"a better one"
A bit of a mystery. After smoking quite a few unpleasant ones, I almost liked this! I tried dry-boxing them for a little while since the last one. Not sure that (and four months) would account for the dramatically different experience this time, but this stick was okay but for the price. Pencil lead at the outset, but then heavy on the cocoa and not nearly as dry or harsh as before. Earth and a bitter coffee note snuck in toward the end. Nothing to write home about, but I'm glad I didn't toss 'em.

"a grim two hours"
It's housed in a cool coffin, and the stick looks tantalizing. And then it turns ugly... bitter, tart, charry and papery, with a short finish. This thing just never gets going, which is quite a statement given its broomhandle length. At its most interesting, it smacks of burnt coffee. An unfortunate mistake.

"Down to the Nub"
This cigar comes in a nice little box (coffin). When I first took it out, the cigar looked like a little baseball bat, the foot being considerably smaller than the head. Although, the tapered foot served to allow for an excellent toast, light, and fairly even burn. The overall construction of the cigar is great and it has a nice easy draw. The flavor is very smooth. I didn't taste any sweetness, and very little pepper. At the start there was a small amount of cedar flavor, but after an inch or so it went away. There is a leather flavor, with a bit of some other taste that I can't identify throughout the cigar. What ever it tasted like, I enjoyed it and smoked it down to the nub. The only downside, is the cost of this smoke. I got it on CigarBid for $11.00, but I have seen them go for more. I most likely will by this one again regardless of the price.

"Great long cigar!"
When I opened the cedar "coffin" I had doubts about this cigar.
It is very dark, and it felt dry and light weight for its size.
I was worried that it would be too strong or harsh.
I lit it up at the beginning of the superbowl and was surprised - it was a terrific cigar. Medium-strong complex, tasty flavor. Perfect draw, lots of smoke. Usually I only smoke about 2/3 of a cigar since they get too hot and peppery at the end, but I loved this one so much I smoked about 7 inches of it.
Afterwards, despite the strong flavors, it left nearly no stale smoke taste in my mouth.
Great cigar, wish it were less expensive (but may buy more anyways).
