"Jury's still out"
I just received a five pack and lit one up, probably way too soon. It was pretty much strong spice throughout the stick. It also had some issues with uneven burning, unlike other Toranos that I've smoked. I know that I was impatient lighting this up right after the mail man delivered them to me. I will give them ample time to rest and then see what happens.

Pretty much the same as the robusto with more time for the complexity to emerge. I love the firm construction and the razor sharp draw (when I remeber to light it correctly). Just smooth and satisfying as a cigar. Love em!

"Let 'em rest"
The trick with these is to give them some time in the humidor. Smoked one right away out of a 5 pack that I got and I was rather unimpressed--tasted very young and not overly complex. Then, after letting them sit for almost half year, they have become so tasty! Great draw, lots of smoke, firm ash, and lots of flavor...really can't ask for much more.

"Good but Not Great"
This cigar is constructed and smokes decently. There was a little uneveness toward the end that I had to pamper a little to get it to straighten out, but no big deal. I did think that the particular cigar that I'd had could have been wrapped tighter as the draw seemed too airy. I've only smoked the one..but I do have another; I'll post an update if there's any significant difference. The first 3rd of this cigar was definitely spicy, but not overly so. By the 2nd third there was a sweetness that took over that reminded me of jasmine incense. Yeah....I know...incense??...but that's what it reminded me of none the less. My usual cigar is the Arturo Fuente 858's which also have a sweet floral note, but I would not descibe it the same way as this. The Torano Toro also provided notes of coffee and chocolate as other have mentioned. Take a good whiff of one of these sticks right out of the wrapper and chocolate is definitely the main note. The cigar finished well enough but I wasn't able to smoke it down to the nub...the final 3rd finished a little harshly for my taste. All in all not too bad of a cigar. I wouldn't turn one down if it were offered, but I doubt if I'd buy any more of them...I'll reserve that judgement though until after I've smoked my other one.

"Tasty Cigar"
This was my second time smoking a Torano Sig. I really liked the first one I smoked and love the Exodus series so I figured I would give this one another go. Goregous cigar with a very dark brown wrapper and seamless cap. There were two veins running the length of the wrapper but that was all. Rather complex flavors on this one. Rich earth and spicy cinnamon in the beginning with notes of cocoa and coffee appearing on the finish after the first inch or so. A rather floral aroma to the smoke as well. Medium-Full bodied. Started with a 7mm punch but the draw on that got really tight after the first half of the cigar. Switched to a standard cut and that opened things right up. Burn was pretty good. Went awry on my twice and had to be corrected, but no tunneling so that is a major plus. Got these as part of a sampler from CBid so I don't really know how much I paid for them. Overall, I really enjoyed this cigar. Makes a great after dinner smoke and I would recommend it to anyone.

"great smoke"
I wanted a change of pace from the mild-medium cigars I generally smoke so I picked up some of these, they do not disappoint! The dark, oily, Brazilian wrapper is slightly sweet on the lips. When first lit, they have a strong spicey flavor that fades into notes of cinnamon, cocoa, and cream. The aroma is also very nice and may even be enjoyed by non-cigar smokers. I loved them so much I bought a box, and paid only about $2.75 per stick! Consistency is good as far as I can tell. A very complex and satisfying smoke.

"Tunnel Digger"
Carlos Torano usually doesn't disappoint, but this stick left much to desire. The burn was terrible, tunneling down 2 inches before it began to level. The flavor was also quite bitter and had a short finish. I'll try another only due to the good cigar name.

Good overall smoke but a tad bit harsh for me. Sometimes that just means it needs a little more time in the humidor or just that I ate spicy nachos before the smoke. Either way, an overall decent smoke, beautiful wrapper and consistent burn.

WOW what a great cigar. Man I gotta say this is one fine smoke. Construction, burn, flavor all almost perfect for my taste. The construction is excellent with a firm roll and a great draw. The burn was perfect with a nice ash to boot. The smooth oily wrapper is sooo taste too. Flavors of spice and cocoa, leather are great. This is one of my favorite smokes. I have to give this cigar a 9.

