"A good reliable cigar..."
This cigar although I could not quite put my finger on the flavors that it presented was very good. The tobacco flavor was very mild. The draw and burn were perfect.

"Under Appreciated Smoke"
The Pita is a surprisingly pleasing smoke. The taste is salty-nutty-creamy with a little spice, just like I like it. Probably full-bodied enough to please some, as that is the current fad. But this cigar is tasty and the construction if stored in the proper humidity is top-knotch. So what's the problem at less than three bucks a pop on the internet site that will-not-be-named.

"Well... my girlfriend loves them..."
I got a box of these from a friend last Christmas. They are pretty conistant from stick to stick, but that's not necessarily a good thing. They don't seem to get better with age. It's an all around average medium-bodied cigar. They lack any real depth, but that has been my experience with all Punch cigars. I would recommend these to new smokers, as they aren't overwhelming. The good news is, my girlfriend loves these things and she finished off my box. She used to only smoke Montecristo White Labels, so if she wants to switch over to Punch that's just fine with my wallet and I.

"Smooth"
Got this part of sampler from Thomson. Nice texture, smooth and even burn, good draw. First third woody but nice. Middle nice and mild, hints of oak and dark chocolate. A few bitter notes at the end, but good everyday smoke overall. Would love to buy a few and put away to age and see what develops.

"Great Buy"
If you can find these in a sampler, get them. This smoke, despite a tear in the wrapper, was a wonderful experience. The tear corrected itself without any relighting, and the flavor was smooth and spicy. Very prominent on the front of the tongue with a delicious aroma.

"A true classic"
I have a few friends that attest to smoke only cubans and on more than one occasion I would catch them puffing on these pitas. I thought i would give them a try, and I agree that these are about as good as a lot of cubans today. The wrapper is smooth fine and flawless. at light up you get a nice nutty creamy flavor with a nice smoke aroma. the ash is white and very sharp it held on for about 1/3 of the way. the flavor picked up some spice and a woody earthy hint to the nut flavor. After smoking about ten of these, this cigar really never disappoints and I can see why these are a great alternative to a cuban.

"Often overlooked but one of the best..."
This cigar is one of the best for consistency, construction, a razor-sharp burn and, at less than $3 a smoke, perhaps the best value in cigardom. It produces volumes of smoke, decent flavor and a strong finish during the hour-long smoke. The wrapper is nearly flawless, with an oily, silky patina that only improves with age. I'm half way through my second box and waited until now to rate it. Every smoke had the consistency of a top cigar without a flaw in the group. I have a weakness for Fuente Don Carlos but not the wallet to afford them on an every-day basis. The Pita is more than an adequate stand-in for my daily smoke, saving the Don Carlos' for the weekend. The Pita is wholefully under-rated and under-appreciated, IMO.

"Sometimes it just comes back to basics..."
I remember one of the first premium cigars I began to enjoy was Punch. Mainly because they were so accessible and priced decently for the "newbie". With the vast amount of cigars to experience I sort of forgot how much I enjoyed these. I picked up a 10 pack on auction and have really come to enjoy these. I went to a hot rod/antique car show this past weekend at the beach and smoked these while walking around and it made my weekend! Very consistant, smooth draw, even burn, and all around enjoyable. No suprises, but totally satisfying. It is amazing how a $4 or $5 cigar can make an enjoyable afternoon and many $10 and $20 cigars can be depressingly not enjoyable, especially for the price paid.

"An Old Standby"
I used to enjoy Punch cigars many years ago. That was when there were not too many brands out there and certainly before all of the boutique type cigars. Over the years I got away from Punch and now enjoy RPs, some Gurkhas, Garmirians, etc. After reading these reviews I got a handful of these cigars and am happy I did. Solid medium body with a little bit of bite (which I like). Straightforward tobacco flavors. Slightly (very little) sweet. Excellent burn and construction. I think this is a bit like a nice old-fashioned ice cream cone - nothing fancy but still delicious and worth the time. Thanks to the other reviewers for inspiring me to try this old stand-by again.

