"Scored Big After a Year"
Last year, I was disappointed with this cigar. Being a college soccer coach, I had to give a cigar with the name "Brazilia Gol" a second chance. So last night under the stars, after our first win of the 08 season, I fired one up. Well, with 17-18 months of humidor time, this cigar has become what the name implies. The appearance, burn and draw were excellent and the taste was unique and impressive. This was my last one, so I guess that means at least another year, before I can enjoy another? I believe that's what is called the "down side".

"box press..."
I stumbled on a great deal on the brazillia box press. This was a young, just from the B&M cigar that was bitter sweet with coffee and leather galore. It provided volumes of smoke. I think at msrp this would be an ok cigar and one that i would buy on occasion. At the price i paid this would be a go to all day any time smoke.

"CAO Brazilia - Possibly the best of CAO"
If you like dark cigars with a lot of character, you'll like the brazilia on any level. I've found the sizes to have consistent flavor, even the cariocas.
You're going to taste a lot of dark chocolate, coffee, and spice. I always say, if brazilian music had a flavor, it would be this cigar - Sort of rambunctious and sweet. This cigar is comparable to the Rocky Patel Edge, or Torano Virtuoso, though it possesses a slightly more aggressive character.

"A bittersweet experience"
A good cigar, loved the flavor and aroma. Sweet and rich, with a hint of spice. Light gray ash, but not very firm. Everything was going great, but at the halfway mark the wrapper split and I had to take it off completely. Even with no wrapper, the cigar smoked well and the flavor was still pleasant!

"Carnival Time!"
This has to be one of the very best looking cigars on the market. I also have found the flavor to be to my liking, and have not experienced a single problem with draw or construction. A pleasurable experience from initial 'ignition' to final 'flame out', ample smoke, long ash, and fairly consistent throughout. I would consider this to be an 8.5 or better, and while the price is a bit on the high side, you'll find several in my humidor right now. A great partner for a relaxed evening smoke, and in my book, another CAO masterpiece.

"Decent Cigar"
I like the look of the cigar the most. It burns good and has a nice flavor. Toward the end of the cigar it gives a burnt taste that is a bit much for me. I find that with most CAOs if you leave in the humidor a bit longer they are better.

What was once a firey chili pepper of a smoke has been reduced to a pedestrian cigar with dashes of greatness overwhelmed by the flavor of selling out. Bring back the old blend! Restore the spice! We want flavor not lifestyle!

This is a nice cigar and i am not even a big fan of the dark maduro wrappers. Tasted spicy with a lot of other flavors that resulted in a rich complex smoke with enough kick to keep me awake. Good construction, draw and burn made it a satisfying cigar,i am buying more for sure.

"different than last time - less spicy"
I understand the blend has been changed since I smoked this last. If so, it would explain why it was considerably less spicy. I miss that. Still, it is a delicious cigar. Medium body and strength. Lots of smoke, strong ash, delightful aroma, slight spice, nice coffee and wood flavors. Looking forward to the toro next.

"Started great...ended dull"
First time I've tried this cigar. I've been looking at it at my local B&M. Beautiful looking, smelling cigar on prelight. Started out spicy. Definitely woke up my palate. About half way through it mellowed and became dull. At the beginning I thought this was going to be an all-star smoke. Decent smoke, would probably by more and leave them in the humi for a while

"Not Brazil ....USA"
I guess you'll have to shoot me. After almost 6months in my humidor I had high expectations for this dark beauty. Being a college soccer coach and international soccer fan with a name like Gol I thought this stick would score big in every catagory. I waited until my first win of the season and then sat down under the stars one night to savor a Gol. I was quite disappointed. It was a beautiful, well-constructed cigar like most CAO's, but the taste was good, not great, not fabulous not even very good. Just good. I will say it was complex with many flavors. I just wasn't wild about any of them. If you remember the last World Cup the USA Team had a lot of hype but couldn't deliver big. This cigar reminds me more of that team then the terrific teams of Brazil.

