"meh"
Not even one of Rocky's better cigars. The IT Super Fuerte is a better smoke at a much better price. One-dimensional flavor and no finish until the last 1/3 and then finally there is an aftertaste--bitterness. What a letdown.

"May have caught a bad stick"
From the moment I took a cold taste after cutting, I knew something was up. The draw was looser than sucking air through a short drinking straw. Being very careful not to over heat the cigar, the flavor was very impressive, yet more mild then I was expecting from a corojo. Sure enough, the cigar began to tunnel very quickly. To sum it up, I battled the cigar all the way to the last quarter. Apparently it was rolled horribly and no matter what i did and how many times I tried to correct the burn, the cigar tunneled in the exact same spot in the filler. I'm glad I only paid 2.50 for this cigar (in a large sampler) and that I have the same cigar in its robusto size. I must end in saying, however, that the flavor was the only reason I remained patient enough to endure the constant correction of the burn. The tunneling even helped me appreciate the great balance the filler has when the binder and wrapper smoke comes into play. In the few moments the cigar burned correctly, I got the taste of a peanut shell. Close to nutty but more sharp and salty than sweet nutty, if that makes sense at all. I hope the robusto doesnt have the same construction problem. My rating numbers are reflective of the overall affect the tunneling had on my smoking experience.

"Oh Yea!"
Wow I love the Corojo over the Mad to my own surprise. The flavor just hit the spot and while no shift throughout, I loved it to the nub. At this price it is no every day stick on my budget. Come on Rock, through a dog a bone. It needed more time in my humi but I am weak.

"Smooth"
What a great stick. The wrappers are thick and silky to the touch with a pleasing prelight aroma. I picked up 10 of these on a special with CI and they are very consistent. Although these are advertised as full they start mild-medium and build gradually to the light side of full. The warm and pleasant aroma was amazing. A nice round smoke.

"One of the better RP smokes"
As 'density' said in his review, these are 5x54, not 4x54. However, 54 RG seems like a stretch, these are more like 52 at best. Lit the first one up yesterday and it was a good smoke. I couldn't pick out any flavor notes, but it was enjoyable. However, from time to time, the cigar got bitter. After I purged it, it got a lot better. The ash was a mixture of dark and light gray, not very firm. Total smoke time about 80 minutes. I was happy to try it at $4.00 a piece, but would have been upset if I paid retail.

ive now had several of these can say they are a cut above the rest of the RP line. construction is good, no burn probs, interesting taste, but the price is alittle nasty for a 5 inch torp. i bought a box of 50 so god knows how long ill be smokin these! maybe til 2010.

"Another great RP"
Purchased one of these from my local about a month ago and finally pulled it out today. Kind of a short smoke for being a torpedo. More of a robusto with a pointed head and a rounded box press. Silky smooth wrapper with a solid cap. Gave this one a quick snip and got to work. The first thing I noted was the draw, absolutely perfect. I was given ample volumes of thick, chewy smoke with only a small amount of effort on my part. The burn, while not razor sharp, didn't require any assistance from me at all. Rich notes of leather and coffee on the finish. As one reviewer said earlier there was something else in there as well but I can't quite put my finger on it. Smoked this one down to less than an inch and never once had it get hot on me. My only gripe about this stogie would be the price. $8.50 for a 45 minute smoke isn't exactly a bargain in my book and will probably put these into the "every now and then" category for me. Overall, I really enjoyed this cigar. Should you find yourself with a $10 burning a hole in your pocket definitely give one of these a try.

"Good one from RP"
This nicely shaped cigar has a beautifully silky wrapper. They're 5 inches long, not 4 as stated above. The draw and burn are both pretty good. A bit of a slow starter, after it warms up woody flavors turn more creamy with a nice subtle spiciness. Personally I think the maduros have better, richer flavor, but these are good too. Expensive for the size, however.

"fantastic"
Spicy beginning. Easy draw, many touch-ups necessary. That being said - this is an excellent cigar. I got cocoa and spice throughout but there was something else. It was an aroma/flavor I never experienced before (perhaps an "Olde World" element?). I want to call it lavender but I'm not quite sure about that. In either case it was slightly "perfumey" but not at all in a bad or flavored (which I don't favor) way. VERY enjoyable. Must be tried by all.

"awesome"
Just a great cigar, probably the best RP product to date. Smooth all the way to the nub. Medium bodied, very rich, complex, and balanced. A little pricey at msrp, but I got a few in a well priced sampler.

"Phenomonal Corojo"
Between the two OWR's, I prefer the corojo and this is an excellent example of the tobacco. More mild than the maduro, it gives a thick, leathery smoke with a great finish. Lovely wrapper on it and a rock solid ash.

"Not worth the price"
What is going on with RP. Love the Edge and the Vintage lines. These "Old World" smokes are over priced and taste very young. Smoked several, one was plugged. Not a fan.

"Good cigar!"
The one RP I like. I buy them whenever I see them. I prefer the corojo over the maduro. At first I was smoking the maduro then a retailer showed me the corojo and said he liked them better. I agree. The wrapper gives a better flavor. Not as spicy and more cuban like.

If you havent gotten your hands on this less promoted wrapper please try one even if your not a fan of the maduro version.