"A sleeper for sure."
No one has ever suggested I try a CT Signature, and I don't see pushed at me by the websites. But this cigar is absoutely intriguing. Exceptional burn and lighter than expected smoke that I just could not put down. My five pack mellowed for 4 months before I smoked 3 of them, and these just oozed classic taste (leather, campfire, and straight tobacco). Now I won't let anyone else touch the 2 I have left. Not overwhelming and a flavor profile in the middle of the spectrum. I'm surprised I don't hear more about them.

"Outstanding"
This cigar and the CAO Black Toro are probably my favorite natural-wrapper cigars in the middle price range right now. The cigar started out medium, toasty and spicy, and soon added cocoa and coffee flavors. In two different cigars there was a mild spot around the first inch. After that some leathery tones joined in the fray and fought it out with the coffee. Neither won, but the med/full level continued until about 2 inches where it turned somewhat harsh. For $5 there are very few better sticks in my opinion.

"Manly Man"
For a non-cuban this is a pre castro smoke wannabe that actually pulls it off. Firm draw, excellent burn, excellent construction. SERIOUSLY spicy and hot initially. That shocks your taste buds into dealing with the strong/long finish that exists throughout the remaing smoke. Traditional cured tobacco taste with no real hints of anything. Maybe leather.

"Nice, But Where's the Coffee?"
A beautifully made cigar with a lovely wrapper, and I liked it very much, but the one I smoked didn't deliver any of the tastes previous reviewers (and the promotional blurbs) speak of--coffee, cocoa, wood, leather. There wasn't even a hint of that. What I smoked was an aromatic cigar which started slowly and built to a wonderful crescendo, but it was all spice. The closest flavor would be cinnamon, perhaps. It was very enjoyable, but wanted to burn hot down to the last inch and a half to yield up the most intense flavor. It was a blast.

"Good cigar"
Encased in a snug sleeve of cedar veneer and adorned by two light colored bands with copper gilt edges, the Torano signature cuts a fine figure. The oily brown wrapper, sold as a Brazilian sun grown maduro, is medium brown in color and looks like a rosado tinted Cameroon having a dry feel, one obvious vein, and tiny tooth. The cigar had a nicely crafted cap which clipped smoothly. Pre light the head tantalized with a spicy hot bite on the tongue.

I lit one edge as a sort of a test, and the cigar displayed its excellent construction by evening out rapidly. Immediately I was treated to an edgy flavor, sharp and powerful. There was a mix of cocoa and slightly acidic coffee to enjoy as the cigar burned slowly and patiently down. The ash was light colored on the outside and dark in the middle, and it started to split and developed a lengthwise gap as it burned. This was a well rolled cigar that had a perfect draw and good smoke production. The spicy aroma was full and pleasant, and the finish was peppery and very satisfying.

This cigar was medium to full bodied and had nice complexity and depth. While the flavor did not really evolve as the cigar burned, it did slowly increase in strength. The cigar was medium in strength and had a very nice balance in the blend. Flavors included coffee grounds, bitter chocolate, and autumn leaves. It would have gone very well with an espresso or mocha, and I paired it to good effect with some spicy summer sausage and colby cheese.

This cigar was very nice to look at and a pleasant smoke. I would have appreciated a bit more variety in the burn, but the flavors were bold, crisp, and very good. This was one of the better non Cuban cigars I've had lately.

"Excellent cigar"
A nice looking maduro with excellent construction. The flavor is very smooth & mild at 1st, but the flavor starts kicking in about an inch in. It picks up strength also, with a very nice spice tone & some, but not a lot, of my beloved barnyard. This cigar reminds me a bit of Villazon, which is very high praise. There are flurries of some complex & unusual flavors.

"Nice surprise."
After being disappointed with the lack of flavor from the Exodus 1959 line, I was afraid I'd find the same with the signature cigars. That turned out not to be the case. This cigar was very well constructed, burned dead even, had a perfect draw, and what do you know, it even had great flavor. It was medium strength, with a nutty, coffee flavor. If I didn't already have way too many cigars I'd buy a few more of these.
