"Great smoke, but not for the money"
Awesome looks, great construction and taste. Can't complain about anything but the price.

"It's one of the best for a reason"
Decided to treat myself to one of these tonight after a disappointing experience with the VSG. I'd been sitting on this one for about a year. Great looking stick with a dark red, slightly veined wrapper and a perfect cap. Flavors were rich earth with notes of wood and leather. Lots of spice throughout as well. This was perhaps aged a little too long or was maybe stored at a little too high RH (68%?) as a lot of the strength was gone from what I had remembered from previous times smoking this line. Burn was razor sharp and the draw was perfect. Had to re-light once but that was my fault for letting it sit for a while. Overall, a great cigar that proves why the Opus X is one of the top smokes that Fuente makes.

"overrated for the price"
I finally got around to trying an Opus X, and after being dissapointed with all the other AF's I've tried (regular line, SG, DC, Hemi) I came into this cigar with low expectations. The most noticable thing is that this is a very strong cigar that hits you like a firework when you light it up. You will get a major buzz off this smoke even if you're used to ones like these. However the problem here is that this is probably one of the most one-dimensional tasting cigars there is. Tastes like pepper and that's about it. Not that this is a bad taste, or a really bad cigar, but it's just not enough complexity, and by the 1/2 way point it becomes much blander and starts to taste like a plain old AF which is not saying much.
Construction and burn are fine here, but this cigar does not justify what it goes for. The first 10 minutes are great, but the punch and taste falls off the table too way too fast.
Probably not good to make a review off just one (and a very small size to boot), but no way would I waste money on the larger sizes when there's much better cigars out there in the $3-6 range.

"Changed my mind on Opus X"
My local B&M had these at MSRP so I had to try 2. Laid them down for about 2 months and then lit them up. These two were flavor bombs which surprised me. I am noticing that small packages can really pack a punch.

"Exquisite"
The most appealing aspect of this cigar is that its tastes changes the most amount of any cigar I have ever had. Started off strong, overwhelming, then transferred to a heavy, warm, campfire wood, with hints of cedar and the sweetness of sherry.

"petite +"
A nice powerful little smoke. I have some of these from last year and they are amazing now. The oils came through the top of the wrapper (tiny sparkles) and look spectacular. Perfect draw. Smooth even burn. Very spicy. Loads of black pepper followed by hints of black cherry. Strong cedar at the 1/2. Even more powerful and flavorful than some of the other sizes. An earthy finish. Extremly enjoyable. A superb stick with lots of balance.

"good smoke"
A very good smoke fromt the line, I like these a little more than larger ones, really spicy at the beginning of the smoke doesn't stay spicy throughout the whole thing, but a very smooth cigar nonetheless

"not for rookies"
the blend of the No. 4 makes it the corona to measure all others by. Nice and strong for a 43 ringer, if this blend were in a bigger cigar it could be too much. If you don't like spicy or peppery cigars, look elsewhere, and don't spend more than $15 on one (it happens all the time).

"One of my favorites"
This was smoothest cigar I've ever had. Great flavor, stayed even until the end. Burned very cleanly and held the ash for a long time. Very nicely constructed cigar. Very tasty. Peppery comments are curious, as I haven't noticed much pepper flavor, but then I like spicy. I rated the value lower, as it is an expensive cigar, yet well worth the money to me.

"Incredible"
Fantastic full-bodied & multi-dimensional flavor. Nice even & slow burn except 1 incident of tunneling towards the end. This PC is the best Opie size, because they're so rich & satisfying. The bigger ones give me quite the buzz.

"Not Crazy about Opus"
Second size I've tried and disappointed again. Where's the overpowering flavor? Much better high-end smokes out there -- Hemi's/Don Carlos taste much better.

"Disappointing"
The flavor was great... when the cigar burned right. It just wouldn't stay lit. If I have to relight every couple of puffs, it really isnt worth the time and definitely not worth the money.

"Over rated and over hyped"
Another overhyped Fuente. It is a potent corona and construction is very good. But its a $5.00 cigar that everyone is charging $25.00 for. Don't fall for this trap. There are a lot better cigars. This included all the Fuente line.

"Among the better Opus"
This was one of the better Opus X I have tried. It's certainly more potent than a lot of the larger cigars in the Opus line. The burn was absolutely flawless, one of the most appealing white ashes I have ever seen. Overall, an excellent smoke, albeit overpriced.

"underated!"
These oily coronas have a spicy/woody flavor and considerable muscle for a 43 ring. Humidor time has only enhanced them. I'm surprised at the lower scores seen here, - I've always enjoyed these.

"Coming along nicely"
This Opus #4 was a year old and had been storred a 65% RH. I actually liked it better than the 3 y/o #4 I smoked before hand. The flavor was not as mild as the 3 y/o, but is was more to my liking. The vague spice that is over powered by the pepper Opus flavor was coming through nicely. It almost a cooking style spice that I tasted. Like cloves perhaps.

"good corona"
Slighty scaled down version of the OpusX Fuente Fuente. Nutty and woody, not too strong. Mine are aging very well

"Nasty"
People who think Fuente can do no wrong will call this 'rich,' but its really hot, strong, and unpleasant. Pepper dominates. Creamy white smoke is -very- peppery and offensive to others. Don't get it in your eyes either. Not the place to start with the Opus X line.