"Not Bad"
OK if you are looking for something with full flavor. Wrapper is dark and well constructed. Flavor was one-dimensional, primarily expresso and leather. One sweet note of caramel. Burn was even and produced a nice ash. Generated lots of smoke but I found the draw a little loose. Wasn't as earthy as I liked, meaning it left little on palate besides the leathery taste.

Here's a cigar that more than lives up to its reputation! Absolutely beautiful dark wrapper offset by a fun, colorful wrapper. Pre-smoke aroma is rich and inviting, and once lit, the flavors get even better. Complex flavors with a really pleasant, rich sweetness. "These just keep getting better."
Nine more months of box time and the flavors are getting even better. I didn't think that was possible because the flavor was excellent two weeks after I laid this box down. Although last nights stick burnt unevenly and turned a bit harsh in the last half-inch (what cigar doesn't?) everything else was top notch.
This is one artfully blended, smooth, tasty, and attractive maduro. I bet this is in everyone's top 25. I currently have it at 19. Once again, a must have cigar for your box. Value rating based upon $4.

After the tremendous dissappointment that was the CAO Italia, the Brazilias I've had have redeemed CAO in my eyes. A few veins on the wrappers. Construction and appearance are among the best I've ever experienced. The flavor was a bit too spicy for the first half dozen draws or so, but after that, smooth as silk. Lots of thick tasty smoke. "Intimidating, but great!"
For the most part, a ring guage of 50 is about it for my comfort zone. I received this cigar in a promotional pack from Thompson. This was the last one I smoked, because of the large size I figured I was in for a headache. I was wrong. This cigar was manageable and was smooth as silk. The flavors were full of spice and even a little fruit! The draw and burn were perfect as well. I still doubt I will purchase these unless a great deal comes along. It is just that my Dor space is just too limited. Man, I need to invest in a cabinet humidifier or walk in humidor...oooo...that would be great.

Have been dying to try these. Had to wait a few weeks until one of these sticks was ready. Last night one was. Nice shiny dark wrapper, stick was just right to the touch. Prelight aroma was nice but very different. I smelt the jungle in this. Started out very mild with some expresso and pepper cool mild overtones. The gobs of smoke experience was mild to medium in body and power to me. The overall taste was nice...a tad one dimensional but it was a dimension I thoroughly enjoyed. Basic coffee, pepper, spice, some jungle wood. This stick also burnt and smoked like a champ. I left it for more than 5 minutes to talk on the phone. When I came back she was still going. Stick lasted an hour and 20 minutes. Finish and aftertaste was suprisingly rich and full...kind of snuck up on me. Just one Damn fine smoke here.

A nice solid stump of tobacco. Prelight this smells almost as rich as the Rocky Patel Sun Grown. Like a well tended old boot. Mmmmm... First light shows very good construction, which stayed fine to the end. A rich, but not very complex flavor-- similar to, but deeper, than an ERDM robusto. The finish is a little tarry for my taste. The band says "Feito a mao" which my very best Brazilian buddy tells me means "Feet of my Mother." Makes perfect sense. Here's looking at you, Ma!

This Stout Stogie has a dark and beautiful wrapper, with a large ring. The larger ring allowed the flavors to balance out, and tempered the wrapper keeping it a mid body smoke. CAO always has a good presentation, with flawless construction and burn, and the ring on this stick resembled a soccer jersey befitting of Brazil. Each new CAO I try is a uniquely, pleasurable experience. As far as I’m concerned CAO is the best and most consistent cigar manufacturer currently on the market, they never disappoint. Sure, there are better cigars out there, but the entire CAO line is superb quality, and there are no dogs that I’ve found yet. Now on to the Italia line stay tuned…

"Middle of the road..."
This is an OK cigar, marked for me by the collision of two opposites. It is very flavorful, and with some very nice flavors, but it lacks richness and subtlety. I kept wanting more form it...more smoke, more volume, more richness and creaminess. It refused to budge. It happily offered up a nice inoffensive mix of coffee and cocoa, but that was it. Nothing more, nothing less. Kind of a shame in such a big bold shape and label.
On the construction side it was very nice, obviously well rolled, firm and even from end ot end, and a respectable burn. I just kept wishing it was more than it was.

