A more user friendly stick compared to the maduro but its own thing. Beautiful to behold the aroma is herfer incense. Perfectly balanced full flavors of earth, spice, and honey. An ass kicking with finess...

A superb after dinner smoke. Construction, burn, draw all good. Leather, pepper, coffee on the taste profile. Strong? Yes, but the DL 700 is stronger due to bigger girth. Both are some of my favs.

"Like a mallet to the nutz"
Why, oh why did I do this to myself? Of course it's strong; that's the point. But day-um there's a limit to the amount of ligero a stick can get packed with and still be enjoyable, and this cigar passed that 2 exits back. This is the punk rock version of a cigar - right up and in your face.

"amazing"
I have not been smoking cigars that long but I soon figured out I liked full flavored ones. I went to the local shop and asked the clerk for recommendations. He suggested the double ligero. I tried it and made it my favorite.
It burned even all the way until it burnt my fingers. The taste was very rich, I almost wanted to light another just to experience it all over again. I have since kept my humidor in stock and given out a few to friends, with the reply after they smoked it that it was to strong for them.

"Unique and Powerful"
The word on the street was this was among the most powerful cigars in the world, and man were they right. Luckily I ate a full meal before hand because I could tell from the first puff that this cigar was the real deal. Besides from being the most powerful cigar I have smoked, this cigar had perfect burn and ash, as well as surprisingly delicious flavor. I tasted hints of chocolate and coffee, mmm mmm good.

i once read another review that said the cigar tasted so nice he could eat the tobacco in a salad. now, i can't go so far as to really EAT it, but this was a very nice tasting cigar. this is the only chisel i've ever smoked, so i don't know how the construction stacks up to others, but i enjoyed this enough that i'll be buying a few to put in the bottom of the humidor soon.

"Just OK"
I had the reviews about this cigar and had such HIGH hopes but I must say the power was not all that. The taste I am still searching, it was very smooth the beginning and the construction was poor. Mine began to come apart, it had split half way and the chisel began to unwrap. I am a Camacho fan BIG time I would recommend the Triple Maduro over this anyday. Maybe with time and age it would get better. I will try again hopefully just got a dud.

"One of the Best!"
Fantastic full bodied cigar. The prelight smell is like Hershey chocolate mixed with sweet cedar. Once lit you get tons of cedary, cocoa deliciousness. These retail for around $7, but could easily be sold as a "super premium" at twice the cost. If you like full bodied smokes and haven't tried this you are really missing out!

Smoked this baby out back in the cold listening to some Stan Getz. Loved it from the start! Excellent construction although the chisel tip threw me off. Great flavor kept my smokin' to the nub. It was cold and I smoked this bad boy faster than I should have because that double ligero leaf made my head spin. I am buying a box of these, but I am going to take longer to smoke them. "Jeezus H....."
One of the strongest cigars i have ever smoked. not eating a big meal before lighting up was a huge mistake. Couldn't finish it. However...A very good looking cigar--make sure you punch the flat part of the chisel about halfway in. Don't cut it. STRONG leather, espresso and wood. Out of my flavor/strength profile but I can appreciate it. Good draw burn.

"Spicy start, smooth afterwards"
The neat chisel-shaped head is what obviously stands out, but it also has a nice dark, oily, and veiny wrapper. It has a lush draw producing huge volumes of smoke, and forms a nice whitish ash; the burn isn't razor straight but it's ok, needing a relight or two. The heat at the begininng is a bit overwhelming, but the red and black peppery spice soon relaxes yielding a much smoother smoke filled with leather, dark berry, and clove flavors. Still results in a pretty good buzz afterwards. No. 7 in Cigar Aficionado's top 25 cigars of 2005.

"VERY GOOD"
I had one the other night that I swear tasted like a cross b/t an Opus and VSG, yet did so w/o trying to be either of them. Initial flavor on the palate was SPICY and kind of cedary/cinnamony sweet like an Opus. Aftertase had that kind of burnt rasin taste I find in VSG's. I can honestly say I like the Chisel as much as either, plus they are less than half the cost!

I tried a couple of these and had consistent canoes in the middle on every one. Correctable but annoying. They start out spicy and have a good oaky ligero flavor throughout. A bit one dimensional but smooth to about 2 inches, and with a big dose of vitamin N.

Only the third cigar I have lit and started making phone calls to friends! I'm thrilled about this find and oh by the way...it's number 7 on CI's 2005 top 25 and the cheapest one that high on the list. SUPERB VALUE at 124 bucks a box at Arnolds.com. "Good cigar"
thought I wasn't gonna like this cigar the first few minutes, not much smoke and looked like the burn was gonna go South. Pleasantly suprised at the way it developed, burn turned straight, smoke became more abundant, and the cigar had a nice tobacco flavor. Like to see how they age, going to leave the other 4 in the humi for a rest. For the price, I'd rather smoke a LAdC Robusto for a few bucks less (fresh anyways). The chisel end was interesting but didn't effect the experience too much.

Great cigar with lots of darker spice flavors than the JdN Antono, and the chisel head makes a great experience also. People, please smoke these the appropriate way & punch the top to the chisel so the smoke hits your palate directly. Cutting the chiseld doesn't allow enought smoke & is a waste.

I have smoked almost daily for the past 15 years, mainly on cubans. this smoke makes the cubans look terrible. Consistency, on every smoke, makes this brand shine. Great flavour burn, and experience every time. Cubans tend to waste at least 25% of the box. Love this cigar!!!

"Woke me up"
I was intrigued by the shape of this one, so I sat down with a dark beer and smoked it. It took me an hour due to how powerful it is. Very peppery quality to it that many smokers may like, but I just don't. Also, the chisel tip didn't make it easy to smoke. By the time I was done, my cheeks and jaw were in significant pain, which would have been worse had it not been for the numerous dark beers I then consumed to eliminate the pepper taste that was left in my mouth after this one. Still, an extremely well-made cigar and worth a try. Something different.

These Cigars are incredible! The construction is impeccable; the flavor is savory, and the finish robust and unyielding. A toasty treat, tasting of cappuccino soaked leather laced with caramel. "Impressive"
I really liked this cigar. I've been very critical of LfD and typically stay away. The new shape was too appealing so I had to try this. I thought the flavor was spectacular. Burned nicely, constructed very nicely. The taste, though, was nice throughout. My opinion of the brand has been that the flavor seems to "die" on me...leaving me with nothing but smoke in my mouth, but this was true to the end. I really liked the shape of the tip. Very appealing.
