Trinidad (D.R.) Lonsdale

Looked good but ended up very average. I would like to try a Cuban and compare to see why this brand is so popular. The taste was just average--actually everything about it was, even the price.

An O.K. smoke. An attractive Lonsdale vitola - 6.5" x 44. Slightly rough chocolate brown wrapper with medium veins. No soft spots. Easy light but tight draw through the first 1/2 of the cigar. Started with leather and nuts and remained fairly one-dimensional. Cedar notes joined during the last half. Gray-black ash. Lasted about an hour. All in all, I thought it lacked spice and complexity. Average smoke.