"Tasty"
These cigars are great...not just for the price, but they do the trick nicely. The Brazil wrapper gives it a unique taste and the draw is just right. Almost unbeatable at the price.

"Wonderful, But Uneven burn"
Great Cigar. Bought a box 3 weeks agao, and put them in the humidor. Today, I tried the first one, and thought it was wonderful. The flavor and complexity were first rate, but I had one of those nagging uneven burns. I burned my fingers finishing it. I hope the uneven burn problem is a"few in the box" problem. However, the smoke was great and overcame the construction issues.

"WOW"
I lit this up while I was cutting the grass. I got about 3-4 mins into my grass mowing and I thought, "WOW". I quickly turned off the lawn mower and pulled up a chair. I wanted to enjoy this chocolate beauty unimpeded. Wonderful smoke with chocolate and coffee on the tongue. From start to finish, this stick had an easy draw and balanced smoke. This was a cool burner, giving me an hour of smoking delight. Much to the chagrin of my wife who was expecting me to cut the grass. This is a must for anyone who enjoys maduros. This robusto kicks ass.

"Tasty Smoke"
It started off with a little spice and became a wonderful aromatic cigar. It has a chocolate base taste and you could just tell this cigar was loved by the aging on it. I recommend

"Brazilias are wonderful"
This is a wonderful smoke, and with all Brazilias it has an amazing aroma to it and a great taste. The cigar looks great, but I have had a few that burnt unevenly, though it hasn't been much of a problem.

"A must have"
This cigar is a must have in any humidor. The fat ring size and lovely dark wrapper you almost want to eat it. The notes are just lovely with spice and coco, the burn was very even till the very end. A must have every day smoke.

"inconsistent"
I was very excited to try a few of these dark beauties but was disappointed overall. Very inconsistent burn from one to the next. CAO needs to work on quality control. Flavor was pretty good, but the thing turned my mouth black. Not talking a little. A lot. Looks to me like CAO has enhanced these "dark" wrappers. Dye anyone?

I enjoyed this smoke as it is very flavorful and complex in the tastes it delivered. Smoked it all the way down.
Downside - Had uneven burn problems and was a little hot at times.

"Nice spice."
Good looking, great tasting, strong and spicy. CAO has put together a great line here. Burns a bit uneven at times, but great in the evening with a good beer or strong drink.

"Almost a Cuban"
It had been in the humidor for 2 months, it looked beautiful but burned slightly unevenly...it smoked away on a Sunday evening, gone but not forgotten. What a beautiful cigar, full of flavour; it tasted (almost) like a cuban, which isn't faint praise....

Always consistant. IMO C.A.O's best! Medium to full with intense flava that really mellows down 1/2 way thru. Not for the mild fans.

"Wow..neat surprise"
I've smoked for 20 years. Not sophisticated where I taste nuts, coffee, leather, coco and all that. I smoke like some people drink beer. They never say it tastes like oats, hops, clover etc. It just tastes good like this cigar. Excellent CIGAR flavor.

"Don't need Cuba"
Man, what can I say, this is the 23rd review. I keep about two box's on hand. This cigar has a floral spicy smell with never a bitter after taste. Flavor is light but these (To me) smell almost like an aromatic cigar. I don't like CAO as a whole, but I'll always buy this cigar.

"Great robusto"
The Brazilian line is one of CAO's best and this cigar is no exception. Smooth, spicy, rich and sweet. As good as the Amazon only shorter. Great construction appearance and burn. A truly great, top shelf robusto.

