"Excellent"
All around good for every aspect: construction, burn, draw, quantity of smoke, and ash retention. Silvery ash with a great toasty, full flavor that mutes much of the sweetness of the wrapper. Some peppery tones, and slight hints of nutmeg there. Flavors are really well balanced in this offering. It's no wonder these sticks are so expensive, and well rated. A tad pricey, but a good buy, and you won't be mad that you wated your money.

"A Top Quality cigar"
Starts off being a salty smoke. About a third of the way through it begins to lose the saltiness and starts getting very spicy. Nice construction although the draw is a bit tight throughout this smoke. I smoked it down to the nub. Loved it and will smoke more of these.

"1 really good smoke."
This cigar had a really dark wrapper, that yielded to a multitude of flavors. At first presentation, it was you're basic maduro, with hints of chocolate and coffee. However, for the second half of the smoke, it had mild nuances of leather and charred wood, that turned into a rich, robust finish; tasting of leather, expresso, and earthy flavor(s)- that were delightful. The construction was excellent, and the draw was great. The ash was white and tight. This is a great smoke for the money. Would certainly recommend this one!

"Good Smoke"
This is a nice looking cigar. The wrapper is dark and smooth with excellent construction. The flavor is a mix of spice and woods with a hint of sweetness. The draw is just a little tight, but not so much that it is hard to smoke. I truely enjoyed this smoke.

"Not Bad"
This is a well made cigar with a very nice aroma with spice and woody flavors. I found it to be a tad stronger than I prefer but enjoyable just the same.

"Not-so-glorious cubana"
Not a bad smoke. It looked good, smoked evenly in burn and flavor (although the flavor was slightly harsh). If you like maduros I would recommend Onyx Reserve for the price. Luke warm recommendation.

One of the more outsanding cigars I've smoked (and I've smoked a bunch!). Worth every dollar, IMHO.

Bought two of them a year ago, smoke one right away and wasn't impressed. Smoke the last one the other night and it had turned into a great smoke. Everything you want from a maduro.
