"It's Your Money"
I expected a bit more for my money from the Graycliff PGX. Not that it's a horrible cigar, but for two bucks I can name a few cigars that are much better. The taste was my major disappointment especially when you consider what you paying. This cigar's flavor is average at best. The taste is hard to nail down and describe to someone. A sort of mild cedar-cream with hints of vanilla might describe it, but that sounds good. The PGX was not very good. The burn and draw were the strength of the PGX. Everyone's taste is a bit different, but for me, this cigar is terribly overpriced for what you get in the flavor department.

"Easy Rider"
I was skeptical with the retail price of these , I know they don't fit my budget, but when I can get them at 5 to 7 bucks I will buy a bundle of them. I really enjoy this cigar. It is mild to medium with light but complex flavors (smooth, mild spices and a touch sweet). There is no bite with this cigar so if that is what you are looking for look somewhere else. If you are looking for a nice relaxing cigar that doesn't sacrifice flavor light one up!!

"Laghable"
Even with 3 years of box time in a meticulously controlled environment of 70-70 this was a dogrocket in the all important flavor department last night. These can sometimes be good. Last nights was not. For $9-ish you'd better get an enjoyable flavor experience. Do not bother with these cigars. Value based upon $6.50.

"One of my best ever"
I got this as part of a "premium" sampler. Surprisingly, the reviews were not that great for it, not what you'd expect for what these cost, so frankly I was not expecting much. In this case though, the premium part held true. Great taste sown to the end. Fantastic smoke, easy draw, even cool burn. Don't know if I'd pay full price for it, but I'd buy another one for $5-6

"Tasted early...still quite good"
This was a young one from a 5 pack, left to settle for about 2 weeks in my humidor before sampling. They all feel a little soft in the hand, I was concerned that it was too moist but they are just a bit underfilled and burn a bit quicker than most cigars. However, the burn quality was excellent with only a little irregularity near the band. Smooth and medium in body with toast, toffee and oaky flavors for the first half, this built a bit in the second half and added some nice lightly charry and complex woody flavors with just a bit of youngish bitterness for a small section. After that little bit it was good to the nub, overall medium in body with a bit of vitamin N kick. Great stuff for a medium cigar, should only improve with a month or two of aging.

"Pagan Service"
It’s been a while since I had a nice Sunday Brunch cigar. This Graycliff was perfect to end the drought. Blew out my knee the day before doing yard work so I had nothing better to do at 11 a.m. than pour myself a stiff belt of Manhattan with lemon and punch the PGX. Ugly cigar. Rough looking like an old length of maple branch. It burned OK, a little fast, left a scoop of unburned wrapper a time or two, but with a little patience on my part, which I had an overabundance of, the burn caught up just fine. Lots of smoke. Flavor came and went, had some toast and butter, nut, wood (not maple). Can’t even remember where or when I got this one, but it had at least a year of humi time. I had been looking at thinking it would be good for a Sunday morn. Praise the Lord. It was.

"nice smoke"
Bought a couple of 5 pacs (cbid). The first cigar was harsh and not to my liking. I let the rest sit in the humi for several months before trying again. The balance of the lot were what I expected from a Graycliff. Maybe just one bad cigar or the rest did them good.

"good smoke but not worth price"
It's a good mild cigar that is similar to something around the lines of Davidoff & Avo. It is certainly a good cigar but a better choice that is cheaper is an Avo, and if you are willing to pay over $10 for these just go with the Davidoff. This is mild, but so well balanced that it will please any cigar smoker regardless of experience.

"8 months of box time helped."
A very handsome, smokeable, and (finally after 8 months of box time) somewhat tasty cigar. These are mild in body with SOME nice flavors of spice, vanilla, and creamy coffee inside. Nothing mindblowing. Just nice. BUT, If I wanted just "nice" I could have smoked an Avo for a 1/3 of the price! These do get better with some some box time (this stick had the start of some "plume") but there is still no way I pay top $. I nicked a fiver at auction for $6.50/stick. Still not worth it.

