"Smooth and mild"
This stick was very nice looking with oily wrapper that had some veiny spots but all in all very nice appearance. The cap construction was ok looking and cut even. The taste on the first draw was very mild and had lots of nice notes of wood and a mild hint of nutty taste on the finish. A nice mild smoke that with time can keep up with the big boys.

"Definately buy a box!"
I enjoy a mild smoke and the good looks of a light connecticut wrapper. In my quest to find a daily smoke with less impact on the wallet than Ashton, and more complexity than a Macanudo, I stumbed upon the RP vintage 1999.
Beautiful wrapper and construction, wonderful pre-light draw and aroma--I was impressed before I even lit this baby up. Once it got going the burn was dead-on perfect and it produced heavenly amounts of white slightly sweet smoke that felt luxurious on the palate.
The flavor was smooth from start to finish, but NOT just "mild and bland"--there were subtle changes from coffee to nuttiness to just hint of a little spiciness.
The burn stayed cool all the way down to the nub, and the draw was consistent throughout. It sounds silly, but I was really a little sad when this one was over. Fortunately, I have a box on the way!
I highly recommend this to any Ashton or macanudo smoker who is looking for a little variety or something easier on the wallet. Rocky has put together a winner with this one!

"mostly excellence"
My only complaint on this one would possibly be the fragility of the wrapper. I've smoked one from a fiver. However, that's where it ends. Nice even draw, easy light, even burn. & a very nice mellow tasty smoke - one to enjoy to the nub - although mine did go out - I'll be lighting and smoking the remnant later...
