Punch (Hon) Magnum (maduro)

I had one of the smaller cigars in this line a week or two ago, and seeing as I usually like a bigger cigar better I had high hopes for this particular smoke. It simply didn't live up to my expectations taste wise. Everything else about the cigar was wonderful, but the taste is going to ruin this one for me.

Had this after years of pressure from a friend of mine who loves Punch cigars. I tried one when I first started smoking and just didn't like it. I do like their cuban line though. So I decided to pick up one from the regular line, Gran Puro, and Cru line to give them a shot. This first smoke made me eat my words. Great maduro flavor and Conn. Broadleaf is one of my favorite maduro wrappers. Nice bittersweet chocolate flavors with burnt wood undertones. Great finish that left your tastebuds wanting more. Thinking about getting a box but I need to sample more.

I smoked the Magnum double Maduro at a rep visit at a local cigar shop and walked out with a box. This cigar has it all, if you like medium- to full-bodied cigars. Complex, rich flavors that leave a wonderful after-taste. Beautiful aroma and burn. Nice even draw throughout.

I got this one in a wine bar yesterday. From the light-up it was delicious! Perfect draw, and an easy light. It starts off nice and smoothly woody, and about halfway through gets really peppery, all at once. It lasted a really long time too! Great smoke!
