Romeo y Julieta (Cuba) Edicion Limitada 2001 Piramide

An earthy medium bodied cigar with a touch of peppery spice. While it drew and burned well, I was hoping for more from a 6 year old EL. I have found that more ELs turn out to be average or even disappointing than being better than the regular production Cubans. Money would be better spent on a POW or even a straightforward Cazadore.

This cigar is underated. granted, if given the choice I would pick the Cohiba LE 01, but this is still a great smoke in a unique shape for a RJ. Great earthy, creamy flavor. Smooth, milder than the Cohiba....but all around much better than rated here so far.

I had written in a while back about this cigar and was told it was counterfeit. I knew it was not because of my source for cubans.

THis was the first LE's that I smoked and they got me to make sure that I tried every LE I could ge my hands on. It is a good balanced smoke that some times gives you an uneven burn. There are better LE torps but this sure is a good one for folks that like a milder smoke.

One ofthe first LE's from Cuba, this one is hard to find. I wasn't overly amazed, and like most of the LE's this cigar will improve with time. The deep wrapper is exciting, but I think the Partagas LE Piramide has a heads up on this cigar
