"Under $3"
I have to find the right time to enjoy a med-full maduro and when I do this is a good one.

"NICE."
Better than the JJ Maduro. Cocoa, Cocoa, COCOA...with some anise and baking spice coming in toward the middle. Got a little ammonia toward the end which tells me they need rest. I can only imagine how good they will be with a 1 yr nap. As usual with DPG, draw and construction are perfect.

"decent but better to be smoked"
I guess I just dont like the aftertaste of this cigar. the construction had a few issues but nothin big. Its an alright maduro , I jusr donmt get why anyone would buy this over a Tatuaje or illusione. to each his own.

"Great Maduro!"
ASHMAN hit the nail on the head here - nice firm construction, good burn, complex mix of coffee, cinnamon and mocha, and of course the obligatory spice of a DPG. It does indeed start off with a blast of pepper and spice before gaining a nice balance. With most maduros you simply get the straightforward maduro flavor and not much else. Not here. One of the more complex and well balanced maduros I have smoked.

"Pleasant surprise."
Be ready for the blast of pepper and spicy hots during the first half inch before it begins to settle down and smooth out. Being my first DPG maduro I wasn't sure what to expect but was pleasantly surprised to find only slight traditional maduro flavor mixed with spicy cinnamon, coffee and a subtle mocha flavor that showed up at the half way point. It does become a more true maduro in the last third. A nice straight burn for a box press and it has a nice firm feel. Adorned in a dark smooth wrapper this beauty will satisfy the strong cigar lover.

"horrible"
I really liked the 601 green oscuro but was suprised on how bad this stick was from start to finish it tasted like grass( like a lawn) and after the first half of that it started to leak tar and also take on a tarry leather flavor that wasnt good. im gonna try another to see if it was a bad stick. but the one I had was no better than 7/11 cigars with an overwelming nicotine kick.

"Better than expected"
I was thinking that this would be a basic cigar. I picked them up from Thompson cigars, which I tend to be hesitant to do for reasons of suspect quality from time to time. However, this cigar was excellent in both construction and flavor. It was deeper and smoother than any smoke in this price range I've tried. I could really taste the java and coco flavors. The burn was good and the ash was a nice peppered white. Good buy

"good construction and good taste"
Smells great pre-lit and it only gets better. A very nice mix of cocoa and spicy flavor. Ash is nice and light.

"Tobacco core"
This smoke has a nice wrapper and well made cap. The foot lit even and had no soft spot to deal with. The taste was medium to full with lots of tobacco and cedar notes. The finish was smooth and had a hint of leather on it.

"True Maduro"
This has to be one of the prettiest true maduro leafs I've ever seen. This cigar is very well balanced. Tons of soft cocoa and cedar accompanies a silky smooth smoke. Better than Padron 1964 if properly aged.

"Spicy start"
Wow, this puppy starts out much like the 601 Green, mellows out rapidly. Mocha flavors, nice draw and most enjoyable with minor burn problems.

"FULL of flavor"
I tried this one on a recommendation. Granted, I only tried one, but boy was it one of my best smokes ever! I am also a maduro fan, so this one was right up my alley. Nice construction and shape. I can only sum it up as never being a dull moment with this one. It is everything you look for in a cigar regarding flavor and taste. Just be careful as it is a strong smoke. IMHO, it was better than RyJ Viejo, CAO maduros, 5 Vegas too. Pricey though.

"A well made/tasting maduro"
Sweet chocolate on the pre-light araoma, draw is easy. There is light cocoa in the first inch, then the cigar picks up with toasted nuts with a creamy slightly spicy finish. Nice tight white ash.

"Nice Nic Maduro"
Really a very fine cigar. I am a big maduro fan, but also a big Nicaraguan fan. I almost hate to see those two fight each other for taste supremacy. Done very well here. Wonderful flavor. As some mentioned, might consider these if you like PAMs. Make sure to keep them on the dry side, especially for this thick robusto. A little pricey, but definate recommend on this stick.

"True enough"
This cigar IS as advertised. It is smooth and rich and a nubber to be sure. I did balk at the price tag though. It is good, but not to the point of warranting 7 bucks a stick. There are similar smokes for far less. Try Independencia by La Aurora first.

"A very solid smoke"
Very nice construction. Nice Maduro wrapper. This one started off with a bit of spice and mellowed down about a 1/3 of the way through. After the initial spice, there were hints of chocolate and nuts. Had a few minor burn problems which required touch-ups, but nothing too problematic. Overall, a very nice smoke.

"Smooth and Flavorful"
This is an excellent example of what a maduro should be. The classic maduro flavor that is smooth. Add to that a beautiful presentation; perfect construction, and a great, even burn and you've got a wonderful smoke.

"Better than"
This cigar has beautiful construction. Pepin is the blender of the 21st century so far. I agree with all of the above when you say that it starts out with a nic spice then mellows out. If you pay close attention to this cigar, it is better than the padron 1964 by far...

"Great"
Typical Pepin to say the least. Great construction, uneven burn for the first 1/2 but it worked itself out afterwards. definitely worth the 6.50 i paid. if you like Pepin, you like this gar.

"Real Deal"
Beautiful cigar. Draw was a little tight though. Starts off with the usual Pepin spicy blast and stays for half the smoke . Then Mellows a little and the flavor develops. Nice Maduro flavor, A little sweet, Delicious.
