"Average"
I have a respect for Rocky Patel's consistancy in their cigars. Not to say that they're all alike, they each exibit their unique qualities, I've just come to expect that Rocky-like quality from each new one I light up. This cigar was no exception, it's burn was clean, as was the draw, and it had some pleasant, spicy flavors about it, as the pre-lit scent would suggest. An all around good smoke.

"Over hyped"
Great looking, dark and mysterious. Lit and burned well, but flavor was lacking. I expected more. Just average for me. I would smoke one again, if someone gave as a gift, but doubt I would spend any money on them.

"Decent"
All the cigar shops really hyped these. Unfortunately it does not live up to the hype. Now I wouldnt thro it away but I dont buy them anymore. When a retailer points them out to me I just shrug and say Im not a big fan of them.
The taste is alright but there not enough smoke and what there is is thin. Doesnt burn great.
Leather notes and some sweetness.

"I must have gotten an especially great one"
I just can't say enough good things about this cigar.
The cigar is just sexy: beautiful ebony box-pressed churchill with the burgundy and gold bands.
Pre-light, I was getting unsweetened chocolate and deep leather bouquet from the wrapper; more or the same from the draw.
Upon lighting, I noticed a slightly spicy, woody/nutty top note, with unsweetened chocolate and a bit of coffee in the middle, and a slight vanilla/caramel on the bottom. The taste was not muddled, and each flavor was specific. The after-taste was slightly smoky wood.
This cigar is really superb. The spice came and went occasionally, with a bit of anise joining the party a bit over half into the smoke.
This medium bodied cigar emitted a fairly heavy volume of slightly spicy smoke. The initial ash held on for about 2". The construction was superb, and the draw was very easy, maybe a little easy for my preference- that would be the only criticism I have of this top-tier smoke.
I hope they never stop making these, as those cigars could become a regular in my humi. If I hear of these neing discontnued, I will buy a few boxes with the quickness.

"Good year"
I got a box of tubos a while ago and then another box just recently. I'll admit they are a bit pricey for the quality, but I was lucky enough to find deals on CI. The rich and consistent flavors keep me coming back to these, another plus is I don't have to let them sit in my humidor for more than a few weeks to recharge from shipping, then they are ready to go. The give a even burn, usually with a good draw, but I've had a few that were a little tight. They certainly do look great, and I often enjoy them at parties or on special occasions, they always seem to impress and make great gifts that are always enjoyed but don't kill my pocketbook.

"refined but overhyped"
This was a pretty good cigar but it's best days were probably due 4-5 years ago. This was never meant to be anything more than a mild, refined cigar. You just can't age something mild for 14 years and expect the flavor to expand. Good, but better suited for the $3.50 range.

"Very nice @ the right price."
These are good cigars but not anywhere close to as good as the retail price. Now that they have lost some of their glitter you can find them reasonably priced. All in all a very pleasant smoke, mild to medium body and sweet woody flavors witj a hint of spice. The burn is good and the ash is good for an inch or so. 3 to 4 bucks is about right for this one, any more and you could do better.

"Flavorable"
I got four of these in a CI sample. Had not been impressed with RPV previously. This stick really surprised me with its relaxing, mild and nutty flavor. Lingered in the mouth. A perfect watch TV series with girlfriend cigar.

"Good vintage"
The price i paid for this stick was a bit of a ripoff, but that is on the shop, not the manufacturer. However based on the smoke it was still a bargain. Excellent draw and very consistant burn, no correction was necessary. Very complex flavor

"A Good Cigar"
I first bought these cigars thinking they might be an affordable alternative to a Padron '64 Diplomatico. They are not. They do have good construction, burn and draw, but they are jsut good. Not excellnt like the Padron. When my curret box is gone, I'll not buy more at the current price.

"Hard to tell"
It's kind of hard for me to tell which I like better the 1990 or the 1992 line, there both outstanding smokes. These cigars are very well rolled and have a great draw and burn. Lots of smoke and a decent ash. But the key is in the flavor or should I say flavors. Lot of taste flavors come though during the smoke, like chocolate some sweetness to it some leather, earth and I could even pick up that touch of black cherry someone stated. These are great with a single malt or a good blended scotch. And on Cigar Bid there a great deal too. IMO I do highly recommened any of the Vintage line.

"Not the best RP Vintage"
Not quite as good as the RP Vintage '92 Torpedo, of which I just bought a bundle of 2nds. This cigar's construction is as good as it gets, but I just didn't find that same unique flavor as I did in the Torpedo. Still a quality cigar, but not quite the jewel that the Torpedo is.

"Great Stogie"
Very good smoke. Burned evenly and well. Good draw and mild-medium body was consistent.

"Not Great"
I had anticipated a better cigar than this turned out to be. A tough draw was the primary difficulty. It isn't as hearty as the sun grown, but there are some nice flavors here-- some chocolately sweetness, and a fairly spicy finish. Perhaps this one stick was an anomaly, but I wouldn't buy a box of these based on the one I had-- the construction problems did this one in. For 6 bucks I expect better.

"Disappointed"
Great looking with beautiful, but thin wrapper that didn't hold up well at the head. Decent burn that self-corrected. Draw was very light , but smoldered outside with little smoke through the cigar. Strength was medium/mild with very little to distinguish the bland taste.

"Nice Stick"
Great burn. Gobs of smoke. Very nice overall med to fringe of full flavor for me. Had a hint of cherry and chocolate with a lot of hearty earth and leather flavors. Great aftertaste. Lasted a good hour and 15 minutes. Pleasant aftertaste. Probably not for the mild crowd unless your looking for a change of pace. A fine med to full flavored smoke here. (I hear the vintage 90's are better)

"Very good"
Refined and luxurious. This cigar has a beautiful dark Ecuador wrapper although it is thinner than what I like my Churchills to be. It's fairly well made but the best part is the nutty flavor which is present from beginning to end. Not cheap though at around $10 per stick.

Great apperance, contstruction. It was a very mild cigar even towards the end, got a good sweet taste all the way through but nothing super great though.

"Very good, and worth paying for it"
This is a serious cigar for the serious. Presenting a complex personality that starts out strong and stays consistent right to the finish. Construction in this entire line is very good as is the burn. An easy draw, and if you like tons of smoke with each pull, then this is your cigar. Try them all, the blends are pretty consistent throughout both vintages.

"good, but you pay for it"
Burned great, lots of white smoke. Creamy sweet flavor with some pepper, cedar, and a strong tobacco bite. Reminded me of a more mellow Padron with all the stregnth intact. Padrons are much cheaper......

"Surprised"
Very nice. The flavor had some twists and turns but never for the worst. Draw and construction were great as well. I still can't believe that the makers of Indian Tabac had anything to do with this cigar.
