate, coffee and leather. Smooth and flavorful from the very beginning, with leather and chocolate notes throughout. One of the best tasting cigars I have had (until the last 1/4 of the cigar... more on this below), regardless of price. The draw is consistent and not too firm, but steady with a nice 1.5-inch silver ash. All was well until the last 1/4 of the cigar... I must have hit a (really) bad spot of tobacco: the cigar went suddenly sour, bitter, and just plain unsmokable. I assume and hope this was a very unfortunate one-of-a-kind incident, and look forward to having another Padron 5000 that is excellent until the end. Save for this presumed fluke, an outstanding cigar for a not too long a smoke.
