"In your face"
Nice reddish wrapper with one vien. Pre-light draw got a little nuts and cocao. At first it's polite, sweet and spicy. Then it comes at you with some power. Nuts and cocao, earth(wind and fire) and wood. The finish is sweet and nutty. The second half of this one is well balanced: spice, earth, nuts and sweetness mixing nicely. This is not a sleepy afternoon cigar; this guy gets in your face and makes you pay attention.

"let it sit"
Smoked this after a couple of years in the humi (nice to see the old band again too). This cigar mellows with age - it is still very strong but it sneaks up on you rather than blasts you away. Aroma was sublime and flavor was sweet and woody. Follow my advice and put some away.

"Like a Marriage (with a Mistress)"
A marriage of strength and smoothness with perhaps a mistress named flavor. The Monarca has a very good burn and draw, even for a shorter cigar. Let's face it the Camacho Corojo line is not the most attractive cigars in the humidor. However, the compensation is you get a full flavored, smooth cigar with flavor with a price that you can't beat. Oh, and I wouldn't smoke it on an empty stomach, but that's me.

"powerfull smoke"
A good cigar with a peppery taste before the light and a good, even power throughout. A well constructed cigar, only the cap was a little rugged and the wrapper was a little brittle. Spice and earthy taste, not to be taken lightly! I wouldn't smoke this on a daily basis, but when you want something with a kick this has it.

"WOW... feel the power!!"
This one was definately a head spinner. I am a big fan of strong cigars, but this one is STRONG. This cigar is great looking with a dark wrapper. The construction was perfect and the draw and burn were spot on for me and produced loads of smoke. Flavors of wood and pepper, with some cocoa in there. A nice spicy finish to it. I feel the flavor and the strength complimented eachother nicely. I am becomming a big fan of the Camacho line of cigars. Just head the warnings of others who reviewed this cigar... eat before smokin' it.

"strong and distinctive"
My experience with this cigar is consistent with most of the other reviewers. The Camacho Corojo is a strong cigar with a distinctive flavor. It is a nice looking, well made cigar, and the new packaging is an improvement over the old bands and boxes. It shares its filler and binder with the Camacho Havana, but this one is a Corojo 'puro' according to the manufacturer. The Havana is a little milder (but still very strong), and has a somewhat different pre-light odor. The distinctive flavor is hit-or-miss. I really like them, but one of my smoking buddies who also likes strong cigars does not care for them at all. This brand seems to benefit a lot from aging.

"Power over flavor"
A well made attractive looking smoke. The wrapper has a dark reddish hue with minimal veining. The bunching is firm, but the foot looks like its loosely packed. Conflicting but the roll is very good, producing a nice draw with good smoke volume. The chocolate colored band with gold writing is a nice complement to the wrapper color.

Prelight aroma is nothing special, not barn yard like. The initial draw is powerful nicotine and underlying spice. As with other Camachos these are power first and taste second. Its like an ERH on steroids. Smoke volume is very good and the cigar burns nicely producing a solid white ash.

To me the flavor department is lacking. These are powerful nicotine cigars with little flavor or complexity. The more I try to like them, the more I get turned away. These have nothing on the DPG line in terms of flavor.

As powerful as these taste, they are not harsh. There is a smoothness to the smoke, but I wish there was more earthiness or leather to accompany the nicotine. Perhaps its me and I’ve developed more appreciation for Nicaraguan tobacco, but the Honduran puro doesn’t do it for me flavor wise. Its very well made and smokes wonderfully, but I just don’t care for the taste and balance. Full bodied full strength, but I’ll pass.

"Should come with a seat belt"
WOOOW! I have had the joya de nic antono, and the flor dominica double ligero....but as far as sheer strength this one blew them away! The most likely cause is the fact that this cigar effortlessly pumped out huge clouds of thick, powerful smoke. After a puff of two, while sitting in the ash tray, it still was pumping out smoke all alone! A true chimney!

On a side note, the cigar had a delicious but subtle sweetness too it, top knotch cigar. I definitely recommend eating a meal before smoking this one though, its a head spinner for sure, in fact to me, its king of the head spinners.

Very nice dark, sweet wrapper. Very well constructed. Excellent burn and draw and no harshness towards the end. Very strong but the flavor seemed to be in the strength alone and not much else and then the "flavor" was rather one dimensional.

"favorite corojo"
i went into the cigar shop and asked the proprietor to make some suggestions on some corojos since i had not ever had any. of the three or four (punch rare, this maduro camacho, and a perdomo) this was easily my favorite. one warning, though, that he gave me and i think is fair...don't smoke it on an empty stomach. this one has some "meat" to it.

DO NOT smoke one of these on an empty stomach! They are a powerhouse smoke. That said, I REALLY enjoy them once in a while. They are VERY full bodied, VERY full flavored but pretty damn smooth, never getting bitter or harsh. One of the best "fuerte" cigars on the market today.

"Not for everyone"
This robusto has a solid appearance with a rich color to its wrapper. Like most Camacho cigars I've tried I couldn't get this one to burn properly, but it has a pretty good draw. It's a fairly strong and zesty smoke with lots of toasty, woody flavors and pepper that leads onto the long, spicy finish. These make my head spin a bit so I don't enjoy them as much, but I can see why others may like 'em.

"rough cap"
I thought this cigar was plugged after punching a hole and the draw was too tight. After I clipped it it was better. The cap was very brittle though and I suspect I had a bad stick that shouldn't have passed through QC. Anyway. once I got smoking I loved the flavor - a sweet maduro which lingered on the palate - a very long finish. Coffee, chocolate, cinnamon flavors presented themselves. A nice cigar which I'd like to age a bit at around 70 RH.

