"A kinder, gentler Pepin"
I got a mixed five pack of pepin cigars recently. Just tried my first blue label last night, which floored me in delight (and strength). Today I tired the Vegas Cubana. Wonderful aroma, appearence and construction...what you would expect from a high caliber $8-10 cigar. The prelight had a faint smell of cocoa/chocolate! How did I not smoke any of these in my life until yesterday? It smoked as a smooth, full flavor and a little less attention seeking than the blue label, but still with a strong Pepin punch. This cigar is among the finest in quality you will find for what you pay.

"Outstanding"
Lacks the power of some of Don Pepin's other blends, but equals the best in of them in flavor. Beautiful, even burn with a smooth draw. The construction on this is outstanding. The Corona size is particularly good in this blend since it lets the taste of the wrapper shine through. The only negative is that the half inch or so is overly peppery.

"Great"
I have smoked a few of these now, and they are great. They are milder then most of Pepin's blends, but still have a load of flavor. I would say they are a solid medium body with rich leather and creamy wood. Smoke it to the nub, baceaus the last third is better than the first

"Don Pepin intro"
Like pretty much all Don Pepin cigars, this one has a nice, dark, and oily wrapper. It has a good, slow burn and a firmish draw that is more than manageable. It's spicy and leathery, typical of his cigars, with some coffee and creamy flavors as well. Not nearly as powerful as the others, although a buzz does sneak up on you at the end. A good smoke that begs you to try his other stuff.

"Great"
I really liked this cigar. It's the first Don Pepin line I've tried and it won't be my last. The first thing I noticed is the great bouquet--always a giveaway it's a good cigar. Has a really woody pre-light smell to it. Dark golden brown stingy Corojo wrapper that smells so good, I didn't want to light it.
Filler is very spicy and full bodied. Reminiscent of a Punch (classic line) but stronger (and better). This is a strong cigar and not for beginners...moderate buzz factor here too.
Burn and construction were good; real nice long ash. The only complaint I can come up with is that the flavor really dissapeared about 1/2 way down, which is the norm for most cigars, but it may have been tainted by my quick smoking (which I tend to do if it's a really good cigar).
All in all a must try if you like other Don Pepin cigars, like strong cigars like Punch, or like Nicaraguans (although the cigar itself tastes more Honduran than Nicaraguan).
