"Very good, flavorful smoke"
A nice medium to full body cigar. Nice full smoke, razor burn line and full, flaky ash. Bitter chocolate, creamy smoke with toasted nuts and coffee in the background. Very nice cigar. By far the most chocolatey cigar I've ever had.

"Better, but boring"
This cigar had been resting in the humi for about 3 months; I bought the $10 3-pack from the website. For the price it was a great value, but I wouldn't spend $8-$10 per stick for this brand. The flavor was earthy, with a little cedar and cocoa but it wasn't complex enough to hold my attention. From the look of the ads, Macanudo is trying to pass these smokes off as the new luxury cigar. I think that this is kind of like comparing a Hyundai to a Mercedes. Sure it's just as fast, and has all of the same features, but a luxury Hyundai should be compared to a Nissan Maxima, or a fully loaded Toyota, not a fine German automobile. This cigar should be compared to the likes of Don Tomas or Partagus red band not brands like Graycliff, Padron, or Ashton VSG. Cigars from these brands are truly premium cigars. That being said, the remaining 2 sticks that I have may be a good golf course gar. The nice burn and the easy taste may be better served in a golf cart, and not on a lazy Saturday afternoon among friends.

"Great Addition"
Purchased a 3 Pack off the Web Site. Am I glad I did. This is a excellent addition to the Mac line. Taste was great with an excellent burn. I was sorry when I was finished. Not your everyday cigar, but a welcome addition to my humidor.

"Pricey Homerun"
I jumped on the intro deal from Mac's website, and was glad I did, and my B&M is selling the robusto for $10.

This was the best tasting, most flavorful Macanudo I've had yet. Nice toasty earth flavors, without being really heavy. A top-notch blend of Nicaraguan and Honduran fillers.

"Solid smoke!"
I was fortunate enough to be on the tasting panel for this cigar before it was released at this year's IPCPR Show (2008). I was gifted one of these from someone who attended the who and was fairly underwhelmed. I remembered them being much different in the pre-release trials. That said, I got my hands on a box and was blown away. The boxed (released) version is actually a fantastic smoke. Great flavor, not too full, solid notes of coffee & earth with a distinctive aroma. Perhaps a little pricey for the smoke, this is a step in the right direction for the Macanudo line.

"Great flavorful smoke"
Excellent addition to the Mac line. Have always enjoyed the Mac Maduro and this one now sits atop the heap. Lot's of smoke and fantastic construction. This one smoked evenly all the way down. Fairly robust from the get-go and couldn't put it down until my fingers burned. Looks as good as it tastes with a beautiful wrapper and band.
