"not the same"
Last year I won a box of the old blend on cbid. I just got a box of the new blend. Nice packaging, bigger cigars. But the wrapper is not as dark and the cigar is nowhere near as flavorful. I don't know what "improvement" they made, but I'd rather have the old, unimproved cigars back.

"Boring."
How this cigar maker has managed to stay in business for 10 years is beyond me. Jose Dominguez has no taste buds. The dude just CANNOT BLEND. No depth, one-dimensional flavor. Absolutely nothing that grabs you.

"skip this one"
I won a 5 pack of these on cbid and when they were delivered I took one out to inspect the cigar just to see what its like..it just felt cheap and not packed at all. I put it in the humidor for 1 month and decided I'm going to smoke one..guess what this thing is crap. The cigar had burn issues and would not I repeat would not stay lit..I wouldnt smoke these if they were free...

"Sweet"
I saw these on C-bid and was intrigued by the story of the tobacco. I grew up in Connecticut and I can remember the tents where they grow the CT Shade plants. In the old days; before Ct Broadleaf and Shade; sailors brought seed back from Cuba and they have grown tobacco there for hundreds of years. Anyway, when I saw these for sale I had to get a box.
They're ugly, dark and veiny, lumpy looking wrappers. But the draw is good and the pre-light aroma is nice and sweet. The flavor is rich and caramel-ly. I'm a chef, and I make flan regularly. If I cook the sugar for the flan a little too long, it will turn a shade or two darker and get an intense taste. That's how these are: sweet but very intensely flavored. I like 'em a lot. You should definitely pick up a box. Not to be missed.
