"Finally a good cigar."
After 18 months in storage this has finally turned into a darn good cigar. Great burn, copious amounts of smoke, interesting flavor. But who has 18 months to invest in a pricey box of cigars?

"CO does it again"
Beautiful toothy wrapper with a nice oily sheen. Upon first light the cigar was medium bodied with a pleasant leathery tone to it. The flavor gradually intensified about 1 inch in. The cameroon leaf starts letting you you're smoking a cameroon! Great flavor and moves into a fuller bodied smoke. I am picking up a slight burnt marshmellow undertone at about half way through. This continues until the cigar is nubbed. Over all a terific product by CAO!

"The Joy of Cameroon"
I was 'gifted' this cigar and out it aside for a couple of months. I enjoyed every puff and pull right down to the band. The cigar lit well and produced an even burn with a light gray ash. The flavor was moderate but smooth with a moderate last. Folks around me commented on the nice aroma-- unlike other cigars they've been around. The CAO had no bitterness or harshness even as it got close to the band. I would gladly buy a box to put aside for special occasions. Honestly, this cigar reminded me of the best of Royal Jamaica before the great tragedies. Now if we could only get the prices to some reasonable level....

"Killer Cameroon"
Got a handful of these from a low-price CI sampler. Cx2 is a perfect name for these as they are the best cameroons I've ever had. The spice flavor was excellent. One strange thing about these sticks is the finish - there is none. When I put this down after burning my fingers it was as if I hadn't smoked at all. Not that it's a bad thing, just different.

"Double Shot of Cameroon"
Interesting Cigar. Good Cigar without a doubt. A little pricey. The cameroon flavor provides a nice blend in the filler but I must say the MX2 is a better tasting wrapper but not as good in the filler. Good construction. Good draw and smoke. I was pleased.

"Got to admit it's getting better . . ."
I think this cigar was brought to market too quickly. I had one early on and was not impressed. I've had several recently that had some time in the humidor and the flavor and burn problems are corrected. This is a good cameroon; the trick is you have to like the wrapper. The price is another story . . . Dear CAO: price the Cx2 below the Brazilia or drop the line. It's a good cigar, but it's not THAT good.

"A Quality Stick"
As a CAO Criollo (Bamba) smoker this is a Very Good change of pace smoke. A medium bodied Creamy smoke with Spicy Sweetness. Good Construction, Excellent Draw and Burn. I believe this will only get better as it ages in my humidor. Congrats Music Marketing for another GOOD Smoke !

"not worth the money but good"
I was gifted several of these a few months back a good smoke its secret is a double cameroon wrapper, which in itself is awesome
however the binder and filler arent remarkable
I heard this cigar was made by Torano for CAO
just another example of a boutique cigar company, lots of gloss and in this case some substance,in short you can by better for less

"Top Notch"
Even cool burn, with hints of nutty goodness at the start. Eventually changed into a little spicier smoke that was good til the last drop. One of my best smokes of the year.

"Good cigar even if you have to pay"
This thick cigar is covered with a toothy and lightly oily wrapper. It has an excellent draw and burn, produces thick cloluds of smoke, and forms a solid cylinder of ash that hangs on for a while. I'm surprised others had issues with the construction as almost all CAO's smoke extremely well. This is a woody smoke with an accompanying spicy sweetness; it's similar to the older CAO Cameroon line, but the flavors have more intensity. Still, it's medium-bodied, definitely not overpowering, and pretty smooth with some bitterness appearing only at the end. I also got one of these for free (along with a hat) from CAO's website; unfortunately, the actual price in the shops is rather high, but it's a quality smoke.

"Better than the Robusto"
While the robusto seemed to me to have a more concentrated cameroon spice (too much so) the toro is better balanced. While still rich, the spice is not crawling up my nostrils with permanent intentions. The construction seemed better as well-- an even burn, good draw, and otherwise unproblematic. But the flavor still lacks something, and leaves a somewhat bitter aftertaste. This was a freebie from CAO's promo, so big ups to the Ozgener crew for that!

"I guess I'm not a fan of cameroon"
The cigar had a great draw and a lot of flavor, I just didnt like it. I believe this is a matter of personal taste and don't want to discourage anyone who's a fan of cameroon cigars.

"No CX2 Soup for YOU"
I have been pleasantly surprised by each CAO cigar that I tried. Not Hall of Fame...but many were certainly worthy of All Star consideration. Not so of the CX2. I LOVE Cameroon wrapper cigars(including their L'Anniversare Cameroon), but this Toro was wrong from the start. I was not that impressed with the pre-light experience...and it went downhill from there. Uneven burn, RIDICULOUSly tight draw (I felt like I was trying to suck a bowling ball through a straw)...and the flavor profile was mediocre (although I could never seem to get enough on my palate to really get an accurate assessment). If you want cameroon flavor and have to buy a CAO...get the L'Anniversare Cameroon Belicoso. Three times the cigar...

"A fair review of a free cigar."
I have to say that the fact I received the cigar free from a CAO website promo has no bearing on the fact that I enjoyed this cigar.
My sample was relatively well constructed with an earthy aroma when taken out of packaging. After a few days rest I lit it up. Excellent burn, lots of smoke and Cameroon highlights throughout. It did fall apart in terms of construction and appearence during the last third so unable to nub it.Would smoke again depending on price.

"Poor Poor Burn"
Disapointed, tried something new and was a total waste of money. The burn was so poor had to be relit several times and I felt the construction was poor as well. Wrapper fell apart. I would suggest not trying it.

"Average"
I love the taste of Cameroon cigars, especially the Don Carlos Robusto, so I started salivating all over the walk-in when I saw this cigar with twice the Cameroon. It let me down as being a middle of the road smoke, and left me wanting.

"Boring"
I guess they can't win them all. CAO is one of my favorite companies. I heard at a smoker they put on that this would be the bomb. More like a dud. Nice enough looking mottled appearance. Middle of the road flavor. Not good and not bad. It picked up alittle at the end but no big finish. Stick with the maduros and the Brazilias.

"Disappointment"
Surprised, disappointed and over priced. When I arrived at my smoke shop and was told it was in, I set down with an open mind and lit up. To me it was bland, no complexity or taste. I love CAO, they are my favorite cigars, but this one may need sometime to be produced for a while. Maybe the next one I smoke I'll age in my humidor for a while. The Criollo is a much better smoke. About half way through it burned very uneven and had to be re-lit 5-6 time just to get to the label. It did have some undertones of sweetness like vanilla and was a medium smoke. It is made really well and looks great. Not worth the price, I would rather had a MX2 or Black.
