"Great, cheap cigar"
This is one of my favorite under $6 cigars.
Its got a great balance of flavor and smoothness. Its medium bodied, with some nice cedar, roasted nuts, and sweet notes

"Consistent creamy cammie"
Well constructed and consistent, with typical cammie flavors of cedar and toasty nuts along with some spice and an underlying sweetness. Creamy finish, slightly woody aftertaste. Mild and relaxing.

"Solid Smoke"
Very nice cameroon cigar. Quality construction, great draw, fantastic aroma.
I smoked two over the weekend, and they were both great. I've had them aging for about a year. Really enjoyed it and for $3.50, its a great deal too

"First Half Marginally Smokable"
First half was marginally smokable and last half brought to life a strong ammonia taste. Burn was irregular and I won't be smoking another.

"A Favorite"
This beauty smokes great on the golf course. A good value, burns even, won't go out when tossed on the green when putting...all in all a very consistent, satisfying smoke.

"Good smooth cammie"
Partially wrapped in a cedar sleeve, this long and slender cigar has a lightly oily and toothy wrapper. While the burn may not be razor straight, it's consistent and needs no fixing. The draw is very good. It has the spicy sweet flavor you'd expect from a cammie, and some wood and a slightly creamy flavor as well. A smooth smoke medium in body and strength.

"Spice is nice."
I think these are getting stronger or I am getting weaker. I may have to rethink the early day description of this cigar. They seem to be getting stronger as they age and smoke like champs. Spicy and peppery at times make me wish I had waited for adult beverage time instead.

"Classy cammie."
It is what it is. A slightly sweet, smooth smokin' cameroon that burns great and tastes very good. It doesn't change much during the smoke but is very consistent. If you have 6 months age on these and don't like them, you never will. Suits my tastes fine for a late morning early afternoon treat.

"Lacks depth"
I had one a few years ago; quite good. Bought a box 6 months ago and although each smoke was good- good roll, draw, ice flavor- I found myself passing on these- looking for variety after smoking half the box. I decided it was the lack of depth in the smoking experience where other brands give me more to talk about, these became OK over time. Try one though if you find the right price.

"Taste's like burning leaves"
Like bigstick said, I picked one up because of the reviews here. Construction was nice, but a little soft. Prelight aroma was a nice rich tobacco. Burn & draw were flawless, what was missing was any flavor! The whole stogie tasted of just plain smoke, like burning leaves or something. Maybe I'm too used to a Maduro? Bad ones do happen, maybe I'll try another, but not for the $7. they are getting around here for them.

Bought a box due to review buzz. They look great but where's the beef. NO FLAVOR. Gimme a St Louie Rey for a buck 50 instead of these.

"Good mild smoke"
Comes in a cedar sleeve. 1st 3rd: Caramely, sugary and grassy. I was hoping for a stronger flavor, but this is a MILD stick! 2nd 3rd: more of the same, words to describe are sugary, caramely, grassy, smooth. Last 3rd: grassy and hints of leathery. I did not nub this one. Burn: fantastic and over 1.5" before I put it out. Recommendation: if you like mild smokes this is for you! Grassy, sugary, caramel, never overpowers you. I like fuller bodied smokes, but I am rating this in the context of mild smokes, which I will give a thumbs up to.

Every bit as good as ever. Extremely even burn, excellent prelight aroma, copious smoke, cool, mild flavors. At the end of a busy day, fabulous with a dollop of Macallan.

"Decent 2 dollar smoke"
Note the titie here, this is not much more than a 2 dollar smoke, despite the price tag. It just feels a little light in the hand and the prelight aroma is barnyard. The smoke is mild with slight flavors of cedar. Not a bad smoke, but if you cannot find these on special, do not bother with the 4 dollar or more pricetag.

"A nice above ave smoke"
Although I found the smoke to be very mild, it was still pleasing enough for me to smoke it to the end. For a budget smoke, it was well made. I will be picking a few more of these up soon.

"Relaxation time"
A relaxing smoke. Appearance was great. Construction was very good. A few veins, but it adds character.
The smoking experience was also great. A little spice right at the beginning and throughout the end. The flavor throughout the middle of the smoke was smooth with cedar all the way through. The burn was even and had a white ash. Can't wait to light another.

"Floral and Mellow"
I have to agree with many of the previous reviews of this cigar. Excellent construction, burn, and flavor. Nice tobacco flavor underlying an overt floral character. I grow roses and could smell a sweet rose with every draw. Simply excellent cigar at a fabulous price!

"Good but delicate"
I've finally smoked enough of these to make a valid review. The pros of this cigar are numerous. The construction is impeccable which leads to a very even burn and a good draw with tons of cool (thermally) smoke. Aesthetically, this cigar is superb. It looks plain classy in its own cedar sleeve, with the elaborate Torano double bands. Flavor wise, it hits the spot. The start has hints of spice that turn into a sweet creamy taste throughout the first half, with the second half transitioning to a more spicy finish. Now here are the cons. This cigar is HIGHLY sensitive to outside factors. One of these I had after a few too many drinks and I could not taste much in it. Another was a bit dry and it was plain disgusting. Another I had with a coffee that was on the strong side and all of the cigar’s flavor was drowned out. These things are obviously not the cigar’s fault and should not be counted against it, but smokers be warned. Enjoy these sober and without a strong drink and obviously keep them well humidified; true for any cigar but even more so for the delicate Cameroon wrappers.

