"Looks Ain't Always Everything"
This review is of the Churchill shape in the Oscuro line and thought it might "fit" in better here than anywhere else. I didn't find the appearance nearly as impressive as those reviews of the Perfecto, but the burn rate was good and I experienced no real problems from the flaws in the wrapper. There were some cracking in the wrapper and even small pieces of wrapper that had broken off exposing the binder. Although I wouldn't call it a maduro wrapper, it is definitely on the dark side and has some of the flavor characteristics of a maduro. The strong suit of this cigar is simply the overall melding of the components that produced strongs flavors of coffee and chocolate with a bit of a spicy background.
Allthough this Churchill is not going to win any beauty contests, the overall smoking experience makes it a very decent smoke that can probably be bought on cigarbid.com for well under 2.00/stick. At a buck fifty or less, truly a bargain.

"Robusto 5 x 50."
They made a lot of cigars in this line. I tried the oscuro robusto and found it to be a little bland compared to the perfecto. Don't get wrong it's an OK maduro just didn't have quite the flavor or the kick.

"A Powerhouse!"
I think this cigar was given to me by the owner of the shop, but they were selling for $4.75. Beautiful looking perfecto, the oscuro wrapper was just dripping with oils and was a little bitter at the start, but buy the 1/3 mark I was tasting all kinds of spices including raw cinnamin and espresso. The finish was lingering and had cedar and charcoal. The burn needed to be corrected a few times, but the draw was excellent. Definitely a great bargain, whether you paid $1.50 or $5.

"Solid"
Good construction, good flavor with spice and choco/coffee on a medium body. A great maddie for the price I paid, a little less than a buck-fifty. Try one and decide for yourself.

"A looker"
This is a beautiful perfecto, with a reddish oscuro wrapper. The band is kind os plain & unexciting. Good solid construction. It starts out brutally full bodied & rough. About an inch in, it smoothes out & picks up a light sweet tone. At the 2/3's mark there is a light spice tone. Not much of a finish. The nose is the most interesting part. Definitely full bodied, but it doesn't make you choke when you French inhale the smoke.
