"Yes! (as in, close to the edge)"
Perfect draw, straight burn, crazy-long ash, and a solid feel in hand make this a wonderfully constructed cigar in my book. Complex flavors from the get-go: sweet, fruity & woody, developing into some caramel and bread notes at midstick, with a definite spicy kick for the entire second half. Earthy, creamy finish, but it had an oily mouthfeel. Definitely medium/full body, but didn't seem to be as strong as advertised. Nubbed, and will do it again!

"What a cigar!"
Really...what a cigar! Beautiful well grown wrapper, no blemishes, no scars just perfect. This is one of the best burn cigars I've smoked in a long long time. Cigar burns evenly and draws excellent. Great flavor with rich leathery aroma. I've heard a lot about this cigar and after trying it, I had to agree.

"Shows promise."
I liked this one except for the occasional hint of under aged tobacco. It would smoke well for several puffs and then it would taste green and tart. I will try again in a month.

"A Good Bargain. Albeit Inconsistent."
I consistently go to Rocky Patel's Edge and almost every time the experience is a bit different. Sometimes I get a flawless middle brown wrapper and at other times I get wrappers with slight flaws and discolorations. Construction though, is consistently good and The Edge features a solid, tight roll with no soft spots. Lighting is effortless and The Edge takes to a flame with zeal, producing a nice deep red cherry quickly with almost no touch-ups required. The draw is easy and always fills the mouth with large amounts of smoke. In the taste category, I have noticed inconsistency. At best, smoking The Edge is a wonderful ride that opens up with a blast of spice and pepper and slowly mellows to a medium/full leathery, caramel tinged smoke. At worst, the Edge can leave the smoker feeling as though he is sucking on lemons and grass—as if you were smoking an immature stick. Although slightly inconsistent in flavor, at its best, The Edge is a wonderful experience. And generally speaking, The Edge scores most of the time and for the price it’s worth a bad stick here and there.

"High side of medium"
This is a very solid, worthy "go-to anytime" cigar.
Going in to this smoke, I was, as many others have expressed, surprised to find a much more mellow flavor than is advertised for these cigars. Luckily, it is a deception that proves to be for the best. At first draw, the spiced flavors hinted that the leaf would grow bolder, but instead it mellowed through the 2nd third, with just the right amount of woody tinge to flavor the palate. I had a glass of Jack single barrel to accompany it, which turned out to be almost too strong for the "knock you on your butt" cigar. A very pleasurable smoke.

"Solid Medium Bodied Smoke"
Excellent construction and a nice smooth medium bodied smoke. I was expecting something a little "edgier" along the same lines as the maduro, but this one seems a little more sedate. That's not a bad thing necessarily. A nice aroma with some cereal like accents. My baseline for corojo is the Camacho corojo, which I think is far bolder than this Edge. I was expecting more spice, but this is a good cigar nevertheless.

"a perfectly constructed, unique smoke."
The construction of this was impeccable. A nice smooth brown corojo wrapper with some medium veins around a consistently firm smoke. The light was easy with a flawlessly even, slow burn the entire length - something for all rollers to aspire to. There was no tunneling, or runners and it never "got soft." The initial flavor was a bit rough with earth and black pepper dominating the palate. This quickly gave way to juicy black cherry and aromatic cedar notes, which stayed for most of the smoke. There were some fleeting moments of chocolate and spicy. A great smoke afte a meal.

Beautiful Corojo wrapper, perfect structure and smoke. The flavor is great, but the strength is not enough to knock me out. For the price, there is no better.

"Rest has done good"
This smoke had about a year in my humidor. It has mellowed a bit, which definitely makes it more smokeable. The flavor still isn't there, though. I had a CI Legends by Rocky a couple weeks ago that was heads & tails above this for good corojo flavor. This smoke just tastes the same throughout, with a nice aroma (pretty cedar-y), and a "dry" taste. Draw is effortless, which gives a ton of smoke. It just needs more flavor.

"A decent cheap smoke"
I bought about 20 of these. My biggest complaint is inconsistency in flavor and burn. The one consistency was that the smoke was always bold. Those that were in the humi for several months mellowed out a little and I was able to appreciate whatever flavor happened to make an appearance that night. This was a decent ride ride for the price though.

"One of Rocky's best"
This is cigar is in my prefered flavor range of medium-full bodied cigars. It's as full bodied as the maduro version which may disappoint the full flavor fans. But it was a smooth deep cedar taste. The wrapper is very aromatic which I like. It evolves at the end to almost to the version of the maduro version. One dimensional Maybe more like two dimensional because the flavor builds up and the spicey cedar taste really pops up in the end. Take it slow and you'll notice the subtle change.

"Good cigar"
One demensional but quite good. Medium to full bodied, more to the medium side but a pretty dang good corojo with some spice that doesn't kill your pocketbook. Good construction and a even burn with just minor touchups, consistant draw throughout. Got a little spongy on the finish. Likem.

"Disappointed"
I am not an expert, but I do like a good cigar, one with full flavor and this didn’t have it. I waited two weeks to find the right time to sit down with this gar, with a beer, with the break in the heat. Its appearance was right, nicely wrapped, drew and burned evenly, but it was all smoke and no flavor. If you like mild then this one’s for you. I won’t try this one again. Life is too short, go for the gusto.

"In agreement with DrStankus"
I think this gar has just been overhyped. It was bad but it wasn't great either. No complexity and gets too hot towards the end, I think because the draw is to easy.

I tried this cigar and it was a very good cigar. Lit and the uneven burn corrected itself very quickly. Stronger cigar but incredibly smooth and great taste. Unline the other reviewers I highly recommend it.

"Where was the complexity?"
I was pretty excited to try this, as I had heard good things from people who have similar tastes to me. Not sure what the excitement is about. It was pretty good looking wrapper, draw was very easy, maybe too easy? I did find it full bodied, but I couldn't get any real flavors from it. A letdown.

"Awesome"
A solid cigar, construction and burn were fantastic. The flavor was robust and complex from start to finish, yet not overpowering. Unlike many cigars out there that are pure power bombs, this cigar balanced its strength with an abundance of flavor and complexity. You can't beat the taste or the price of these cigars.

"Kind of a letdown..."
I bought this cigar and it's maduro cousin after the shopkeeper I buy from recommended them. He's been pretty much dead on with everything else, but this corojo was a letdown. The cigar looked ok, even though they are not ringed. It was a little veiny, but it had a great wood like smell, so it seemed to be a good smoke beforehand. When I got to it, it lit unevenly, burned unevenly, and overall was kind of a pain in the butt. The taste was very woody for the first two inches, which was nice, but then it turned sour and bitter and was pretty bad. The draw was tight until I totally opened up the end, and the smoke was harsh. Overall, I wasn't impressed at all, but maybe it was just a bad specimen. I'm hoping the maduro version is better, and maybe I'll give another one a chance one day, but for maybe a dollar more you can do much better with other cigars.
