"A Pleasant Treat"
Not often can I afford to venture into the price range of Ashtons but in this case I'm glad I forked over the xtra $$$ to give this delicious Maduro a try. An attractive if rustic dark wrapper. Lots of heavy smoke with a consistent burn (only had to re-light once). On the milder side for a Maduro, but shows off a nice coffee and cream, chocolate, woodsy flavor profile. A relaxing 90 min. smoke that went real well with a couple of Imperial Stouts. Well worth the money

"A good consistent smoke."
A good and consistent smoke. Been smoking it since 2003 with the same consistent taste. Creamy and smooth on your pallet with a beautiful smoke texture. Nice enjoyable cigar for a lazy summer evening.

"Big Stick"
Upon first look this cigar appears like it could possibly be overwhelming. But once you light it, you are in for a surprise. Lots of flavor ranging from a minty taste to light chocolate flavors. The construction is good and it burned evenly. You'll need more than an hour to finish this smoke so find a comfortable seat and enjoy.

"YUMMY / AM I SMOKING A CIGAR OR A CAFE LATTE?"
Creamy, silky smooth texture of smoke, not what one might expect from such a rough, rustic wrapper. It almost looks like a stick that fell off a tree. Delicious. I would say a medium body. I had to look it up in my Perlman's Cyclopedia, because I simply cannot believe an all Dominican wrapper, binder, and filler could have such a complexity and variety of flavors. I would have lost a bet, because I thought there just had to be some Nicaraguan filler in there, for a cigar to have such a mixture of tastes. Toast, nuts, cream, espresso, cocoa, butter, cinnamon and nutmeg, hints of all kinds of fruits, with a slight tang which does not overpower. Damn, this is one fine cigar. In the immortal words of Frank Barone ... (from Everybody Loves Raymond) ...

"No taste"
Maybe I had a bad luck and picked the worst stick in the box. No taste, no flavor at all. Very disappointed.

"A fair smoke"
A fair smoke, but not as good as the No. 50. Solid flavors of wood and floral. A nice draw, but not a even burn.

Disappointing smoke. Too weak for such a large powerful looking stick.

As far maduros go this one is one of the milder ones out there. That said there is absolutely no lack of flavor. It is one of the smoothest smokes I have ever had.

A very mild, almost creamy flavor. Taste is consistent through the entire smoke. Burns well. The Ashton Maduro #60 is not a smoke, but is an experience to be savored.