I smoked this one right before i was about to get something to eat, it was about to rain so i figured id sneak it in beforehand. pre-light it smelled like cow crap, badly...but construction was solid, it burnt great, never got hot, and had a nice taste, it took me about 1 hour 15 minutes to smoke this and for about the last 5 minutes i started to feel sick, after i finally finished it i was sick for the rest of the night, with intense migraines, ive smoked a variety of cigars and ive never had one make me feel like this...i doubt ill smoke again...this is why it's getting a very low overall experience

"Good-tasting, medium smoke"
I was expecting this cigar to knock me down, and the first 1/4 inch or so showed promise of doing just that. However, the bulk of the cigar was medium in strength. Some nice flavors developed at the 1/3 mark, with a distinct creaminess lasting until about the 2/3 mark. After that, it burned hot with a substantial reduction in flavor. I have one left, but at this point I'm not sure if I would buy more, especially at $4/stick.

"disappointing"
This smoke was a little rough at the beginning with the aroma of a cow pasture. However, the cigar did smooth out about half way through. The flavors ranged from earthy to spicey. The burn was uneven and the draw was worse. Overall, this was a rather poor smoking experience. I have another stick in the humi that I think I'll let sit for a while. I'll try again though.

I smoked this right after smoking a ERDM rothchild and could barely tell the difference, very similar flavor profile, thats where it ends though. Burn needed several touchups and it became quite spongy by the end. Nice balance of spice and earthyness in a medium bodied smoke that drew well.

"Another great Camacho"
Fell into this line by accident at the local TS. Glad I did. The monarca line is a very good cigar - both regular and maduro though I personally prefer the maduro. Very deep, rich flavors and satisfying for those of us man enough to finish it without turning green. This stick is definitely not for pansees - you know who you are. It's always great to have a box of these in the top of your humi. As soon as your friends open it, they remember how it kicked their #*! last time and close the lid.

"To much work"
This stick should have stayed out of the humi for a day or so to dry out. It was to soft and was had a very loose roll, this gave it a very bad burn. If you have to work a trying to relax and have a smoke than it is just to much work. The foot was re-lit 5 times and each time the taste was getting nastyer. Overall I may give it one more try. "Have you ever tackled a bear before? :)"
If cigar were animals this would be kodiak grizzly. Or as Russians say: making love to a bear is fun but scary 🙂
It is not a pretty stick, not particularly well constructed. You may experience some burn problems, it will need some relight.
Taste is great, rounded, not harsh at all, but rather even. This stick is VERY potent. Will knock you out so watch out! Smoke is thick, creamy and tones of it. Overall good, full bodied and strong cigar if you are not annoyed but some burn inconsistences. On the plus, if you are a quick smoker, you will like this one too, because it does not get hot/harsh easily and only then will stay lit.

"Very impressed"
I've been a serious smoker for about a year, smoking and experiencing well-respected cigars. As a relative novice, I hadn't heard of the Camacho Corojo when I was given a three-pack as a gift at an outing.

I smoked this robusto on a hot summer evening. Lighting was easy and even due to the near perfect draw. The first quarter of the cigar was pleasant; it was strong, but not overbearing.

I wanted to smoke it slow, and the cigar allowed me to do that. Taste was good; crisp and summery.

I drank nothing with the cigar, yet I was left with a smooth, relatively dry pallet. That was perhaps the most impressive attribute. It's a treat when a cigar doesn't leave you spitting like a camel.

My only complaint is that the cigar began to burn inside out near the band, but the finish was still a great taste. Appropriate strength.

A+ cigar.

"I'm in love"
One of the best robustos I've found lately. And a great price for the taste. These are bordering on strong, full flavored, but keep smooth enough throughout to make you want more. Hints of sweetness followed by some charred flavors--makes it interesting. At times I feel like it's going to be strong then it smooths again. Can't say it's as strong as some say--but definitely enough. Well constructed and consistent. Camacho is growing on me and this is the best corojo I've had so far. Definitely worth several tries and perhaps a permanent home in the humidor. BTW--celo wrapped is best. That wrapper loses taste when aired or in with a lot of other sticks.

"Best N/C cigar made"
I have smoked 3 boxes of these and they are the best N/C cigar made. You cant beat the price either. This is the first and only non-cuban I have had that even somewhat resembles the richness and complexity of a cuban cigar. The construction is better than most cubans, excluding EL's. I love the uniform roll and the slightly flattened cap. They burn perfect every time for me. They are decent fresh out of the box but give em 6 months or a year in the humidor and then dry box them at 65 or so. You will have one hell of a smoke on your hands. I discovered the dry box thing by accident. In a pinch you can just leave them out for a few hours. The 11/18, 07/05, and the diploma are the only ones that compare to this and they are also 100% corojo made by camacho. I highly recommend these to any SEASONED cigar smoker. I hated these as a noob. To the guy who likes gran habanos better - you are nuts. I have smoked several boxes of each and although the GH corojo no 5 is a good smoke, this one beats it by a mile!

"Somewhat disappointing."
With all the hype surrounding the new crop of Corojo wrappers, I expected something very cubanesque. Unfortunately I think they really need to be stored in cello at the store's humidor, as this one was medium to mild with a toasty but gritty flavor. I am giving it an average rating overall, because I can sense some excellent flavors, just muted by excessive open-air aging. It takes a seriously robust cigar to stand up to the changes in humidity from the walk-in's door being opened all the time. This one doesn't have that robustness.