"Maybe Best Ever"
I was astounded by this cigar. I was looking for the Piranha, but my store only had Gols, so I took one.
Supposedly, the wrapper is natural, but it looks like something between a colorado and a maduro. Guess that's because it's that weird Brazilian tobacco.
It's fat, at 5 x 56. Feels hard, but not box pressed.
Took a while to get it lit, but it burned beautifully, at least until I got halfway down, where it started to go a little off course. Perfect white ash. Thick smoke.
If I had not known it was a CAO, I would have assumed it was a Cuban, although it doesn't look like one. The closest thing to it in my experience is a Romeo y Julieta EL Exhibicion #2. It has the same chocolaty taste, and a good dose of spice. Very complex.
Somewhere between the taste of a maduro and a natural.
It got slightly bitter at one point, but it cleared up, and I smoked it until I could no longer hold onto it. It lasted around 50 minutes. When I finally put it down, I stared at it for a minute and wondered if it had really been that
good.

"Yum"
Tasty smoke, only problem is that it's too small -- I smoked it to the nub in no time. I'll stick with Amazons so the experience lasts longer, but if you are in the mood for a relatively short smoke, this won't disappoint. Rich, dark wrapper, thick smoke, excellent burn. Viva Brazilia!

"Move over Carnival..."
For someone who has not fell in love with any of the other CAO products, this one stole my heart. Deep spice and dark wood. Toasted cherries with chocolate sauce and nutmeg sprinkled ontop. Line your humidor with this one if you like full flavor.

"Very Nice"
Okay well after raving about the Amazon, this guy comes in 2nd. The Samba (yet to write the review) is third. What can I say a very nice cigar, powerful, medium to full bodied, Very GOOD draw, not tight at all, good thick white ash, the only problem I have had was tunneling, and even after relighting it tunneled again. But stilll a very nice cigar ( tasted two of them and both tunneled). Outside that great little/big cigar.

"Spicy"
What a find, this cigar looks like it means business. Very good looking with a rich dark wrapper with nice veins. The Go is a tightly wrapped, and is meticulously constructed. I couldn’t wait to smoke this one. After cutting the Go, I took a draw, unlit, and it was far too easy to pull through almost just like breathing. After I lit this one up I had to slop it up a bit to make it draw a bit harder, this all worked itself out after getting about 2 inches into the cigar. Massive amounts of flavor and spice, it ran the gamut with peppery, coffee, nutty, and chocolate overtones. A little too much spiciness for my pallet, but very exciting (like eating hot wings that are too hot for you). The Go burned perfectly and held an ash almost 2 inches. This one got hot on me a little early, but had consistent flavor too the end. For sure the most powerful CAO I have tried yet. I give this one a buzz factor of about a 7. I bought this one from a local retailer for $6.50 reading about them in a cigar catalog. BOTTOM LINE: big flavor, very spicy, dark, solid, full power, this one is all business.

"Egads! Another A+ Maduro."
Must have died and gone to heaven. I thought the Partagas Pyramid was good. This one is even better. Just like the Energizer Bunny. This stick keeps going and going. Hated to put it out. This one has a flavor that reminds me Hersey Bar and Man! Do I love Chocolate; especially towards the end. In my book, close to a 91.

"DOWN BOY"
Beautiful construction. Rock solid. Slightly veined. Nice cut.
Incredibly easy draw on it, almost too easy at first. The thing was literally smoking itself for the first inch. More smoke than on any cigar I've had to date.
It settled down as the cigar warmed up and left it as a powerful spicy tasting nutty toasty smoke with, still, huge quantities of smoke, but a little more controlable.
Really superb the whole way down, with a suprisingly lack of bitterness in the aftertaste considering it's flavors. This is like the Big daddy of the punch rothschild.
My kind of Cigar.

Perfect construction! Beautiful wrapper and perfectly cylindrical. First puff gave a hit of peppery smoke. Some floral notes (constant in all the Brazilias) with a mild coffee flavor. Med-bodied. Peppery flavor remained until the end. Good smoke with an interesting floral note.
