"Not the best"
I was gifted this and I know they sell a lot of mac's but it was my first and I won't buy one. It looked good got a few viens. The draw was good the ash held OK. Flavour was mild with no finish and toward the end it got bitter but never harsh. It was ok but I won't endorse this stick.

"Gotta good one!"
I had a Portofino that I took out of the tube and put in my humidor for a while. I read the reviews on this site and got concerned. I smoked it yesterday and I must have gotta a good one. It burned evenly and the draw was wonderful. It lasted a good half an hour, which got me thinking I should have made a cup of coffee to go with it because I could definitely taste the hint of coffee bean. Instead, I poured a small glass of port to go with the last half and enjoyed. It was very smooth and had complex flavor all the way through.

"Yo, eleven!"
Whenever I see one of these I think casino, because this is the default cigar for most of the houses on the strip. A very pedestrian cigar with no distinguishing characteristics. Bland. Watch out, you might forget you're smoking it.

"doesn't live up to its name"
This cigar didn't stand up to the Macanudo name, the draw was way too tight burn a little too uneven. Although it stayed lit very well and would probably be a good golf cigar if you pull any smoke out of it.

"Hard Work doesn't offer payoff"
Not particularly impressed with this cigar. It is too long for this gauge cigar, especially tieing that in with what a tight draw my cigar had. Had to work hard to keep this thing burning, not much smoke and just not much flavor. I can see this working for those that are new to cigars or don't want an overly agressive flavor.

"not good"
I usually enjoy the larger Macs but got this as a present so I gave it a shot, not good. It isn't worth the money paid. This one had a good drawl and burn but was bland tasting throughout. Decent ash and good amount of smoke but little harsh and tasted like paper. Dont recomend.

Horrendously grassy taste that even a full year in the humidor couldn't correct, along with the musty, dank aromas found in almost all Macanudos. This cigar is terrible.

"Sigh...."
Another poor Mac. This one started out excellent, with fine flavor, but was hard to draw (and I couldn't find any plugs in it) and turned horribly harsh and bitter at the 1/2...typical of almost all Macs I have smoked. Not recommended, especially at the premium price.

"There are better Macs"
This stick had a real tight draw, I probably burned off 500 calories just trying to get a decent amount of smoke out of it. Taste was poor, paper like, a little harsh. Not worth the $$$. Hampton Court or Prince Phillip would be a much better choice if you have your heart set on a Mac.

"Magnifico"
Simply magnificent. A smooth, silky, medium draw...a consistent burn...a surprising taste. the connecticut shade wraper is superb - the wrapper on this cigar has good texture. It burns and draws fine, releasing silky, creamy, woody and sweet flavors. Smooth, medium bodied taste. This cannot be beat.

"One of the better Macs"
I've been smoking for years and will usually reach for a stronger more full-bodied smoke, but when I want something mild-med in a long panatella, this is it. Surprisingly complex for a thin cigar, the construction is usually flawless. This and the El Rey Del Mundo Plantations are two of the best thin smokes on the market, whether you're new to cigars or an old timer.

"Just plain nasty"
This one was a gift from the people of Macanudo during one of their tour stops. It's unfortunate because this one was a terrible smoke. The draw was tight, the construction was loose, and the burn was terrible. That's just the good stuff. The taste? Absolutely horrific. Although 'smooth,' by definition, the taste was harsh, bitter, and resembled cardboard. Perhaps one of the worst cigars I've had.

"Not bad...Quite relaxing"
A tubo so completely straight as a die...pretty veined wrapper and a nice crunchy clip.
good draw in that is wasn't TOO loose, yet had loads of smoke.
Tastes pretty much like all the mac range in my opinion...Medium bodied with a pleasant well rounded taste at first with a tendency to get a little bitter towards the end.
This one was no different. First half extremely enjoyable. Second not so. The thin ring size of the portofino seems to give it a nice cool smoke in that first half...Not bad. Not great but not bad.
