"Very nice smoke"
Great looks and good taste make this an enjoyable smoke. Excellent draw, but marred by the need to make small touch ups from time to time. Not quite as enjoyable as the La Fuerza. But a cigar I would buy again readily.

"Biggest dissapointment of '08"
This thing tasted bad, period. The wrapper split at the top, then split at the bottom. I got about 2 inches down and knew it was going to turn into an utter mess. Draw: Awful touch ups, flaky ash just a POS all around. I decided to try this because of the positive response here...hopefull I just got the runt of the litter, but the rating needs to be knocked down.

"Big n' Tasty"
I don't often have time for a long smoke, so I was very pleased to find that this one met all my expectations. Right off the bat, I could see it was well constructed, and the wrapper had a delightful iridescent sheen to it. Lots of pre-light peppery spice on the lips, which faded fairly quickly. Perfect draw, with plenty of rich smoke and certainly no lack of power. Very smooth and no harshness at all. Fuller in both flavor and strength than my other favorite big smoke, which is the HDM Mad. #1. Flawless, except for a few touch ups on the burn. Highly recommended.

"A great tasting Toro"
I picked up scents of honeysuckle and barnyard before clipping this cigar. There one prominent vein in the wrapper. The cap cut cleanly with a Palio. I noticed the bunching was pretty tight in the cap and loose in the foot, prelight draw was easy. The cigar felt firm and uniform along the entire length. There is a slight citrus taste before lighting.
Initial draw after toasting the foot produces some spice I've noticed in some Monte #4's with a medium tobacco flavor. This cigar produces a lot of smoke. There is a mild spice on the finish similar to some Don Pepin Cuban Classics I've smoked. The smoke blows easy not harsh at all through the nose. No additional characteristics picked up through the nose. After eating a bowl of soup, this cigar is very calming in the first part with medium body.
after the first 1/3rd there is still a nice spicy finish with a creamy and nutty flavor. This cigar leaves my mouth a little dry even paired with some cold coffee and a coke zero.
The ash is fluffy and light gray. Halfway through the burn the power picks up with the same flavor profile. The cigar remained this way until I put it down with about and inch left. A very enjoyable smoke.

"Quality Smoke"
Great sunny memorial day. This cigar was well constructed with a one large vein down it's side and a triple cap on the end. Wrapper color was a little lighter then other maduro's I have smoked. This was my 1st Pepin so my expectations were very high. I lite this sucker and was impressed by the large amounts of smoke. It started out spicy with hints of coffee and a small sugary taste. The burn was alittle uneven but never became a problem. As you can see in the picture the Ash was a nice white/grey and took forever to fall off. 2nd and 3rd part of the cigar it mellowed out losing its spicey tone but kept up with its sweet coffee profile. This also when the Nicotine kicked in. This thing hit me like a buzzsaw (ala Opus X/Gerbil). I enjoy this cigar and smoked it till it burned my fingers. In conclusion this was a great cigar

"Quality smoke..."
This is a high quality smoke that is packed full of leather, spice, and smooth soft cocoa. I smoke one everyday, and for the price, it's very reasonable.