"Not bad"
Overpriced, yes, but not bad at all. I actually thoroughly enjoyed this cigar. I got one in a sampler about 4 months ago. My first impression was that it was very lightly packed, and a little dry (perhaps this is why it was chosen for the sampler pack). I smoked it while playing golf. It burned pretty fast, probably due to the weight, and faily even. It did have a unique flavour. It was very creamy, with some spice. Mild-medium bodied, and pleasant. I would like to try one again, I don't usually like to write a review based on one cigar.

"A crisp, enjoyable smoke..."
I smoked this outside on a somewhat windy day, but the burn stayed even throughout. The wrapper was a little bumpy and thin. Ash was long and greyish. Draw was excellent. I will have to rate this one again b/c the flavor eluded me. It had a crisp flavor, mild to medium bodied. Some light wood flavors and peppary spices. Finish was not that long, but pleasant. There was definitely a unique flavor that I can't quite put my finger on. I have a few more sleeping and will rate this one again with and hopefully get a more specific flavor profile. Definitely not worth the MSRP, but then again I think many premium cigars are over-valued. I will rate value on the $6.25 I paid on c-bid.

I went to the Graycliff Hotel and Humidor this past Friday (02/17/06). You are welcomed into the "rolling" room where you can watch them hand role the cigars. Quite the experience....as for the cigar, I found it quite good. apperance and draw were perfect.

"Scotty is on the mark"
Smoking this thing was a waste of time. Although, I did not wait an hour plus before I put it out. There is no other way to say, but that the taste was bad. The construction was decent and the draw was fairly smooth, but that taste. I got this in a sample pack, and won't be buying any of these things.

"Nice resort cigar."
What some people seem to forget is that this smoke originates from the exclusive "Graycliff" hotel in Nassau, Bahamas. When was the last time you went to the Venetian in Las Vegas or the Ritz Carlton in Bali and paid less than ten dollars for a quality herf? This is a quality smoke that is exponentially enhanced by its setting. This is definitely an atmosphere cigar. Would I drop fifteen dollars at the Graycliff? I most certainly would, and I probably would if I wanted to try and relive that night I smoked it. However if it were on the top shelf next to a Ashton VSG or an Opus at the local smoke shop, I'd have to go with the later two. With that said...nice medium body with full flavor. Toffee and black coffee on the long finish. Nice white ash and perfect draw. The wrapper itself began to unravel halfway through.

"Laughably Overrated"
At nearly $15 a throw this is the most overrated cigar to date that I have smoked. The Montecristo White and the Trinidad (DR) are 2 and 3 on my overrated list respectively. Wrapper was shiny but veiny and coarsley rolled like the torc. was in a hurry. Prelight aroma was ok. She started spicy..went to wood...and contunued in a mundane spicy wood flavor that left me wanting. No creaminess, no depth to these flavors. Draw and construction were top notch producing easy gobs of smoke. This was a complete waste of an hour and 20 minutes of my life. Thank god I nabbed a 5 packer for like 6.50 a stick on c-bid. If I had paid $15, after smoking this, I would have started the car and sucked on the tailpipe.

"Top shelf smoke"
Yeah, I know they're overpriced (what isn't in the Bahamas?) but gosh...is this a good smoke! Dry and peppery. In my opinion, a flavor reminiscent of a Cohiba-Lancero or Trinidads-Fundadores. The construction is good, but the Indonesian wrap is very thin and tears easily; be careful! Other than that, the Red label is one of my favs. A classy, high- end smoke for those, who know what they're looking for.

My 1st Graycliff. Have 3 more. All 'red bands'. Wrapper was 2nd rate and goose-bumpy. Flavor was ho-hum at best. I guess I'm w/ the crowd that says these are OVERPRICED! I bet Avelino can make better 'gars if he has better leaf to work with.

"Excellent"
Well I just finished my first Graycliff and I must say this is one outstanding cigar. Perfect construction and burn, beautiful ash that held well. The flavor is extremely smooth and very complex. It was well aged with a fine touch of spice, an outstanding experience. If it wasn't for the price i'd smoke these all the time.