"Best yet."
This may be the best Punch cigar I've ever smoked. It's smooth like the Chateau L with a little more oomph. The wrapper is nice and oily, the burn near perfect and the flavor is great. I like Punch but this one was a step above.

"Good straightforward smoke"
This well-made cigar has a very good draw and burn. It's medium-bodied with coffee, sweet wood, and straight-forward tobacco flavors with some pencil lead on the finish. A good value if bought in the affordable 10-count box.

This cigar looked well as I prepared it for smoke. However, I just found the flavor too heavy with a lot of bite. Maybe it needed more time in the humi. Good construction but just strong.

"I'll take a box"
I would not hesitate to buy a box of these smokes. They have excellent construction and a perfect burn with a rather complex amount of flavors to them. I like a cigar with spic thats rich and full. Oh a few months in the humi help these out a lot. So let em sleep a bit, you won't be sorry.

"A WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE"
What a perfect cigar. Tight hard roll with a perfect burn and draw. Medium to full flavor but never harsh or bitter. The flavor was rich with chocolate undertones. Tons of smoke that had a great aroma. Enjoyed today during a cold but sunny day, blue skies and good book. This is what life is about. Give this one a try. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

"Well made."
After 2 months rest I decided to try my second ever, Pita. The firm roll produces a razor sharp burn and full draw. Very sharp spicy flavor with an underlying cedary sweetness and a med-full body. As I've said before, Punch is an acquired taste and I like'em.

"Enjoyable"
The Pita starts very creamy and almost sweet. A little vanilla undertone appears during the first few puffs and the body is medium at best. Slowly it picks up strength and a slight bitterness blends with the afore mentioned flavors. The strength reaches med-full as it approaches half way with more pronounced flavors and still the slight bitterness. Punch is an acquired taste and they're not for everyone. I enjoy them as a change of pace.

"This Punch packs a wallop of nice flavor"
Tonight I pulled this stick out of the glass top of my humidor. It has been ageing for about a year and a half. The ageing process perhaps enhanced the taste of this cigar. While I frequently enjoy the Punch in its oscuro form, my experience with previous samplings of the natural Ecuador wrapper was that it was somewhat rough tasting. This cigar however was lights-out delicious. The wrapper was a darkish brown with very a apparent oilyness. It light up nicely with a pleasant full flavor of soft pepperiness. The prelight aroma was nice too. The flavor was rich, spicy and full without a harsh note. It burned evenly with no assistance from my lighter and was tasty all the way through as I smoked it down to the nub. The ash was very solid and would have possiby hung on even closer to the end if I had not flicked it off earlier. I have enjoyed a variety of fine cigars this week and this Punch would rate 2nd only to the Savinelli Liga Especial that I smoked earlier.

"A PLAIN AVERAGE CIGAR"
A rough looking, veiny wrapper, with some blackish blotches. I am surprised it passed inspection, it most likely should have been sold as a "second." The roll, draw, and burn were fine. I thought I may be in for a real treat, because the first quarter was rather tasty. A complex mix of fruit, nuts, and toast. But as it neared the one third to midway point, it became rather boring. Not bad, but just a straight-forward, plain tobacco flavor. At least it did remain smooth and leathery. I will smoke the other four singles, but I will not be buying more anytime soon. Perhaps they may improve some with age.

"Toothy Pick"
The carnel-colored, toothy wrapper on this stick had a off-centered cap, giving it a somewhat rough appearance. The steady, even burn and full flavor were very consistent throughout. I usually prefer the maduro, but gave this one a slight edge. Recommend.

"Another one not too impressive"
I was hoping that the rest of the Punch line was as good as the MM Rothschild, but I seem to be out of luck. Although the flavors were nicely toasty and grassy to start, there was an off-note flavor in there that was really distracting. In the second half it developed a fairly decent creaminess and was ok, but nothing truly special. Buy the Rothschild MM or M instead.
