"Good Cigar"
I would purchase more of these cigars in the future but the majority of what I have read about this cigar, not here but in catalogs, is a bit of an exaggeration. I do not consider my self a fast smoker, but the cigar only lasted about 30-40 minutes. The flavor began very spicy to my surprise and had the tip of my tongue tingling. After the first half inch, the cigar mellowed out and became quite tasty. I was expecting a greater volume of smoke, but the amount was just average. The flavor was nutty and had some lingering ceder notes. This combination of flavors remained the same until I stopped smoking the cigar. I was hoping to nub this cigar, well I guess relatively nub the cigar in proportion to its starting length, but the smoke became way too hot. I let the cigar cool and it eventually went out, so I had to relight only once. Even after a gentle relight, the cigar continued to be too hot to smoke. The flavors did not turn undesirable. The main problem, I guess, was just the greater surface area of the burn in close proximity to my lips. I have never had the same problem with a traditionally sized robusto. A nubbing tool would have probably solved the issue.

"This ain't no V"
I am completely disappointed with the whole line. They came on to the market with the thunder of an approaching buffalo herd, hyped as starting out with the best part of a normal sized cigar. I have smoked all three in the 60 ring and was disappointed to no end. What made my disappointment all the harder to bear is that I got my local tobacconist to carry them because of the hype. The cigar just has no real depth or complexity. Not all cigars MUST be complex, but when they aren't I need a taste that is going to blow me away and this brand just fails to deliever. I have smoked my last NUB and there will be no more for me. There are better cigars out there for the same or even lower price.

"was expecting better..."
After reading several rave reviews of this cigar I was expecting a gem but what I got was an average cigar that in which the taste deteriorated over the duration of the smoke. It started like I expected a habano to start peppery and leathery but as I smoked on about halfway down I got the distinct taste of an old ashtray. Of all the "full bodied" cigars I have had this was the least full bodied I think I have had. There was severe tunneling towards the end which eventually made it unsmokable. In the end I would have to say it was still better than some other smokes I have had in the past but nothing about it was spectacular. Will probably not be purchasing this again.

"Nice"
Think of a V, just in a shorter size. That is a good description of the Habano Nub 460. I just bought a box of them (had to wait 3 weeks for the shop to get them in...what's up with that Oliva?) but it is worth the wait to get a good stock in the Humi again. I am tied between the Connecticut and the Habano as my favorite with the 460 size being my hands down size fav. Hubs are cool.

"Not a gimick"
A good friend gave me one of these and I thought it was some sort of gimick, but it's not!
This a fine powerhouse of a cigar with flavor somewhat like an Oliva V.
It lasted an hour and I now have 10 in the humi!

"Looks Can be Deceiving"
When I first saw the Nub Habano 460, I will admit I thoughr "What the Hell is this?"

However, after trying several, I must say they share a great number of similarities to the Oliva Serie V in terms of flavor, and that is definitely a good thing, and not the least bit surprising when you consider the Nub's origin. The Nub is well made, great sheen to the wrapper, and it tastes great.

The only thing I can say is that I really do not like to have to resort to anything other than a straight cut, and I did have to punch this particular cigar.

Overall, a great little cigar. It shattered my expectations.

"Great looks"
Beautiful looking smoke and solid as a rock. Beyond that a tight draw, a few touch ups required, and decent flavor that's an improvement over the 358.

"First impression - not impressed"
Had my first Nub about an hour and a half ago. Coming into this smoke I tried to put all the hype out of my mind so I could judge this smoke fairly, so here goes. The concept here is interesting, starting a cigar right at the "sweet spot" and not having to build up to it. It is a unique looking cigar and it feels solid. The wrapper was smooth and lightly veined. Too large a ring gauge for any cutter I own so it got a punch. These actually appear to be made for a punch as the cap has an extra layer on the very top. Took a minute to get this one completely lit but once I did it burned nicely. Ash held solidly and the burn was even. However, the draw was weak and the amount of smoke I got felt very unsatisfying. As I said earlier these are supposedly designed to start out at the peak flavor point but I didn't find this to be the case. It took about an inch to get any real taste out of it. With the cigar only being four inches long this seems like an issue to me. The flavors that did show up were muted and felt very bland on my palate. Light hints of spice and leather but not much else. Little to no finish. Smoked this one down to the band just so I could do the stand on it's own ash trick and snap a picture of it. Overall, I hope I just had a dud here. The flavors were there but they just never came forward. I've got three of these left and will definitely try another one here soon. Hopefully it goes a little better.

"great blend"
I wasn't sure what to expect given all the hype. This cigar was delicious and quite strong and it lasted well over an hour for me. Draw was very loose. I clipped this one but will punch the next one. Due to the extreme "airiness" I did have to relight a couple of times. Aroma was wonderful and taste was spicy sweet on the pre-light then cedary and toasty good from then on. Typical excellent Oliva construction. Recommended right out of the box but I would love to put some away for awhile too..

"Absolutely Worth it..."
Not sure why are reporting a 30-45 minute duration... I had mine over morning coffee... and it lasted every bit of an hour.

AMAZING flavor on this cigar... strong, but not overpowering. A nice toast, cedar note that developed into a smooth woodsy blend, with hints of sweet and spice.

Perfect burn, nice white smoke. Will keep these in the humidor as a new staple!

"Interesting concept but..."
Tried my first Nub this weekend and while I was impressed with the characteristics (appearance, construction, flavor, and burn of the stick), I question the value. Considering you will likely get only 30 - 45 minutes out of a Nub is it really work the $5 list?

Anyway, it has a easy light, nice strait burn, a flavor profile similar to a Serie V. While enjoyable, the stick was too hot in the fingers before I knew it and had to be out down just before the label, leaving 2 inches of typically enjoyable goodness. I find it funny that a cigar with the name of Nub cannot be smoked to the nub. Go figure.

One final note, due to the girth you need to be careful not to get a stick too fat to confortably enjoy. 60 seems to be my limit before it feels like work.
