"Not as good as the Natural"
I certainly didn't enjoy this as much as the natural SLR or the other Camacho lines. It's okay, but I would not buy again. The problem was mostly with the taste or the lack of it.

"Great Cigar"
Decided to get a couple at auction after reading reviews here.. A great decision.
This is a full bodied cigar easily worth more than I paid (~$3.70). I usually prefer long cigars (6.5-8") but this is definitely an exception. I burn my fingers smoking every last inch out of these. Great construction and burned well the whole way down. A solid hour's worth of heavy, flavorful, copious smoke.
My only advice: take your time smoking it. Definitely made their way into my regular rotation.

"really enjoyed this one"
Smoked one OTT. I don't normally do a review after just one, but it was that good. Smooth, cocoa backed up with cedar. Near perfect burn. Nearly burnt my fingers. I'm looking forward to the rest of them

"Add a little smoothness"
This got some serious humidor time and gained smoothness accordingly, without losing flavor. This is a nice cigar and Camacho is a line that is always quality. Can be found for a good price as well.

"Strength with flavor"
I decided to smoke this one late in the morning, but in retrospect I should have waited until after dinner. This is a full bodied smoke, but not so overpowering that I did not enjoy the leathery flavors and tons of smoke that poured out of this baby. I do not know if 5 bucks is right for this cigar, but for once in a while I will take one of these.

"All Saints Day Treat"
I took the day off to relax and planned on smoking a long one. But I ended up in a muddy hole helping my father with an emergency waterline leak. So when I finally got the time to kick back I had to pick a short one. I called up the SLR. Uh, mine was shy of the 5” mark. Short changed I guess. Everything about this cigar was just fine. It had a nice maduro flavor with coffee and spice, and it made tons of smoke. A little bit of canoeing. I paired it with a perfect home brewed summer ale compliments of my good, gadget-obsessed buddy. Sad thing was my duties of father stepped off the school bus just a little over half way in, so I sat the SLR maddie down and let it go out. Epilogue: I went out after dark and lit it back up hoping like a filthy beggar that it would still taste good. Oh the horrors. Even if it burns a corpse is a corpse and tastes as such.

"Leather and spice, very nice!"
Smooth leathery flavor with some woodiness, cedar and spice. Full bodied but not harsh. Not complex but enjoyable. Nice basic smoke.

"It's ok"
Nothing great, but a decent smoke. It had very good construction and burn with a nice ash. Flavors of earth spice and some wood. A little strong smoke that should be smoked on a full stomach. A nice dark oily wrapper with that sweet maddie taste to it.

"Long on strength"
But short on flavor. As a fan of Camacho's Corojo and Havana lines, I have to say I was disappointed in the SLR maddie. The dominant flavor seems to be graphite, with a touch of char. Just the slightest touch of sweetness, but not what I expect from a maduro at all. On the plus side, very good construction. Burned straight as a laser with a nice draw, at least up to the 50 yard line when I had to throw it to the curb.

"Mediocre"
This cigar started out spicy and moderately full maduro flavor, and quickly turned medium+ in body with a dominant maduro flavor. Unfortunately the maduro quality was pretty mediocre at best, others with a dominant maduro flavor are much better, like the CAO Mx2, RyJ Reserve Maduro or Torano 1959. It improved a bit near the half, but at 2 inches turned mild and harsh. For the $6 this was very disappointing, eclipsed easily by cheaper cigars from other makers.

"Salty dog"
Nice dark maduro that has a bit of a salty sweetness. Very good draw and burn accentuate this powerful little smoke. Mellows just a bit on finish. Multitude of flavors that tickle the palate. Want more of these little beauties. Look forward to aging some of these.

"Good maduro flavor"
No. 20 in Cigar Aficionado's top 25 cigars of 2004. The wrapper is dark, oily and very toothy. It burns a bit unevenly but it requires no relighting or retouching; the draw is fine and the ash is solid and white. It's earthy and sweet, with a nice range of flavors that include black coffee, nuts, and minerals. The finish isn't very long, but it's sweet and nutty. A bit pricey for a short smoke, but not too bad if you can buy at close to the MSRP.

"a ok smoke"
This stick had a nice appearance and good spicy flavor yet the construction needed some work. The notes were dry and woody with some leather on the finish. A ok smoke nothing to rush out and buy.

"Decent Smoke"
Most of the prior posts are mixed at most. The is really a nice Viota. I give A's on construction and draw. The wrapper is dark and oily with small veins. The aroma was great and burned laser sharp. The notes developed and were pleasing. Roasted nuts with a hint of spice. I think justice could be done for this blend in longer versions. But as one poster said the value is really not there, I paid $7.00 to sample. IMHO they are still a great smoke. Plenty of oils in the wrapper will help them age, but will also mellow, as they are mild to mid in body. Will post again if and when the larger samples are made available. I know that those will be very decent at the right price. Try and post.

"Little Spice"
Spicy and toothy for the initial burn. Short dry finish throughout smoke with hints of walnuts.
Good ash, good even burn

"Cuban like flavor"
This one is very close in flavor to a couple of the stronger cubans I have smoked. You will find white ash on this and not the grey of a cuban. Great flavor, burn, draw etc. Nice oily wrapper. A great value also compared to the 10.00 a smoke Cuban I found this simular to and worth it.

"Nothing too exciting here"
Not a bad smoke, as short maduros go, had a solid bit of flavor and nice constuction, but because the cost higher than CAO Brazilias and other short maduros out there (Fire), the value in this one is lacking. Construction is OK, cap cracked on punching, but that didn't hurt smoking (in a 70 humidor for months, so it wasn't dry) and the draw was fine. I had a bunch of 2 dollar cigars that I like more though.

"good but not quite there"
This cigar had some of the best construction I have ever seen. A rock hard, tightly packed, maduro beauty with a perfect draw. The flavor was a bit of a dissappointment though. Many people describe smokes as creamy and this was definitely not that. A nice little bite but pretty one dimensional. Good aroma. Just not really what I was hoping for in the flavor departmen. For that reason alone, I gave it an overall rating of 6.

"You'll like this..."
This is one of the best young cigars I've smoked, it had no youthful bitterness. The flavors were rich, burn was even, and overall it's an impressive smoke. I just wish they made these maduros in the larger vitolas, the smoke went too fast.

"Tasty Treat"
Aesthetically appealing with a dark oily wrapper that is constructed well.....good draw that burns a great white ash that reached 2/3rds of the way through the smoke before falling off naturally. Flavors are relatively complex with hints of roasted nuts, chocolate, and some slight peppery undertones. Worth another smoke for sure.
