"was expecting better"
Picked this up at a B&M so it didn't have the normal down time I like. My mistake. Though it didn't seem dry when I cut it, the wrapper promptly split and by the time I reached the 1/3 point I had a cigar with no wrapper above the band. After a frustrating couple of minutes I chucked it. Why then do I bother to review? Well it tasted and smelled very nice until then. I look forward to smoking another but doubt I will get to this odd size.

"Maddie, much better..."
A medium/full spicy first inch gave way to the body and flavor that was evident in the pre-light puff and sniff. Mellow and toasty with a hint of sweet lemon to go along with the more tradtional maduro flavors and enough bite to let you know you are smoking a cigar. Solid construction, flaky ash and uneven burn, not a combo you usually see together considering the bunch looked very good before lighting. Not quite two inches in and two touch ups so far. Flavor wise this is the best LGC I've tried. I was beginning to think I had waited too long with all the comments I've read about the quality of the line dropping off. If this damn thing would just burn straight we are talking winner in all depts but that ain't going to happen. Maybe the five pack wrap did it, it's flat on one side (that was pressed against the cedar) and round otherwise, a "D" press if you will. I rounded it back out as best I could with about 5" to go and that helped. I'll try that before lighting the next one.

"Maduro Version Is Great"
I smoked the natural a few months ago and was not impressed. This had flavor and just kept delivering! I really enjoyed this smoke. Medium bodied and great maduro sweetness wrapped in an oily wrapper. Construction awesome!

"Good but tarry"
As is typical with the regular line of LGCs, this was a medium to full bodied cigar with a fairly complex flavor. It started out robust and leathery/sweet with a touch of spice, and dropped off to medium in body, consistent and adding a nice toasty overtone. It had a very good burn down to 3 inches, where it turned milder and hot/harsh. Except for the tarry overtone I really like these cigars. The Serie R are still much better IMO.

"Hay Until Halfway Through"
This is probably the worse LGC I have ever smoked. First half was not aged and tasted like I was laying in a hay bed in a very humid sauna. The last half was a mild version of a typical LGC.
