"average cigar"
This cigar was not bad, I did experience a lot of the same problems as other reviewers. The taste began with spice and coffee flavor, but around the midpoint, the cigar became bitter and left a burnt taste in my mouth.

"Not my style"
Seems a lot of people like this cigar, but I found it basically average. The cigar looked great- nice box press, velvet touch, and nice dark maduro wrapper. I purchased this as part of the CAO commemorative sampler, sampler cost $35 I believe, and came with 7 cigars, so I am not sure the price on this one. The cigar lit easily and the burn was very even. The draw was too tight for my taste though. Also, the ash seemed to come off too fast for a box press cigar. The taste was one-dimensional and mild. Maybe I just like more spice, but this cigar bored me pretty quick. I would rather have a 5 Vegas "A" any day of the week over this CAO.

"Decent"
I've smoked at least half the cao line, so I pretty much know what to expect as far as taste goes, and if you are fairly familiar with cao, this cigar is not too different than what you'd expect. Great look and feel to it, box pressed, dark, good pre-draw. It had a good coffee taste that tapered off towards the end. Didn't finish off great and I dropped it before I wanted to. An average maduro and an average cao.

"Disappointed"
I picked up two of these from a local B&M and was looking forward to a great smoking experience. However, I was very disappointed. When cutting, the cap flew off!The burn was uneven and canoed badly. The ash was dark grey and black. The smoke was dry and bitter. About 1/2 way through things started to taste better. I'm assuming this was a bad stick and I'll let the other rest for a few months. Hopefully, it will be a better. experience.

"Powerhouse"
Good looking maduro - oily, box-pressed, firm. Easy draw and lots of smoke, typical of CAO. Flavor started off with hints of cocoa and coffee, creamy. Hit a dull spot about 1/2 way through followed but that gave way to strong spice and pepper. Only negative was the uneven burn, some tunneling. Very good cigar for the money.

"good overall maduro"
this is a good everyday maduro, i picked up a box and they are all consistent through and through. the ash burns a strong white, and the draw is very good it's a really well made boxpressed cigar.

"nice flavor"
I was thoroughly enjoying this cigar until the second half, it seemed to sour more than the other CAO maduro's.I will give another try soon

"was great"
Used to be my favorite cigar. Lately, they have been disappointing. Earlier versions had the coolest draw on earh. They had a rich, smooth chocolate taste

"exceptional-1yr"
This is hands down my favorite maduro and one of my favorite cigars. Right out of the box this cigar is great but after aging for one year it is elevated to exceptional. Complexity, flavor, refinement and aroma equaled only by the Cuban Bolivar Belicosos Finos. This is the only cigar I have smoked which truly has identifiable flavors like cinnamon, vanilla, chocolate, coffee, nuts and pepper. Smooth beyond description. Only negative, uneven burn but with these flavors so what. Word of caution the cigar hit a "Dumb" period at 6 months and the flavor deteriorated before improving to exceptional.

"Not all I'd hoped for"
Good flavor like you'd expect from CAO, but I had a hard time keeping it lit and getting it to burn evenly. That detracted from the overall experience. It did give me a buzz though, so watch out.

"I'll go back to Brazilia"
Bought a couple of these at a super price of five bucks per. My tobacconist had some that he wished to go away. I thought hmmm . . . what a deal! Until I lit it up. Through the first quarter, I must say I got hints of leather and spice. With a hint of dark chocolate that I always admire in a cigar. Then, for some reason the stick turned into something that resembled a pelota basket. Canoed to the max. The "scoop" was too much for me and I discarded the stick around the middle of the cigar. To be fair, I was smoking this cigar outside in the middle of March in El Paso. So, maybe I wasn't too fair with this cigar. Will try the other one indoors with well regulated ventilation . . . err . . . My garage and away from the wife.

"Aged 6 months"
This is one of my favorite cigars so I aged a few for 6 months to see how they would improve. The first 1/3 of the cigar was outstanding, ultra rich smooth and robust. However, the flavor of the cigar deteriorated the last two inches. I could taste a hint of ammonia which ruined a otherwise exquisite cigar. Maybe a few months more aging will do for the last half of the cigar what it did for the first half.

"Big Finish"
A different size than I normally smoke, the Toro was very surprising to me. Just as with the rest of this line of cigars this one is beautiful to look at. My mouth was watering when I took this one out of my humidor. This cigar is a great ring size (55), it feels very comfortable in my fingers. This line has an awesome dark shade wrapper, very small veins. And once again as with the rest of the Maduro line, these cigars has meticulous construction, the wrapper and roll are near perfection. The cap on the Toro is different from most this one had a two-piece cap, which works very nice when cutting. The draw, unlit and lit, was very easy. The burn on this cigar was perfect for the first inch, then tunneled up one side for about an inch. It eventually worked itself out near the end. The draw was good all the way through, no clogging. This cigar stayed lit very well, I was busy and had walked away from it a couple of times and it never went out on me. This cigar was very spicy on the tongue pre lighting, but mellowed after it heated up a bit. The Toro is a very rich cigar, with a spicy leathery taste, medium to full bodied. It got hot on me towards the last 2 inches, the spiciness that previously had gone away after lighting came back twice as powerful for a grand slam finish. I got a five pack of these last week off an internet auction site for $16.00, what a bargain. BOTTOM LINE: Reliable as others in the C.A.O. Maduro line, very pretty, great construction, super flavor, good price, a true winner.

"mmm"
Was so dark I was expecting it to be a bit harsh, I dont usually smoke maduros. This thing was smooth as silk, not harsh at all, with a bit of a spice/peppery taste.

"A perfect maduro"
I love this cigar. Flavor is complex and very smooth with a hint of spice and pepper. Finish is perfect. Appearance is perfect and construction is very good. Burn is uneven, a problem that all of these boutique cigars seem to have, but this is the only flaw in an otherwise perfect smoke.
