"original release black"
I got this from a friend, it was an original release black from 2001. I thought since it was sitting this thing should be good. It really showed the age too. Its prelite draw was nice and sweet. It started off fairly sweet but that went away. Its burn was very good and the ash held on nearly 3 inches. There was NOOOO flavor. Tasted way to blan for me. I cant say i enjoyed it at all.....

"My favorite CAO"
Having tried cigars from the entire rest of the line, I really like this line the best. The cigar started out medium in body and gained some strength around the middle, never more than med/full though. It was toasty with oak and cedar (not surprising considering the wrap), nicaraguan earthiness, and added some nice cocoa bits in the second half. It had a good burn and was never harsh, even when burning my fingers with the nub. A definite pick in the $5 range.

"Needs more time"
The wrapper was some what pale and a little on the dry side, with some veinyness to it. The cap had a fine construction to it and cut with ease. The construction was also a little hard but the good thing is I did not find any soft spots that would cause any uneven burns. The ash was a dark gray and solid, with the foot lit, it held a nice perfect burn, with no re-lighting. The draw was smooth with lots of smoke. The taste were in the medium to full with some bitterness at the start than it cooled off. The notes were of some earth and wood. The aroma was ok and the finish was a little bland. I must say CAO has a nice presentation of its smokes. This is not a bad smoke just could use some more time in the humi.

"CAO cood du better"
This a good cigar. Peppery, toasty beginning and suitable strength and flavor throughout. But hey it,s a CAO it should have many complimentary characteristics. Kinda reminds me of the Camacho SLR, a weak little sister of it's big brothers.

"Above average"
This is one of my favorites from CAO, though I have to admit I am a fan of spicy, peppery cigars, and this one does not disappoint. Starts off spicy and full, then becomes a smooth medium-bodied smoke that gives you a range of great flavors all the way down to the end. Highly recommend.

"peppery"
For being wrapped in cedar this has a very mild cedar quality in the taste. The main flavor is pepper, a very spicy cigar that has a mild cedar component but there is, to me anyways, very little tobacco flavor in this cigar. If you like those two flavors you'll like this cigar. Nice contruction and very even burn

"One of the best"
This cigar is one of the best available. If you like a flavorful cigar, this is the one for you. It is medium-bodied to the core. Every 1/3 you get a new flavor profile from woodsy-vanilla. The finish is great. The best value on the market.

"Very GOOD cigar"
Not great, but very good. Flawless construction and good spice for this medium bodied smoke. The Brazilia line is much better. I tried these smokes from a 5 pack, but would not buy a box. Smoke a Fuente Chateau instead.

"beatifully absent"
I loved the look, draw, and smoke. Where is the taste, way too mild for me. Ionly got hints of the CAO flavor. very over-rated in my eyes, I will stick with their other sticks.

"tweaked blend"
A nice stick that is similiar to CAO Gold. It's as if the blender tweaked the blend up a notch & chose a darker wrapper, with an en cedro presentation.

"Pleasant Suprise"
Not knowing what to expect is sometimes a benefit. This med-full bodied smoke had a peppery, spicy overtone that started from the first couple of puffs. Though the finish was a little weak, the start is a bang!