"Try again"
I loved this one right out of the box. I have become unwilling to try a cigar right off the shelf or right out of the box but couldn't resist trying these because I had waited so long to find them at my price. Well they are great now and if they get better I can't wait. I prefer stong smokes and this one is not strong at all. It is mellow, soothing and oh so tasty. Don't smoke it with heavy drink as it may overwhelm it. Enjoy this cigar for itself, you won't be disappointed.

"Okay"
This cigar was my graduation stick because of the rave reviews.
Beautiful.
Not great flavour. It was good, but not worthy of the 9s that this thing is getting. Tough draw, not a lot of smoke at all Maybe this was a dud. Maybe I'll have to try another.

"A Fantastic Smoke, Great Bargain!"
I was checking these on an auction site and was appalled at some of the "average" comments. I don't doubt the guys were describing their experience, but I've found these to be superb smokes! I've smoked them within days of arrival, and have some that have aged over a year, and they are always reliable, smooth, and flavorful. Construction is excellent -- they are handmade agricultural products and maybe one or two per box has flaws with the wrapper or canoes a bit, but I can accept that if the rest are excellent and these always are. Flavor is slightly sweet (the Camaroon wrapper coming through), rich and varied. In short, I love these! I'm always tempted to reach for a "better" (that means more expensive) cigar, but when I want to kick back and enjoy a great cigar, an adult beverage and good conversation, this is what I reach for almost every time. Ver highly recommended at any price, and in their price range, they are the best buy I've found.

"Sweet Lil' Thing!"
I love these cammies from Torano. I tend to be tough in reviews because I expect a cigar to bring me pure pleasure and oodles of relaxation and most don't. These do. They have an unusual, slightly sweet taste, perfect draw and rich tobacco taste. Construction is (nearly always) perfect and the price is right. Buy 'em.

"A new respect for the old broad"
This was a stocking stuffer from my mother-in-law, who doesn't know that I rarely choose a Cameroon and even more rarely choose a Churchill. But this smoke was a revelatioin. Beautifully constructed, it burned perfectly all the way through and never got hot or harsh. This is a beautiful complex smoke. Another homerun for Torano. I'm beginning to think there's no one out there to beat them for overall quality and satisfying blen.

"Good churchill"
My taste are in the medium to full range with the edge being my current favorite cigar. Now that you know my taste I'll tell that I enjoyed this cigar. I think for a churchhill to be enjoyable the blend must be consistent through out the smoke and this was very consistent. It had a great earthy woodsy start and thru the middle it was smooth. There was never a harsh build up which you can get from many churchhills. Good blend, terrific cigar.

"Very Good"
A very good looking cigar. Nice oily wrapper, black burn ring. Draw was excellent and the ash was white to very light grey, very tight. The flavor was interesting. A spicy, yet mild start with a wood like finish. Went well with espresso as well as a Foster's. For its price, it is truly a must-have smoke.

"I don't get it.."
I guess I just don't share the love affair with Torano that many others have. I thought the cigar was rather "boring"...straightforward tobacco taste that didn't change, not a huge amount of smoke, just nothing really distinguishing about the cigar. Not a "dog rocket", but not something I'm going to spend 4 bucks on.

"it delivered... again"
I had a robusto of these about a year ago and remember it as being very good with a strong flavor. The churchill I just finished was amazing as well.
It looks absolutely beautiful with its African Cameroon wrapper and lit, drew, and burned perfectly the whole way down. My father was smoking a Trinidad while I smoked this and I must say this had more and better flavor! For its price, it is truly a must-have smoke.

"Lovely To Look At"
A really fine, long-lasting smoke. Gorgeous appearance, beautiful construction, and a silken wrapper give this cigar visual and tactile appeal fit for Royalty. The burn is slow and even. While the spiciness and flavor are well integrated, I found the flavor to be just a bit too subtle for perfection. I'm judging this against the Joya de Nicaragua Antano, which the flavor profile of this cigar resembles. If the taste had been just a little more assertive, it would have been Perfect.

I don’t know what was better - the beautiful Cameroon wrapper, perfect burn with long white ash, the great balanced flavor or the sub $5.00 price! Regardless, this was one really good smoke. Medium bodied with sweet/spicy flavors and a good deal of nuttiness. It’s hard to beat the value of this cigar.

"Finding it hard to beat a Torano"
I've smoke all the torano cigars...haven't burned a bad one yet. The 1916 is my new found favorite. The wrapper is beautiful, the ash is white, the robust flavor of the cameroon wrapper...wow...While I enjoy all of their lines (because not only are they great smokes, but the uniqueness of one to the next is striking) aside from the tribute, the 1916 is an ambassador's smoke. As always, I enjoy my churchill's with a glass of good port and in the presence of good company. Enjoy!

"Speachless"
I got this one for free from the Torano Family, and couldn't wait to try it. At first look, I could tell it was a beauty. Fine superb construction and appearance! The initial draw I will admit wasn't impressive, but then again, who's is? Once it was well lit, and into it a ways, its true colors began to shine! The flavor, smoke, and aroma were fantastic! It was one that definitely didn't last long enough. Not that it burned fast, but the hour flew by with hardly a second thought. It paired perfectly with a dark, winter-style lager which helped complete the whole experience! I wish I could say I was surprised, but coming from Torano, I'm not. This has become the level of excellency I have come to expect. Hats off to you Torano Family!!
